she absorbs life
through her feet.

walking barefoot
through the snow
through stones
throguh sand
through the rain.

she walks in
solemn joy.
the breath of
othersgone
blowing through her hair
her clothes
feeling the sight
of her face.

she walks by herself
but never alone.

absorbing life
through her feet.

she feels the texture
and the images
that slowly float to her,
pale as glass.

she clings to the thought
that it is not the
ultimate experience
to be
an exotic adventurer
but to
be
walking barefoot.
being.

she passes the thought
through her fingers
and tastes the feel.

she is living.

walking barefoot
absorbing life through
her feet.

fly with me

i am going on a journey.
one where i don't know where i'm going.
i'll know it when i get there.

i'm going to find my home.
i'll fly there on wings of silver,
gliding over mountains, people's thought and dreams.
through delicious nights, and watercolor sunsets.

there are many things i'll have to let go of
to get off the ground.
everything, in fact.
beliefs weigh you down
more than lead.
i will throw out my beliefs
and take flight.

you have these wings too.
they may be folded up,
they may be dusty,
they may be out-of-practice,
they may be hidden,
but they're there all the same.

gather up your strangth
and use the special gift.
cast away your beliefs
and fly with me.
