![]() Regina was sitting in the living room dressed in a robe reading her book she’d stuck in her purse. She was waiting, still, after half an hour. In about five minutes she was going to grab her clothes and go. Then the elevator doors popped open. There he was. “Oh good, you decided to come back. Wait a minute, I thought you said you were going to my apartment?” Regina asked when she saw the bag. “What, you think I was gonna traipse all the way across town and back to get you clothes?” he asked dropping the bag on the couch beside her. “No, I didn’t, I thought that you’d eventually not come back at all, is what I really thought. In another few minutes or so I was gonna just leave.” Regina replied looking into the bag. “It doesn’t matter anyway, just go get dressed, we got to get there,” he said grabbing her arm and pulling her back to the bedroom. “All right, I can get dressed on my own,” she said prying his hand off her arm. “Then here,” he said handing her the bag, “and don’t take forever.” “Quite the charmer, aren’t we?” she snorted before closing the door. Five minutes later she stepped out of the bedroom and asked, “So where is it exactly that we’re going to that I have to be dressed like this?” Em stood and starred at her, framed in the doorway. She looked incredible, the boots did it for him. He walked over and ran his hands along her hips and said, “You look fucking hot.” “Well thank you, but you still haven’t answered my question,” she asked, now with the height of the heels she was able to look him directly in the eye. “You’ll find out when we get there, but come on before I can’t resist the urge to just throw you down on the bed and fuck you senseless again,” he growled into her ear. She felt her entire body shiver. He placed a kiss on her cheek before grabbing her hand in his and pulling her towards the door. He’d taken her hand, not her wrist this time. It felt nice. They got in the elevator and he was still holding her hand. “Are you going to let go?” she asked looking over at him. “Huh, oh, sorry,” he replied suddenly releasing her hand. She laughed to herself in her head. Twenty minutes later they pulled up front of the studio they’d been at yesterday. “What’s this, we were here yesterday,” Regina said hopping out of the car. “Yeah, that’s not the surprise, I have someone I want you to meet,” he replied coming around the other side and taking her hand in his again. They went up the same way as yesterday, to the same studio room and went inside. “All right, what, you still got some writer’s block or something? Cause we could have done this another time, I got to go find a job,” Regina said looking around. The usual guys were all there, Ace and Swifty smiled and gave her a wave and she nodded at them. “No, he wanted you to meet me,” a deep voice said from behind her. “Hey, Dre, what up?” Em asked turning around and taking the man’s hand to shake it. “This is who you wanted me to meet?” Regina asked, the blood draining from her face. “Yeah, Dre, this is Regina, Regina, this is Dre,” Eminem said quickly releasing her hand and pushing her forward slightly. “Uh hi,” Regina said shaking his hand after he put his out for her. “The guys dropped me off your sample that you did yesterday. I really liked it.” “Uh thanks. I didn’t know they were doing that,” Regina replied nervously. “Well they did, and I’d like to hear some more, if you don’t mind that is,” Dre said smiling. “You, you want to hear more? Of me?” Regina asked. “Yeah, you did incredible yesterday. I have a few beats that I think you’d do really well with, you want to hear them?” he asked. “Uh, sure, just hang on a second, I need to speak to him, in the hall for just a second,” Regina said looking over at Em. “What me?” he asked with an innocent grin. “Yes, you, in the hall now,” Regina said with clenched teeth. “But don’t you have to,” he said with a smile when she grabbed the front of his shirt and dragged him into the hall. “What was that all about?” he asked as the door shut behind them. “What the hell are you doing sending my stuff to him?” she hissed, finally letting go of his shirt. “What does it matter, he liked it?” “I can’t rap! That’s what matters!” she nearly shrieked. “Yes you can, stop pretending that you don’t know how to.” “That’s just it! I never did that before yesterday! The only reason that came out was because I was pissed at you!” “Good, then use that! You’re usually pissed at me anyway! You’ll do fine.” He laughed. “This is not funny! You bring me up here, again, in front of friggen rap royalty none the less, and expect me to just spit out another friggen chorus or something!” “Why not, you did it yesterday?” “It was a fluke! Why don’t you understand that!” she shouted turning in a circle. “Just get your ass in there and do it.” He said laughing and opening the door. “I am going to kick your sorry ass, I swear to god.” She growled following him inside. “Everything all right?” Dre asked. “Oh, yeah, fine, just fine, yeah those beats you wanted me to listen to?”
