Kaci and Nick go get Frankie at the side gate by the garage.
“Hey mami,” Frankie says when Kaci opens the gate, giving her a hug.
“Hey Frankie,” Kaci says returning Frankie’s hug.
“Hey man,” Nick says extending his hand to Frankie.
“Frankie this is Nick, Nick, Frankie.”
“Nice to meet you man,” Frankie says returning Nick’s handshake.
“I gotta go get Hayley, so you can stay out here or come inside. You know mom won’t bite,” Kaci says with a little smirk.
Kaci goes in the house through the garage door.
“I thought you were in the guest house?” Jill says after turning around to see Kaci with Nick and Frankie.
“I came to get Hayley and open the gate to let Frankie in.”
“Hey Frankie,” Jill says getting up from the couch and giving him a hug.
“Hey Mrs. Roman,” Frankie says returning her hug.
“It was good seeing you again,” Jill says to Frankie. “I’m off to bed,” Jill tells Kaci.
They all say goodnight to Mrs. Roman. Kaci goes upstairs with her mom to get Hayley.
“Please behave yourself and keep it down when you come in the house so you don’t wake me up!” Jill says to Kaci before Kaci goes in her room to get Hayley.
“Alright mom, I’ll let Justin know too,” Kaci says then opens the door to her room.
“Goodnight,” Jill says then goes to her and Bob’s room.
Kaci gets Hayley and her two-way and goes downstairs to get Nick and Frankie.
“You boys ready?” Kaci asks when she gets downstairs.
“Aww, she’s so cute,” Nick says taking Hayley from Kaci.
“Let’s go boys, my mom is trying to sleep.”
Kaci, Nick and Frankie go out to the guest house.
“Wow, Justin did this up nice!” Frankie says when he walks into the guest house.
“Let me show you the studio!” Kaci says grabbing Frankie’s hand. “Take care of my baby while I show Frankie the studio, okay Carter?”
“Sure thing Jess!”
Kaci goes and shows Frankie the studio in the guest house. Meanwhile, Nick calls A.J. on Kaci’s phone.
“Hey Jess!” A.J. says answering his phone when he sees “Jess R.” on his caller ID.
“It’s me Aje!” Nick says trying to hold back a laugh realizing A.J. still is in love with Kaci.
“What do you want Nick?”
“You’ll never guess!”
“Guess what?” A.J. says confused.
“Jess still has Hayley! She’s like her pride and joy!”
“I already knew she still has Hayley and everything that happened! Now is that all you called me for?”
“Damn Aje, what’s going on that you’re not yourself?” Nick asks, picking up on A.J.’s distant vibe.
“Nothing Nick, I’m just busy!”
“Too busy for Jess?”
“Never! Why, what’s going on with Jess?”
“When exactly are you moving out here?”
“This time next month I’ll be back in Florida. I’m gonna stay with my mom for a few weeks before going down to West Palm. But why do you care? Are you trying to put your moves on my Jessica?”
“Why would you think something like that Aje?” Nick asks trying to play it off.
“Because I know you Carter! Now, keep your dirty little hands off my girl before I pull a Nick and come back early from California!”
“You wouldn’t!”
“I would, and just watch me if I find out you’re trying to put your moves on Jess!”
“Alright, alright, but if you must know, we are going out on a date tomorrow.”
“Says who?”
“Jess agreed to go out on a date with me tomorrow!”
“Where is Jess? And why did you call me from her phone anyways?”
“Oh, she’s giving Frankie J a tour of the studio that her and Justin have. I haven’t even gotten a tour of it, I feel so loved Aje!”
“Well, go get Jess, I want to talk to her!”
“Well aren’t you a pushy one today!”
“Just do it Carter!”
Nick takes Kaci’s phone and tries to find her, which might be impossible for him because all he knows is where the kitchen and living room are.
“Aje, you know this might not be a good idea! I don’t know where the studio is in the guest house!”
“Well start lookin! I don’t have all night, but for Jess, I do.”
“Woah Aje, you really are in love with her, aren’t you?”
“Who is Alex in love with?” Kaci asks finding Nick wondering around the hallway by the bedrooms.
“Oh Jess, Aje called, I was just going to look for you. Here, he wants to talk to you,” Nick says handing Kaci her phone.
“Y’all can go chill in the living room, I’m gonna go in here and talk to Alex. Oh and Frankie, help yourself to a drink or whatever food Justin has in the fridge,” Kaci says going into the master bedroom (her room) of the guest house.
Kaci shuts the door behind her as she goes into the master bedroom of the guest house. On the phone with A.J., but not having acknowledged him yet, she turns on the radio in the room and puts the CD that he made for her in and starts playing it.
“Hello?” Kaci says, finally acknowledging A.J.
“What took you so long?”
“Well, damn, I love you too!”
“Baby, you know I love you! But what’s this I hear you’re back with Jose?”
“It’s true, but you know I love you more than anything! C’mon Alex, I still have Hayley, she’s my pride and joy and she means the world to me!”
“I know, and you know that she is my pride and joy too! She’s part of the reason I’m moving back to Florida! I can’t stand not being with you and with her. I have nothing out here in California, everything I have is there in Boca Raton!”
