Chapter 4
She leaned over him seductively, kissing his mouth before licking her way
upto his ear. "Jeff, I have to go back to my room." He sighed,
disappointed, pouting when she got up from the bed and moved to the door.
"Why didn't you and me share? Why did you share with Adam and me with
Matt?" He asked in childish voice, deliberately forgetting the agreement
the four of them had made.
"Because we agreed. I'd stay with Adam and you with Matt coz Krissy's going
home. That way no-one would be on their own." He grinned at her, chuckling
slightly as she pouted, realising he knew why they were parting. She walked back
over to the bed and kissed him one last time, mouthing goodbye when she opened
the door, smiling before she closed it. He hadn't mouthed it back. She knew he'd
be okay tonight.
As the door closed behind Kaci Copeland's back, Jeff Hardy softly said goodbye
to her, his words so soft, he didn't hear them himself.
~*~
"So tomorrow I'll have..." Kaci stopped talking as her body froze.
Her eyes staring ahead, not even blinking. Adam Copeland filled with fear.
He'd seen this happen before, and he knew what it meant. He sat infront of his
sister, clicking his fingers and slapping her face, freezing himself when her
skin was cold, checking for a pulse part of him died when he found nothing.
She was floating above the tainted grass, blood pouring down around her, her
soul being pulled in two different directions. The power of the pure pulled at
her, desperation tainting her guidance. The pain of the darkness pulled her
across the grass, her moving slow as she resisted, as she was being pulled the
other way. The pulling stopped and something snapped, she felt herself moving
faster then before, then being pulled to a stop. The pure power had lost, pain
had brought her to where she was. Darkness surrounded her, a small pinpoint of
blood red light moving towards her at a speed not known to man. Suddenly, she
could see. The image was clear, what she saw sent pain coursing through her
soul, forever tainting her very being. His blood was causing him pain, thrusting
himself into the blue haired beauty ferociously. She closed her eyes, unwilling
to see her love destroyed by someone he held so dear in his heart. Her eyes were
forced open to see pain, pain so immense that she could feel it in this reality.
She lowered her head as his blood reached his peak, moving from the blue haired
beauty towards a bag. She closed her eyes once again as he brought out the
knife, The smell of death making her gag, she ignored it as her soul began to
fall apart.
~*~
Adam held her body, jerking without life, moving without heart, screaming
without breath. Her eyes wide open were filled with pain, her body jerking like
someone was cutting every limb. But her heart didn't beat and her lungs didn't
move. Fear consumed him as he tried to hold her still, what ever she was
experiencing having more strength then he. Blood poured out of her mouth and he
screamed.
~*~
Her eyes were once again forced open and she cried with anguish at what she
saw. He grinned as he brought the knife across the blue haired beauty's chest.
Taking pleasure in peeling the skin from his bones, licking up the blood as it
splattered his face. She felt tears pour down her face as the blue haired
beauty's eyes closed for the last time, pain marring his features as he took his
last breath. She knew that look would haunt for the rest of her days to come.
She turned from the image, only to find another behind her. The pain of darkness
not wanting her to miss a thing, punishing her for taking the Golden Beauty from
them at the last minute. Punishing her with something that was destined to
happen whether she had saved the Golden beauty or not. Making her watch what he
did with her loves body after his soul had left it. She knife shined in the
darkness, drawing her attention as he laid it down. She felt relief flood her
for a moment, relief that his body would be left in peace. He grinned at the
lifeless carrier in front of him, then smashed the rib cage with his hands
before picking up the knife once again.
~*~
Adam watched with terror as her body jerked again, more blood then any human
could possibly posses leaving her mouth. He held her tight again, gasping in
fear when he touched her ribs, screaming in horror when he found every one
broken.
~*~
He took out each of the lifeless organs one by one, taking a bite of each
before leaving them beside the body. She turned her eyes away, her soul not
being able to watch any longer, her very being refusing to be controlled. She
began to move again, her speed increasing until she was brought to a gentle
stop. The pure power washing through her, her guidance tainted with more sadness
then any living being could comprehend. An image appeared in front of her, fear
and pain consuming her as it sharpened. The golden beauty was shaking with
unbelievable pain and anguish, shaking as he looked at her lifeless body, crying
as he looked away. She felt tears fall down her face, and turned away, dark
knowing filling her strongly. Her soul now condemned to the unknown reality. As
the blood pouring around her stopped, the dark knowing was pushed away and an
image appeared in front of her. A power more powerful then any in the unknown
reality surrounded her, giving her strength like never before. As she obeyed the
higher power, the pain showed her one last image. As the blue haired beauty's
killer looked at her... she screamed.
Kaci Copeland was brought back to herself with a thud. She gasped for
breath, running her hands over her body, finding it was all complete. She got up
from the bed and ran to the door, a feeling of dread filling her. She had to
find Jeff, she had to warn him.
"Kaci?!?" She turned at the voice, tainted with shock, sadness and
disbelief. "But... but your body was dead!" she looked at her brother,
realisation sinking in. Her soul has left her body, witnessing something as it
happened. She'd been punished, she'd nearly been condemned... which meant Jeff
had been raped and killed by his own brother. The very essence of her soul
filled with pain, unbearable pain that filled her body and broke her heart.
"Jeff's dead. My body... I left it, my soul was pulled from me. My body
experienced Jeff's pain as my soul experienced it. A higher power brought me
back," she thought for a moment. "For a reason, because I have a power
no other human on the planet possesses, because I have the burden." Adam
looked at her, his eyes wide with shock. His head spinning.
"Jeff's dead? You died? Who killed him?" Kaci opened her mouth the
speak, fear consuming her before she could get a word out. He had seen her, the
dark pain had shown her that before she left the reality. Not as a warning, but
to tell her, to let her know she was going to die. She put her hand on the door,
knowing what she had to do.
"Adam, I have to leave. I don't know when I'll be back. He knows I know, he
saw me. He's gonna come after me. Be careful." She grabbed her bag with her
bank cards and a few clothes in and opened the door, leaving before he could say
anything, walking briskly down the hotel hallway. As she pressed the button for
the elevator, she heard him shout. Turned to her right slightly, she looked up
the hallway, running for the stairs as Matt Hardy ran at her. Leaving the hotel
she jumped in a cab quickly, jumping as Matt banged the window, blood still
slightly on his hands. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and prepared
herself for the beginning of the end.
