Chapter 12

Eminem swept past two or three shops before he stopped and looked in the front window. He looked at the display in the front window and nearly jumped four feet in the air when a hand touched his arm. He turned and saw it was only Bizarre and along with him, Kuniva.

“Hey man, we got your message, what’d you want to meet us here for?” he asked.

“Yo, I need to find something for Regina, she didn’t want to go meet Dre in her uniform,” he replied looking back at the window.

“Where is your girl Kuniva?” he asked.

“She couldn’t come, what do you mean she didn’t want to go in her uniform?” Kuniva asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Well, she didn’t exactly get home last night,” Em replied opening the door to the store and stepping inside.

“Ah, I see,” Bizarre replied.

“How long you gonna hold on to this bitch?” Kuniva asked looking around the store and wrinkling his nose. This was the last thing he wanted to do today, shop for one of Em’s whores.

“As long as I fucking want to, what’s it to you anyway?” Em snapped turning back to him. Kuniva held up his hands in defense and shook his head.

“Sorry man, didn’t mean nothing by it.”

“What are we looking for anyway?” Bizarre asked.

“Something that she can meet Dre in and look nice in I guess,” Em replied looking at a rack of what he couldn’t tell.

“Can I help you gentlemen?” a saleswoman asked walking towards them.

“Uh yeah, you can. I’m trying to find something for a friend of mine. She’s got something like a job interview this afternoon. She needs something,” Em explained.

“Would you like me to help you pick out something?” she asked.

“Yeah, show me what you got, I don’t got a lot of time.” Em replied agitated.

“No problem sir, give us ten minutes, we’ll have a few choices for you. Would you like to take a seat in the VIP waiting area, no one will bother you,” the saleswoman said pointing to a door to the side of the store.

“Sure thanks,” Kuniva nodded.

“Oh, what size is your friend, and will you be needing undergarments as well?”

“Uh, a four, and yes, everything,” Em replied, catching the glance from Kuniva as he shifted nervously from one foot to the other.

“Very good sir.” She walked away and to the counter, sending six other clerks scurrying around the store. Em, Kuniva and Bizarre went to wait in the lounge while the clerks picked out something. They hadn’t even sat down for five seconds when Kuniva asked,

“You got feelings for the bitch?”

“What, no fucking way,” Em snapped quickly.

“Then why you fucking her twice in two night?” Bizarre asked.

“And buying her clothes to go meet Dre in?” Kuniva added.

“Because I fucking want to! What fucking business is it of yours?” Em retorted jumping up to pace the room.

“Uh oh, he’s getting defensive, looks like someone has a little crush,” Kuniva said laughing.

“If you want to fucking start this, you better be ready to finish it, cause it about five seconds I’m gonna fucking kill you,” Em said angrily, moving close to Kuniva.

“No, he definitely has a crush. You really do like her, don’t you Em?” Bizarre asked.

“I don’t fucking like her! Now just shut the fuck up!” he yelled again.

“Why did you ask us down here anyways?” Bizarre asked.

“I didn’t ask you down here, I asked Kuniva to send his girl. I don’t need your help picking out clothes for a female,” he snapped before throwing himself down on the couch.

“Why are you doing this for her anyway?” Kuniva asked.

“I owe her. She lost her job cause of me. And if Dre signs her, we’ll be even, that’s all,” Em replied massaging his temples with both hands.

“So what? That’s her problem in’t?” Bizarre asked.

“No, it’s not. She told me to stay out, and I just didn’t back down. Sometimes opening my big mouth ain’t the right way to deal with shit,” Em replied still entirely annoyed by the situation.

“Did he just say that?” Kuniva asked.

“I don’t think so, that can’t be our Marshall Mathers sitting here. Not possible,” Bizarre replied.

“Oh my fucking god, the both of you, just shut the fuck up! Besides, you two were also ready to deck that guy for grabbing her like that, what’s your excuse?”

“She was nice to us, I mean, and she didn’t want us to get involved. She didn’t expect us to get involved, that’s why,” Kuniva replied.

“What the fuck has that got to do with anything?” Em replied as the train of store employees marched in.

“Cause, she treated us like normal people. And she didn’t want nothing from us but our orders.” Bizarre replied.

“Which reminds me, she gave me back all the money we left for her, well, everything but ten dollars which she took as a tip.” Eminem replied as the head saleswoman walked towards him.

“We have a few choices here for you, just let us know if you’d like to see anything else.” She walked back out the door, her train following her after they hung the items up on the wall. Em stood to look at them, Bizarre and Kuniva following.

“That’s a good sign then,” Kuniva said as he stood looking at the clothes on Em’s right hand side.

“What’s a good sign?” he asked.

“She didn’t want the money, that’s what,” Bizarre replied. “Oh, yeah, but why would I care?” Em asked looking along the row. Nothing was catching his eye and he really wanted Regina to pop at this meeting with Dre. Not that Dre really gave that much attention to what people wore, but he wanted to show Regina off. And why did he want to show Regina off? He couldn’t explain it. Why the hell would he want to show off a girl, he’d only fucked twice and had only met two days ago, to Dre? He wasn’t sure he knew what was going on in his head.

“If you interested in her, you know that she’s not after your money,” Kuniva replied.

“Who said I was interested in her man? Hey, what do you think of that shirt, think it’d match her eyes?” Em asked stepping up to a Kelly green long sleeve button down shirt.

“I don’t know what fucking color her eyes are Slim, you’ve been the one fucking her and looking deep into her eyes for the past two days, you ought to know,” Kuniva replied.

“Fuck off will you?” he spat back at Kuniva, “Yeah, that shirt, but, let me see, yeah, those jeans.” He went next to a pair of dark blue, skintight jeans. He grabbed both of the items and slung them over his arm. Then he spotted a pair of boots that he knew she’d love and look hot in. They were knee high black leather, four inch heel cat woman style boots. He loved women in tight boots, just the thought of seeing Regina in those boots made him hard.

He pulled himself back together. Next he grabbed a fancy black bra and underwear set that he knew would complement her body and exited the room.

Bizarre and Kuniva just looked at each other and shook their heads. Marshall had lost his head, again. He just wasn’t himself. He never got this loony over anyone, well except Hailie, and that was only because she was his daughter and she had him wrapped around her little finger. This was different. They had never seen him get so hooked up on a chick he’d just met and fucked. Then again she was different. She could rap. But shopping, for a woman, she really had to be something.

They followed him out of the room and found him at the counter paying for the clothes. As he was pulling out his wallet he looked down into the case of jewelry.

“Let me see the earrings there,” he said tapping the counter.

“No problem sir, would that be the hearts, or just the plain hoops?” the saleswoman asked. “The hearts, yeah, those,” he replied as she pulled them out of the case and set them on the counter.

“What do you guys think, think she’ll like them?” he asked holding the earrings up for the other guys to look at.

“Man, I think you’ve gone off the deep end,” Bizarre said laughing.

“You know what, get the fuck out! Just fucking go already! I didn’t ask you to stay did I?” Eminem shouted at Bizarre.

“All right, all right, I’m going, see you there soon, right? With the next Mrs. Mathers?” Bizarre asked with a grin as he held the door open. Em shot him a death glare before he got the hint and they left.

“Would you like to add the earrings on sir?” the saleswoman asked.

“Uh, do you have anything that would go with them, a necklace maybe?” he asked nervously.

“Of course, we have a matching necklace and bracelet, would you like to see them?” she asked.

“Uh, no, no, just add them all on.”
