*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*

Chapter 13

“I can’t believe Loni left,” Ariel said, as her and Jonathan danced. “This is her party and her house and she leaves.”

“Well, Nick had that romantic date planned for them on the beach,” Jonathan said. “I can’t blame him for wanting to have some alone time with her, she is gorgeous.”

“Hey, that’s my best friend you’re talking about,” Ariel said.

“So sorry,” Jonathan said kissing her. “But she is hot.”

“Yeah she is,” Ariel agreed. “I’m almost jealous.” He laughed. “So how long are you here for again?”

“Another week.”

“So we have a whole week to see each other? Cool.” He nodded. “I’d introduce you to my parents, but it might seem a little too soon.”

“Nah, I say the sooner the better. Ya have to get it out of the way or else you’re going to be nervous the whole time you’re dating.”

“If you say. Whenever you’re ready.”

“Just as long as they’re nothing like Loni’s parents.”

“You don’t even know Loni’s parents.”

“I’ve been hearing enough stories.” They laughed.

“My parents are sweet. They offered to adopt Loni as their own, but her parents wouldn’t hear of it. But you’ll get along great with my folks.”

“I hope so. I want to continue seeing their daughter.”

“And I want to continue seeing you.”

“What about the age difference?”

“They won’t care just as long as their children are happy. But then again if the dude’s old enough to be my dad or grandfather then they might have a few things to say about it, but other then that they’re so cool.”

“Cool.” They danced a few minutes and then Jonathan said, “You’re beautiful, ya know that?” She smiled.

“Uh, thanks.”

“I’m being honest. I think you are absolutely gorgeous; inside and out.”

“Thank you. You’re gorgeous also.” They both smiled and she kissed him. “Thanks for already making this a summer I won’t forget.”

“You’re welcome.” She smiled again and he kissed her this time.

Valondra and Nickolas were still on the beach. Neither wanted the night to end and just wanted to spend the time in the others company. They just spent the night talking and getting to know each other.

“Thank you for a wonderful night, Nick,” Valondra said, as they walked along. “It was just great.”

“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself,” Nickolas said. “I had a great time too.” She smiled. “You’re fun to be around.”

“So are you.”

“Thanks.”

“How’d you know I’d come along?”

“It wasn’t that hard.” She looked at him. “A seventeen-year-old girl grounded and home by herself…she’s not going to follow the rules.”

“True.”

“And the guardian’s just as rebellious.”

“Fran’s cool.”

“And I’m glad she is.” They laughed. “Plus Ariel and Toni filled me in.”

“Right; I bet they were telling you all kinds of secrets about me that aren’t true.”

“I don’t know, but I’m hoping to find out in the future.”

“I think it can be arranged.”

“I hope so.” They stopped walking and looked at each other. They put their arms around each other and swayed back and forth to the music. “I’m having such a great time tonight I don’t think I’ll want to leave tomorrow.”

“So don’t.”

“I wish I didn’t have to, but I have an obligation to the fans.”

“I know.”

“Maybe after the tour we can get together and hang out for awhile, ya know.”

“That’d be nice.”

“I know it would be.” She smiled.

“You seem so confident for only knowing me a few days.” He smiled. “I feel confident too. But I’m a woman that knows what I want.”

“And I know what I want too.”

“Good.”

“I want someone like you.” She nodded. “Smart, caring, sexy…”

“Sexy?”

“Is that the wrong thing to say this soon?”

“No, because it makes me feel good.”

“Anything to help.”

“So you’re saying you didn’t actually mean it? You just said it to make me feel good.” Nickolas just smiled. “You’re an ass.”

“What can I say?” He continued smiling and kissed her. “You are sexy and I mean it.”

“Gee, thanks.”

“You’re welcome.” She kissed him and they continued dancing.
