It's A God Thing

Effective ministry is impossible without men and women of God who are willing to commit their time and talents to the work of the LORD.

Alex Haley, the late author of Roots, had a unique picture in his office. Framed on his wall was a shot of a turtle sitting on top of a fence post. Haley prized the picture because it was a constant reminder of a lesson he had learned long ago: "If you see a turtle on a fence post, you know he had some help. Any time I start thinking, 'Wow, isn't this marvelous what I've done!' I look at that picture and remember how this turtle, me, got up on that post." If you're sitting on a fence post enjoying the view, remember, you had help!


Food Pantry

God bless you ladies and gents for your tireless efforts and your tremendous burden to feed and clothe the less fortunate.

Sister Sandy and her wonderful team feed and clothe 80 to 100 families each month. This is a back breaking job, especially when the trucks come in with the food and it has to be loaded and then unloaded again, and that's just the beginning. There is never an end to this work because there is always someone in need of food, clothing, diapers, etc. Only in heaven will we ever know how many lives were changed by the love and dedication of these awesome saints!


Meals On Wheels

Keep the wheels on those meals a rollin' ladies (& gents...)!

Our Meals on Wheels outreach currently feeds approximately 120 elderly and less fortunate people every Wednesday. Through this ministry so many lives are touched. In addition to the bodily nourishment these hot meals provide, we are often privileged to pray with these precious ones and lend comfort and much sought after company. Sometimes it helps just to lend an ear and let them talk about the goodness of the Lord. These beautiful people are so grateful that someone cares enough to take the time to provide these hot meals. In some cases it may be the only hot meal they have during the week. Most importantly, souls have been led to the Lord, one just a week before departing this life. God is so gracious in providing for the needs of our Meals on Wheels ministry. We praise Him for the means and the opportunity to be the arms and hands of Jesus extended in Man and the surrounding areas. May He continue to enlarge our borders.
