“We finally made it home,” Howard said, as the bus drove through Orlando. “Yeah and we finally got the night off,” Kevin said. “I can finally rest up after, like, a week straight of performances.” “Rachel and I can finally have a night to ourselves,” Brian said, as he wrapped his arms around her and she smiled. “First I’m going to spend time with my family and tell them the good news,” Rachel said. “What good news?” Valondra asked. “Nothing,” Rachel lied looking at Brian and he smiled. “Rachel’s having a baby! Rachel’s having a baby!” Lillie chanted and Rachel glared at her. “I’m kidding.” “Yeah,” Rachel said. “So what’s everyone doing tonight?” Valondra asked. “I don’t know,” Lillie said. “Howie and I didn’t discuss it.” “D, what are you waiting for?” Valondra questioned and he looked at her. “It’s the first night you guys finally get to yourselves and you didn’t even discuss what you’re going to do. My goodness I’m glad you’re not my boyfriend.” “What are you and Nick going to do?” Howard asked. “That’s our little secret,” Nickolas replied pulling Valondra onto his lap. “Please do share,” Alexander said getting in on the action. “Probably not,” Valondra replied. “It’s our little secret.” “Come on,” Alexander said. “I want to know.” “Then you’ll just go ahead and steal our idea,” Valondra stated. “I don’t think so.” “I have no woman, Loni,” Alexander reminded her. “Or did you forget that.” “No,” Valondra said. “If ya really must know we’re going to the movies and then out to dinner,” Nickolas stated and Valondra knew he was lying. “Was it that hard?” Alexander asked, as Rachel and Lillie looked at each other and busted out laughing. “Sicko’s,” Valondra said. “I don’t think he met that way. Did you?” “Mmm…maybe,” Alexander smirked. “Well that’s none of your business,” Valondra rebutted. “So it is true,” Lillie said. “What’s true?” Kevin asked. “That Loni and Nick are shagging,” Lillie replied. “We are not for the fiftieth time,” Valondra snapped. “Why do you keep on insisting that?” “Probably because before we met them you talked of nothing but shagging Nick rotten,” Lillie stated trying to embarrass her friend, but not succeeding. “I said a lot of things that I never did,” Valondra said. “Name one,” Lillie said. “Alright,” Valondra said. “I said I was going to shag Howie and I still didn’t.” “Whoa!” Brian said. “Was there anything about me?” “Who cares,” Rachel said slapping him. “You’re not going to do anything with her anyway.” “I’m joking,” Brian said. “Actually…yeah,” Valondra said. “Basically the same thing though, but did it happen, no. I say a lot of things, but I don’t actually do it.” “I can vouch for that,” Nickolas said and Valondra elbowed him. “Oiy! Not that I’m complaining though.” “Good,” Valondra said. “You don’t need to get all cranky about it,” Lillie said. “You could’ve just said no.” “Well I did before, and you didn’t believe me,” Valondra said. “You just keep on insisting I’m sleeping with Nick when I’m not. Even if we were sleeping together it wouldn’t be anyone’s damn business, because I don’t care about your sexual status.” “Well maybe if you explain yourself better,” Lillie said. “Even Rachel knew I was joking,” Valondra stated. “And how much more clearer does the word ‘no’ have to be for you to understand it?” “Now you’re going to get all mad at me,” Lillie said and Valondra just glared at her. “Fine go ahead. I don’t care.” “Just remember who invited you to that concert and got you hooked up a year ago,” Valondra reminded her. “And they still didn’t get a thank you.” “Whatever,” Lillie snapped. “Yeah whatever,” Valondra shot back and she got up and walked to the front of the bus and Nickolas followed her. “Loni D,” Nickolas said, as she sat at the table and he sat beside her. “What’s going on?” “Nothing,” Valondra answered. “What’s with the attitude lately?” “I’m just sick of everyone saying we’re having sex when they know perfectly well we’re not. I don’t go around and interfere in their sex life so I just wish they would stay the hell out of mine.” “Oh, Princess.” He embraced her. “It’ll be all right.” “I’m not like them and sleep with every guy I come across. I have morals and respect for myself and I don’t want to be compared to my sister, Majandra. She had sex, got pregnant, and now has a one year old to take care of. Oh and a skuzzy boyfriend who’s a lazy piece of shit and doesn’t want to give his son a real home.” “Well you don’t have to worry about that with me.” “I guess not. I know you’re not skuzzy or a lazy piece of shit.” “And I would give our child a good home whether it be a beautiful baby girl like there mommy or a handsome baby boy like there daddy.” “Conceited much?” He grinned and kissed her forehead. “You do understand why I want to wait, right?” “Yes, of course I do. You know I’m not going to pressure you into doing something you don’t want to do.” “I’m glad you understand. I just think its best we wait and not rush into anything like the others did.” They looked at each other. “I want this relationship to work out and I think by having sex, like, a year into it it’s not going to work out, ya know.” He nodded. “Plus, by us waiting, to get into each other’s pants, it’ll be a lot more romantic and shit when we do decide to take that step.” “That was deep.” He smiled and kissed her. “No wonder I love you, Princess. You say the things I’m thinking, but just can’t say, ya know.” She nodded. “We have a good thing going here. We have a good connection and know what’s going on with one another and what we’re thinking.” “Yes we do and it’s cool.” “Very cool.” They smiled and kissed again.
