*~The Dream Of A Lifetime~*“Any improvement with Lon and Nick?” Brian asked, as he sat at McDonald’s with Kevin and Howard. “None,” Howard replied. “She still hates him.” “She threw a box of stuff at him yesterday,” Kevin added. “Which possessed a thousand dollar necklace.” “Wow!” Brian exclaimed. “We also found out,” Howard began, “that the engagement ring Nicky got for Lon was 500 grand.” “Did you just say $500,000?” Brian questioned. “Sure did,” Kevin said. “Rachel’s engagement ring didn’t even cost that,” Brian pointed out. “Don’t tell her though.” They laughed. “Apparently Valondra’s very important to Nick,” Kevin said. “I believe it,” Brian said. “How was Colorado?” Howard asked changing the subject. “It was fun,” Brian replied. “We couldn’t go skiing though, because of the avalanche.” “Bummer,” Howard said, as his mind began to wander and the guys noticed right away. “It’s either Lillie or Charisma,” Kevin said. “Take your pick.” “I think I’m pretty sure who it is,” Brian replied, as they just looked at Howard. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Alexander and Charisma were at Alexander’s house, getting ready to go to Charisma’s. They were in the parlor, while Alexander sang a song he wrote just for Charisma. She sat there in awe, then began to wonder what it would be like if Howard sang to her. Charisma just smiled at Alexander after he was done and he asked, “What did ya think?” “It was beautiful. It should definitely be on the new album.” “I’m hoping it will be.” He kissed her. “I want the world to know how much I love you.” “I love you too. I think we should go though, because I got work in three hours.” “Why don’t ya quit? And let me take care of you.” “Because I can take care of myself and I need to pay me part of the rent and need to pay for college.” “I can take care of that for you.” “I’m getting older so I must take responsibility. Your offer’s very tempting though and I appreciate it, but the answer’s no.” “Fine; I’m not going to be nice anymore.” “And I’m not going to be your girlfriend.” “I love when you threaten me. Do it some more, because it turns me on.” “If you don’t take me home this is the last time you see me.” “Very feisty. I like it.” He kissed her and they got up. “Home we go.” “Thank you.” She gave him another kiss and they walked out arm in arm. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * “What are you doing today, Lys?” Lillie asked. “Working,” Alyssa replied looking out the window. “I work until six. I was going to spend it with Kevin, but the one girl called in sick so they asked me to stay longer.” “Sucks to be you,” Storm said. “I’m going to be with Lance at Disney World. Speaking of which, he should be here any minute.” She got up and took her stuff to the sink. “What are you doing, Lil?” “Shopping,” Lillie replied. “It was Howie’s idea.” “You go all out,” Alyssa said, as the back door opened. “Get the most expensive stuff. Hey, Lance.” “Hey, Ladies,” Lance said, as Storm greeted him with a kiss. “I’m thinking this is going to be good,” Alyssa stated still looking out the window. The other’s looked at her confused and Storm asked, “What is?” “Nick’s here,” Alyssa replied. “And he’s going back to the spring…the same way I saw Lon go an hour earlier and she still ain’t back. I’m thinking they’re meeting there.” “Ya never know,” Lance said. “This has to be good,” Alyssa started, “because he just wouldn’t go back there if he knew Loni wasn’t. I mean, he was always going back there when he knew she was back there. I’ve never seen him go back there when she wasn’t back there. I’m in the mood to spy now.” “Sounds fun,” Lillie agreed. “And I’d love to stay and find out what happens in the ongoing saga of Loni and Nick, but I got work,” Alyssa said looking at her watch. “I’ll see ya’ll later.” “Bye,” Storm said and Alyssa walked out. “So who wants to spy?” Lillie asked. “How much I would love to spy I’m not going to do it,” Storm said. “It’s disrespectful to them both although it would be loads of fun.” “Exactly,” Lance agreed. “They’re my friends and I’m not going to disrespect them, because I know they wouldn’t disrespect me.” “I guess ya have a point,” Lillie said. “Are you ready, Lance?” Storm asked. “Yeah,” Lance answered. “I’ll walk out with ya’s,” Lillie said. “I have to go meet Howie at his place.” The girls made sure everything was off and then they went out the back way with Lance.
