I am a very proud 4.0 student of my local community college, LCCC. I waited to go to college and started my family first. This has given me the opportunity to not only enjoy my education, but share it with my children. Though I could never be a teacher (no patience), I do love to watch my kids look amazed at the 'magic' I can perform with my PC, and then show them how it's done. I think it has helped to get them more interested in all the many things out there that we can learn to do. I'm currently working on required classes along with as much programming as I can fit in. I have completed a comprehensive web design program and look forward to working more on the development end (shopping carts, etc.). I will go on to the University of Wyoming when I finish at the college here. In my spare time I like to go to SmartPlanet to see what they've got cooking. They have classes on just about everything. Some are free, some are paid self-study, and others are paid instructor-lead. It keeps me sharp between classes and it's fun. Take a look sometime. |
