*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 4

Saturday, June 6, 1998

Valondra woke up the next morning thinking it was all a dream. Why would any of the events the night before ever happen to her? She wasn’t that lucky and it wasn’t normal. Meeting the Backstreet Boys and hanging out with them did not happen to someone like her. Her parents didn’t know she existed so last night didn’t happen. Nothing good happens to her. She was just a loner and doomed to walk the lonely road.

She decided to crawl out of bed about 10:30, since she wasn’t a morning person. She went and got her shower and then stood in her bedroom in front of her mirror. She picked up her hairbrush and started brushing through her hair when she noticed a few odd things. It was the same stuff that was in her “dream”: some concert memorabilia. The tickets were also lying there and she put her brush down and picked up the tickets.

“What the hell?” Valondra asked out loud and then it all finally sank in. It wasn’t a dream after all and she was actually there. She, Lillie, Hannah, and Farah were at the concert and they never even thanked her. She sighed and sat on the bed thinking. She picked up the coat that was lying beside her and looked at it. It was Brian’s jacket. He gave it to her the night before on the way home since it got a little chilly. She sat there a few minutes and then smiled. “The Clearwater Inn.” She threw the tickets on the bed, grabbed her keys, and then ran out of the room. She ran out of the house and down the walk. She ran into someone and they both fell to the ground. “Oiy!” Valondra sat up and saw her friend, Antoinette. “Hey, Toni.”

“Hey, Loni,” Antoinette said sitting up also. “Are we in a hurry?”

“Kind of,” Valondra said getting up and she helped her friend up.

“Going to see Fox?” Antoinette asked. “I just saw him.”

“No,” Valondra said. “I need to go check something out. You can tag along if ya want.” “Nah, that’s alright,” Antoinette said. “I have things of my own to do.”

“Ok,” Valondra said. “I’ll be back later if you want to stop by then.”

“Sure,” Antoinette said getting in her car. “Later.”

“See ya,” Valondra said and Antoinette drove off. Valondra started walking again and saw another one of her friends.

“Loni!”

“Ariel!” Valondra called returning the wave and they met up with each other.

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

“And where are we heading this beautiful morning that is now officially our summer vacation?”

“The Clearwater Inn.”

“What’s there?”

“A surprise only if you come.”

“Sure. I was heading to see you anyway.” The girls started walking. “What’d you do last night?” Valondra looked at her and smiled. “You finally slept with Fox.”

“No!”

“Then what’d you do?”

“What’d you do?”

“Watched the tellie with my sister all night.”

“Cool.”

“You?”

“I, um, went to a concert.”

“Awe, Fox finally take you to a concert?”

“No.”

“You went by yourself?”

“Not exactly although now I wish I did or took you, Fox, and Toni with.” She opened the hotel lobby door and left Ariel in.

“Who’d you go see?” Valondra just looked at her, as they approached the receptionist.

“Good morning, Ladies,” the receptionist said. “How may I help you?”

“Well,” Valondra began looking at her name tag, “Sarah, I’m Loni and this is Ariel. I was wondering if a group of five guys, known as the Backstreet Boys, are staying here.”

“Actually,” Sarah began, but interrupted.

“The Backstreet Boys!” Ariel basically yelled. “The BSB are here in Clearwater and you didn’t bother telling me. What’s wrong with you?”

“I’ll tell you later,” Valondra said. “I just have to know if they’re here or not.”

“As a matter of fact,” Sarah began and eying each girl, “they are staying here, but I can’t let you up.” They just looked at her. “Do you personally know them?”

“Well,” Valondra began smiling, but interrupted by the calling of her name. The three girls looked and Valondra smiled and looked at Sarah. “Never mind.” She pulled Ariel over to the guys, still smiling, and stopped in front of them.

“Hey, Loni,” Nickolas said, as Brian hugged her.

“Hey,” Valondra said elbowing Ariel. “This is Ariel Jackson. Ariel, the BSB.”

“Nice to meet you, Ariel,” Alexander said taking her hand and giving it a kiss, as Ariel just looked at him in amazement. “You are touched by God’s beauty. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.”

“Thanks,” Ariel said. “And I won’t.”

“We were just on our way to your house,” Howard said. “I wanted to know when your friend and I are going out.”

“It’s up to you,” Valondra said.

“What friend?” Ariel questioned.

“Lillie,” Valondra answered.

“Are you sure?” Ariel wanted to know. “She’s clingy.”

“Loni filled me in last night, but I’m willing to take my chances,” Howard said.

“Good luck,” Ariel said.

“Why don’t you take her out tonight so she’ll shut up?” Valondra questioned.

“That’ll be fine,” Howard said. “I even told Kevin about your other friend and he’s game.”

“Great,” Valondra said.

“What other friend?” Ariel asked excitedly.

“Um, uh, Farah,” Valondra replied.

“Don’t leave me hanging girl,” Ariel said and then started shaking Valondra. “I want one too.”

“There’s three left,” Valondra said going back and forth. “Have your pick, but I ain’t doing any favors.”

“Make it two,” Alexander said. “Nick’s already taken.”

“By who?” Ariel questioned, as she stopped shaking Valondra and looked at the guys.

“By a sweet little thing named Valondra Summers,” Alexander smirked and Nickolas glared at him. “What a slut,” Ariel said and Valondra elbowed her in the side. “Oiy!”

“Come about seven,” Kevin said. “If we’re not here in the lobby then come right up.”

“Up where?” Ariel asked.

“To the PS,” Kevin said.

“Presidential Suite,” Ariel blurted out and Valondra elbowed her again. “Oiy!”

“That’s the place,” Alexander said laughing.

“Great,” Ariel said glaring at Valondra and a bunch of girls ran into the lobby screaming the Boys’ names and they pushed Valondra and Ariel out of the way. The two girls stood there looking and then looked at each other. “Are you hungry? I’m starving.”

“Yeah sure,” Valondra said.

“Good, my treat,” Ariel said, as they walked to the dining area. “It’s the least I can do since you just introduced me to the five hottest guys on the planet.”

“Great,” Valondra said, as they walked into the dining room.