“Alex stop, you’re gonna make me cry!”
“Oh no, don’t cry baby!” A.J. says, and then he realizes what he hears in the background. “Is that my CD?” he asks.
“Yes,” Kaci says shyly.
“Jess! Baby! Does anybody know?”
“Know what?”
“About the CD?”
“No.”
“Well, does anybody know about Hayley?”
“Yes.”
“Who knows?”
“Everyone pretty much. Well, everyone we both know. Like, Jose doesn’t know and neither does Angela, Doug, Kory, Tyler and well, I think it’s just Nick, Brian, Kevin, Howie, their ladies and Justin that know you gave me Hayley and that I didn’t buy her from a pet store.”
“Is that what everyone thinks? That you bought her?”
“Yeah,” Kaci says hesitantly. “But I thought that’s the way you wanted it? You wanted it to be our little secret, didn’t you?”
“Yes, and if that’s how it still is, then we should keep it that way.”
“Then that’s the way it will stay Alex. But I have to ask, what is the reason you decided to move back to Florida and not live in Malibu any more?” Kaci asks.
“I told you already baby, I’m moving for you. Besides, my mom is in Florida and you know how much I love my mom!”
“I do,” Kaci says then hears a beep on her phone.
“Baby, can you hold on a second, I got another call.”
“Sure thing Jess.”
“Okay, I’ll be back in a minute,” Kaci says then clicks over to take the incoming call.
“Hello?”
“Where are you?”
“Justin?”
“Yeah, where are you?”
“You know, you should write a song with that title, you’re always asking that question!”
“Real funny Jessica! Where did you go off to?”
“I’m in the guest house with Frankie and Nick, why?”
“Oh, I was looking for you here at Monkey Club! I didn’t know you went home! Frankie is there?”
“Yeah, Nick wanted to leave and I was starting to feel sick, so we left and came home and as we pulled in the driveway, Frankie called and wanted to come over, so I told him that he could. Don’t get your panties all up in a bunch because we’re in the guest house, I don’t want to hear it! And I am on the other line, so do you really need anything?”
“No, we’re leaving and I was looking for you. Me and Angie are going to take Jackie, Staci and Lucas home and then we will be there. Tyler, Jose, Kim and Kaley just left, so they should be getting there within the hour.”
“Alright, thanks for letting me know! Now can I get back to my conversation with Alex?”
“Woah, you’re talking to A.J.?”
“YES! Now can I get back to him J?”
“Sure, tell him I said hi! I’ll see you when I get home,” Justin says hanging up.
“Justin says hi,” Kaci says when she clicks back over to A.J.
“He always knows how to ruin the mood!”
“Oh I know! I’m surprised that he didn’t flip out on me because I told him I was in the guest house!”
“JESS!” Nick says pounding on her door with Frankie right behind him.
“Baby, can you hold on a second, Nick is so RUDELY interrupting us!” Kaci says, loudly saying rudely, hoping Nick gets the point.
“Oh that kid! Sure baby, just make it quick, he isn’t all that important!” A.J. says as Kaci puts him on speaker phone.
“What do you want?” Kaci says opening the door, still on the phone with A.J.
“Oh, sorry, I didn’t know you were still on the phone with Mr. Lover Boy.”
“Real cute Carter!” A.J. says, not realizing he is on speaker phone and says it quite loudly so that Nick could hear him.
“I can hear you Aje, you’re on speaker,” Nick says laughing.“Well, I just wanted to let you know that me and Frankie are gonna run up to the store to get some stuff real quick.”
“Some stuff? What kinda stuff because Justin has tons of stuff here!” Kaci says taking A.J. off speaker phone.
“Well, for one, he doesn’t have any hypnotic, and two, he doesn’t have any tequila. What kinda Mexican doesn’t have any tequila?” Frankie says.
“Hold on, I’m coming with you guys then! We can re-stash the cabinets in here!”
“What about your man on the phone there?”
“Who says I can’t drive and talk?” Kaci says to Nick.
“Baby, if you’re gonna go out with Nick, then just let me know.”
“Hold on a second Nick, let me grab my stuff,” Kaci says closing the bedroom door so that she can talk to A.J.
“Baby, I’m not going out with Nick except to the store to get some drinks because Frankie wants his hypnotic and tequila! You know us Mexicans gotta have our tequila! If you want, I will call you when we get back.”
“Well, I was going to head to bed when Nick called me, so I will just give you a call another day, since I hear you and Nick have a date tomorrow.”
“It’s not a date baby! He wanted to take me out for my birthday because he was in California then!”
“Oh, he told me it was a date!”
“JESS, hurry up!” Nick yells from the living room.
“No, it’s not a date. He may think it is, but it’s not. The only person I date besides you is Jose.”
“Well, we need to change that too. But I’ll let you go to the store with that pain in the ass and I will call you sometime during the week, while you aren’t with Carter!”
“Alright baby. I love you, sweet dreams!”
“I love you too Jess! And I wish you sweet tiger dreams until I talk to you again!”
