After Tien and Chaotzu had been scraped off of the floor, Gokuu and ChiChi ran out excitedly, ready for the competition. Unfortunately, Bulma and Vejiita made their way there a little slower. Bulma was ready to compete as well, but Vejiita seemed to be having problems again. She could feel a massive headache coming on. He always seemed to annoy her at the most inappropriate times, and this was no exception. All she knew was that after the tournament, she was going to make him sleep outside the trailer with the dogs for the next three weeks.
"I can't fight my sensei!” Vejiita was crying as she shoved him with all her might onto the dance floor. “Kakarroto is my hero! I can't compete against him, Bulma! I just can't!"
"Listen Veggie!" Bulma screamed, fed up with him. "You can and you will! Got it?!"
"Yes, Bulma. I’m sorry, Bulma."
"Now get your sorry ass out on that dance floor!" She ordered, pointing to where Gokuu and ChiChi already stood, waiting for the music. Then she flounced away from him, her platform shoes angrily slapping against the wooden floor.
Up on the stage, Two Cyborgs and a Human were just starting the next song. As the beginning beats for “Stayin’ Alive” sounded, Bulma nodded. This was a song that she knew well. Her and Vejiita had often practiced dancing to this song in the trailer. There was never that much room though, so their only moves were tight and close --- something that she was dreading at the moment.
Gokuu and ChiChi started to bust a move, performing a rehearsed and very coordinated dance routine. Bulma watched them, disappointed. They had obviously practiced to this song as well, for they had a very strong routine going on. 'Oooooohs! and 'Ahhhhhhs! came from the audience as their moves started getting more and more advanced.
"Oh no!" Bulma cried. "Vejiita, we've got to do something."
No reply came. When she glanced to her side, she saw that Vejiita was no longer next to her, ready to dance. Frustrated, she looked behind her and found him at the edge of the floor, sobbing at the very thought of competing with his sensei. Disgusted, she rolled her eyes at him. As soon as they walked out that door, she was going to demand a divorce. What the hell had she been thinking?
She sighed. "Come on Vejiita, we're going to forfeit."
Vejiita sniffled then hugged her tightly. "Thank you Bulma. I......I just couldn't do it."
"You need to get a life, you know that?" Bulma snapped, shoving him away from her roughly. She swore that if he touched her again, she was going to lock him in a room with Lunch and throw pepper at her until she sneezed. “You are the most pathetic man I have ever known.”
"God Bulma!! Why do you always have to upset me like this!?" Vejiita sobbed.
Gokuu dipped ChiChi down to the floor in one of their best moves. He knew that they probably did not need to continue dancing, so he slowed down and merely held his wife in his arms. They were going to win for sure, anyway. He had seen Bulma lead Vejiita away from the dance floor in tears. When the announcer explained that the couple had forfeited, Gokuu was not surprised. Vejiita had always been a delicate flower, and he knew that the pressure of competition would be too much for him. He shook his head in disappointment. When Vejiita first came to town he had such high hopes for him and his dancing ability, but obviously he just couldn’t cut the competition.
"I AM THE NUMBER ONE DISCO DANCER!!!!" Piccolo yelled.
As he watched Piccolo enthusiastically pump the air with his fists, he thought about the Namek’s deceased archenemy, Mirai Trunks. It was sad that the boy had to die. He had been a good boy in the beginning, and he certainly had good taste in women. He just couldn't measure up to Piccolo's dancing ability. Anyway, now that Mirai Trunks was gone, He didn't have to worry about Chi-Chi's affections straying. He wanted ChiChi all to himself.
He caught sight of Piccolo glaring at him. Well, maybe he had ChiChi all to himself. He had a feeling that he might have to worry about the Namek as well.
