**Second Chances**

" Nothing. Why?" " Because I want to have alittle get together tonight with everyone. Would you like to come? Better yet want to help me?" " Sure what do you want me to do?" Tiff asked. " I will go get the food and you call everyone." "Okay I can do that. What time do you want everyone there?" " How about seven." " Cool, I will. Don't forget to leave a note to Josh." " I won't bye." both girls hung up and she left a note.

Meanwhile Tiffani was going through her address book look for phone numbers. " Babe, who called or who did you call?" " Ohh I called Jackie. Josh is home and she wants to have alittle get together and wants me to call everyone. " " Okay, while you do that I'm going to take the dogs out for a walk." AJ said. " Babe, do you think Howie will come?" " I don't know he might." " Can you ask him for me?" " Okay I will." and kissed Tiffani good bye.

Meanwhile at home in his den, Howie was trying to work on the Foundation with his sister Angie. He was looking for something to write with, when he moved some papers he came upon a picture everyone took while they were out. " So do we have everything set up for the benefit concert?" " Yeah we do. We just need to find one more act." While Angie was talking to him a tear came into his eye when he saw the picture. It was of them in Colorado during the snow season and Brian had taken their picture. She looked so happy and they both knew that they were meant to be. Angie was trying to get his attention and knew something was wrong. " Howie are you okay? Howie? Howie?" " Yeah I am sorry. What were you saying?" "Nothing, I'm going to let you go.Call me soon okay?" " Alright." they both hung up. Howie turned around in his chair and faced the window. His mind started to wander. " What is wrong with me? I can't concentrate on anything. I need to talk to her but how? Maybe tonight I will call her. No, I should call her now." he said and started to dial he number. The first try he got her voice mail and after a few minutes he called again and got Jackie. " Hello?Anyone there? I guess not." After she hung up, Howie then tries to redial her number and gets her voicemail, at the same time his bell rings and he runs to get it. " AJ, hold on a second." he said and walked back into the house. " Who are you on the phone with? If its Jackie she's not home." AJ said and closes the door. " Really?" Howie hangs up. " Yeah she's running errands. Josh is home and she wanted to have alittle get together. That's why I am here." " Ohh really." he said alittle disappointed. " Yeah, that's why I am here. Are you up to it?" he asked. " I guess. What time?" " How about seven at Jackie's?" " I will come by for a bit. Thanks J."

Jackie arrived at home with grocery bags in hand and closed her door. " Honey, Im home." she yelled as she put the ice cream away. " I'm in the bedroom, come in here." Josh said. Jackie walked into the bedroom and sat next to her husband and smiled. " Did you have a nice nap?" she asked and played with his hair. " Of course I did. But it would be nice if you were next to me." " Well I'm here now." she said and smiled. " Remember how I said I wanted to make it up to you?" he asked and took her hand. " Yeah. Why what's wrong now?" she asked. " We do have time to ourselves until everyone gets here." Josh leaned forwards and kissed him wife. While kissing his wife, he slowly laid her on the bed, started to unbotton her shirt and kissed her harder. Jackie then took her hands and placed them on his back and pulled him towards her. For the first time since their honeymoon, Josh and Jackie had reconncted as husband and wife. Jackie had forgotten what it felt to be in someone's arms while making love, but she closed her eyes for one second and saw Howie's face. She shook her head and focused on her husband. About two hours later, Jackie had woken up to the door bell ringing, she put her robe on and went downstairs, when she had gotten up Josh was in the shower. She had gotten to the door and found, Nick, Brian and Leighanne waiting. " Hey guys, you are early." she said. " Were we interrupting?" Leighanne asked. " No you guys weren't come in." " We figured since you were probably busy we would come by and help. Where's Josh?" Brian asked. " In the shower." Calling from upstairs as he was coming down, Josh heard some voices. " Who is here honey?" he asked. " It's Leighanne, Brian and Nick." she answered back. Josh comes from upstairs while buttoning his shirt and shook hands with Nick and Brian. " Hey Josh. How is your movie going?" Brian asked. " Hi guys. It coming along. I fly out at the end of the week." " That's good." Nick said.

