Five
~'~1 Week Later~'~
I was at the airport and my flight was just called.
Only Nick was here with me. After what AJ had said I barely even saw him.
We never officially broke up because neither of us said the words.
"Well I guess I should be going," I said.
"I'll miss you," Nick said as he pulled me in for a
hug.
"I'll miss you too." I said returning his hug.
I picked up my bags and walked towards the gate. With
one final wave I walked onto the plane not looking back once.
~'~Present~'~
That was the last time I ever saw Nick. He called me
almost every day while I was in New York. Now I was in Orlando with a new
home, new life, a new baby, and a new boyfriend. Just being on the streets
that AJ and I had walked on just 2 years ago rekindled those memories.
"You okay?" my boyfriend Trey asked me.
"Yeah. Do you want some food sweetie?" I asked my daughter
Gabby.
"Uh-huh. I want burger n' fries."
"There's a McDonald's over there. Does that sound good
to you?"
"Yay!" she shouted. "McDonoes!"
We stepped inside the cool building and headed for
the ordering counter.
"How may I help you?" the girl asked
"Yeah. I'd like one Happy Meal and 2 number 2 extra
value meals."
"Is that all for you?"
"Yes."
"Your total is $8.23"
I fished in my purse for a ten but all I could find
was a five.
I turned around and opened my mouth to speak but the
person behind me spoke first.
"Sammy?"
