A.J. woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. After waking up countless times thinking about Carol, he finally had a good night's sleep. It was 5:00 a.m. and time for rehearsal. He walked into the room Carol was sleeping in. She was still sleeping peacefully.
He then walked in his bathroom and took a shower. As he finished, he changed into a pair of baggy jeans and a white wife beater. He put on his sunglasses and baseball cap and drove to the venue.
Carol woke up to the sound of singing. She looked around. The recent events came back to her. Scott, leaving, and A.J. It was 6:30 p.m. She changed into something more comfortable then jeans. She walked down the stairs, as the singing became more clearer.
"You're the reason why I found my way. And you're the reason why I feel this way. And you're the reason why I have to say. I had to let you know you're my everything," A.J. and Krystal Harris sang together.
"So many things I wanna say to you. I'd give my all to you just because. You came around and gave me. All your, all your love. Now I'd sacrifice my very life. All you have to do is say the word. And there would never be no other," A.J. sang. They both then began to sing the chorus and finished the song. Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! A.J. and Krystal looked up and saw Carol at the bottom of the stairs with a tear in her eyes.
"That was a beautiful song," Carol commented. "A.J.? Can I use your phone, please?" Carol asked.
"Sure," A.J. replied as he pointed to the cordless next to Carol.
"Thank you," Carol said as she picked up the phone and dialed Buckland Auction. "Hello? Susan? Can I speak to Mr. Roberts? I know I didn't go to work today. Well, I really need to talk to him. Good. Mr. Roberts? I just wanted to let you know that I want to leave this job. I know. It's because of personal reasons that I don't feel comfortable talking to you about. Thank you sir. Good-bye," Carol spoke into the phone as she spoke into the phone.
"Carol, what was that all about?" A.J. asked.
"Well, you heard and I don't really feel like talking about it right now. Okay?" Carol replied.
"Okay," A.J. said as he looked at Krystal.
"I'm sorry," Carol apologized to Krystal. "You probably don't even know me. I'm Carol," Carol introduced herself to Krystal. "A friend of A.J.'s. You have a beautiful voice."
"Thank you. I'm Krystal," Krystal started. "I'm going to be touring with A.J. and the boys."
"Touring?" Carol asked.
"Yeah. I'll tell you about it later," A.J. said.
"Okay, I guess," Carol said. "Don't worry A.J. I'm going to look in the newspaper and find an apartment. I'll probably be out of here by the day after tomorrow," she whispered as she walked up the stairs. A.J. looked at her as she walked up the stairs. I have to find out what is wrong with her. A.J. thought.
"She seems nice," Krystal said. "You like her don't you," she asked.
"Um... Y... Y... Yeah," A.J. stuttered.
"You have got it bad," Krystal said as she walked out of the door.
"Where you going?" A.J. asked.
"I have a plane to catch remember? I'm visiting my family for the next week," Krystal said.
"Oh... Yeah. See you later," A.J. said.
