The story begins with a season 7 Buffy mysteriously awakening in the body of a young witch who seemingly attempted suicide, during the Marauders era. melianightsilver (12/24/2007 10:54:49 AM): cool melianightsilver (12/24/2007 10:54:58 AM): so a young Severus then krees_tee_nah (12/24/2007 10:58:24 AM): I so hope it will be. And yeah, young Sev. Woo! Hoo! As we know, Buffy's not a witch, but she's inhabiting the body of a witch, so she has some limited powers, with no knowledge of how to use them. She's also waking up blind. The girl who's body she's in wasn't blind when she left it, but for some reason (that the reader won't know) Buffy can't see. Besides the obvious help with school work, I mean. krees_tee_nah (12/24/2007 11:05:11 AM): I just hope I can pull it off. I need to figure out a way to justify Buffy still having the slayer with her spirit, even though she's not in her body. I don't intend to make her season 7 Buffy, meaning with the skills and powers she had then, as I want her to have to make this new body learn the muscle memory, etc. So slayer wise, I'm thinking she's maybe season 2 level when she wakes up. But of course, she can't see, so she'll have a lot to over come. The body she's in belonged to Elizabeth Anne Summers, a wealthy, orphaned, American witch/ Gryffindor who was a bit over weight, but still well liked in her house. Part of the story will be devoted to figuring out why this girl might want to die. krees_tee_nah (12/24/2007 11:05:44 AM): Remus will become her Xander. krees_tee_nah (12/24/2007 11:05:52 AM): But with Remus' personality B: You’ll have to come up with a pet name for me. Severus blanched. “Pardon?” B: Oh come on, honey. All the cool kids are doing it. Severus looked as if he were suppressing a shudder. “Sweet?” B: Yawn. S: Buttercup? B: Too…buttery. S: Rosmarinis? B: Rosemary Knees? Uh…no. Severus smirked. “Rosemary flourishes in the heat.” B: Don’t. Even. S: And your surname is— B: Now you’re getting (wrinkled her nose) gimmicky. S: Day Lily? Irked, Buffy replied, “You call me anything in the alphabetical vicinity of ‘lily’, let alone a flower in the lily family, and you may have to forfeit some limbs.” S: As you wish, sunflower. B: OK, better. But still…Way too Gryffindor. Sure you went to the right house? Maybe you misheard the hat? S: Belladonna? B: (laughed) Isn’t that a poison? S: Only…in large doses. B: Hmmm. Right direction, but it lacks. S: A variation on a theme, then? B: ‘Splainy? Severus leaned back in his chair, and replied silkily, “If your Gryffindor lover would call you ‘sunflower’…” Buffy leaned closer, “Yeah?” “Then perhaps his Slytherin twin would call you…” Buffy took a deep breath, anticipating his next words. “Sin Flower.” so_very_sita (1/1/2008 9:17:34 PM): *grins* I'm hoping to tie it into the mystery. After Elizabeth (the girl who's body Buffy's soul inhabits) survives the attack, she's going to start receiving threatening letters addressed to S. Not that Sev will be a main red herring, but maybe it will give a few readers pause. melianightsilver (1/1/2008 9:19:05 PM): I'm sure it will so_very_sita (1/1/2008 9:22:01 PM): I've decided against making Buffy's blindness long lasting. Instead, E's body will be found with her mouth sewn shut, her eyes removed and sewn shut, and several markings cut into her skin. The eyes will grow back, like Harry's bones, but it will take a week or so because they are such delicate organs. In that time, I'll be able to do what I wanted between her and Sev, and her and another red herring, a Slytherin boy / death eather wanna be. melianightsilver (1/1/2008 9:22:32 PM): sweet melianightsilver (1/1/2008 9:22:40 PM): and kinda eww at the same time so_very_sita (1/1/2008 9:23:18 PM): Yeah, big ew, but I wanted there to be a parallel with the Bringers and what the First did to Spike when it tortured him melianightsilver (1/1/2008 9:24:34 PM): oh, creepy melianightsilver (1/1/2008 9:24:37 PM): I like so_very_sita (1/1/2008 9:25:58 PM): I'm so glad you think so.