Meanwhile in the kitchen Leighanne knew she had to talk to Jackie about Howie. Leighanne looked into Jackie's eyes and knew she was confused. " Jackie we need to talk." she said. " Okay what's up?" Jackie asked. " We need to talk about Howie." " What's wrong with him?" Jackie asked. " He might not come over tonight."

As Nick and Brian talked to Josh, Nick got a funny feeling about Josh and it grew stronger and stronger every time he saw him. " I hate leaving her behind." " Yeah you do have a wonderful person. You better not take her for granted." Nick said. " What are you talking about? Why would I take her for granted?" he asked Nick. " Ohh you know, you being away for so long." Nick looked at him then looked away.Josh came up to him and asked him again. " What do you mean Nick?" "All I am saying is that, you may never know, there can be someone out there waiting for you." " Like who? I am crazy about my wife." Josh said. " Okay guys cut it out. The girls are in another room and they can hear you." Brian said. " I wanna know. What do you know that I don't." Josh asked quietly. " I don't know anything. All I am saying is that she is very special to all of us and we dont' want to see her hurt." " Of course she won't. She means the world to me." " Okay,I believe you but if you hurt her." " I won't. I promise." Later that evening everyone had started to show up.

Nick had gotten a funny feeling about Josh whenver he checked his pager. He knew that Josh was up to something, but didn't know how to prove it. Nick walked Josh very carefully and noticed he was acting weird, Josh would be checkig his pager every 10 minutes and whenver the phone rang he would get it. AJ had noticed the attitude change in Nick. " Nick in the kitchen..NOW!" AJ said. " I'm coming." Nick said and followed AJ into the kitchen. " Leigh, Tiff can we have the kitchen?" " Sure." they said and left. Nick walked in with an anger look on his face. " Okay, what the hell was that?" AJ asked. " There is something about him I don't like.I don't want to see her hurt." " Neither of us do. But you just can't giving people dirty looks." " Okay but if he hurts her..." " We know what to do. Have you heard from, D?" AJ asked Nick. " Nope. Have you?" " No he hasn't called. I know he said that he would come over before we left."

About an hour later, Josh's pager was going off, while he was talking to Jackie and Brian. " Who is it?" she asked. " I don't know. I'm going to call it, I'll be back." he said and went into the bedroom. He dialed the number, while AJ was walking down the hall. He had heard Josh saying I love you to someone else and heard something that was going to kill Jackie. " Why are you paging me? I told you that I am happily married." " But you told me you loved me. Why are you still with her?" " Because I havent gotten the chance to tell her. I promise will tell her. I love you." he said and hung up. AJ left the hallway really quick and ran downstairs. While walking down stairs the door bell rang and he looked at Nick. He gave Nick a look of his was right. He went to answer the door and found Howie. Howie looked at him and knew something was wrong. " What's wrong J? It looked like you seen a ghost." " Umm, nothing. Actually I heard something and its going to break Jackie's heart." " Really? What did you hear?" Howie asked. " Josh has a girlfriend on the side and she doesn't know about it." AJ said. " Ohh really. How is she going to find out." he said and looked at Josh with annoyance in his eyes. " We were thinking maybe you can tell her." " I don't think I should." " I guess she's going to have to find out by herself."

Later that night Jackie had answered the phone and Sara was on the other line. After getting off the phone, Jackie looked at Josh and talked to him. " Who is Sara?" she asked. " I don't know." " Then why is she calling here?" " I don't know who she is." " You're lying. Who the hell is she?" " She's no one. Honey I swear." As they were talking Jackie had raised her voice and everyone was watching. " I'm going for a drive." she said and stormed out the house. Jackie had left everyone behind and they knew he got caught. " Aren't you going after her?" Nick asked Josh. " No, she needs her time." " I hope she's okay." Howie said. " Why don't you see if she's okay." " No, she needs her time." he said and walked away.

Howie had went to the beach and started to think about Jackie. Her face when she found out about Josh cheating on her, he could tell there was anger and regret. Anger because she married someone who cheated on her and regret for treating him that way. Jackie had found her self on the beach and sat there for awhile and remember all the good times she had with Howie and how it was wrong for her treat him that way. She had found herself sitting in her car for an hour and went back home.
