Title: The Pain - sequel to The Power.
Author:
Carley.
Rating:
R, Blood, gore, general yuckiness.
D&D:
Kaci Copeland is a very loud, immensely annoying figment of my imagination. Unfortunately, I own her. Krissy belongs to herself, I just borrowed her. All other entities within this fictitious story belong to themselves and WWFE. No infringement intended. Simple Philosophy; Want. Take. Have. Just let me know where and Credit me, please.
Notes: Don't ask me where this came from, I don't know... it's kinda strange... and sucks. Sorry.

(She was walking across the grass slowly, before she was suddenly moving on air, a power greater then the human mind can comprehend guiding her. She was gently pulled to a stop in front of a blinding white light and she shielded her eyes, waiting for the light to dim. As it did, she saw an image, coated with blood and smelling like death. Fear consumed her, she watched numb with fear as the image sharpened and a familiar figure appeared. Medium blue hair lying softly on a white pillow, a content smile on his face. The very essence of her soul became contorted with pain as the image went on, her mind numbing fear and terror overwhelming her. Another appeared, running his hand through the blue hair, before violently jerking the head up. His teeth shined in the darkness as he brought a silver object to the blue haired beauty's face. The image wavered and she closed her eyes, sorrow and sadness racking her body, she became surrounded with a sea of blood as the image disappeared, and with her last breath.... she screamed.)

"JEFF!" Bolting up in bed.... Kaci Copeland screamed. The pain in the pit of her stomach aching, reminding her strongly of the images she'd just been shown. She turned slowly and looked at the sleeping form beside her, softly stroking his face as he slept peacefully. She leaned down, placing her lips on his, kissing him softly, she froze.

She was moving across the tinted grass at a speed no man, nor living being could comprehend. The power guiding her rushing, letting her know this was late, letting her know she should have been warned before now. She was brought to an abrupt stop, and for the first time, felt slight pain in the unknown reality. The light flashed, quickly fading into another image. The soft blue hair was roused, his mouth turned upwards in a loving smile. He mouthed goodbye and the image sharpened, showing her, herself leaving the room. His face lightened up as the door opened again, someone he loves and trusts entering. The image wavered and she could smell blood, squinting she moved forward slightly, jumping back when she saw him, tied to the bed, his insides not where they should be. Pain washed through her system, terror marring her features. Then slowly, the image faded, being replaced with another. She watched in shock as she saw herself, fear evident on her face as she crouched into a corner, hiding from the unknown. She closed her eyes, gagging on the smell of death. When she opened her eyes, the light disappeared and she was surrounded with darkness, her breathing becoming hard. As she began to move across the grass, drops of blood fell around her, when she reached the pinpoint of light, the dark eyes gazed at her, closing her eyes... she screamed.

Coming back to herself forcefully, Kaci could feel her body shaking violently. Once again she was being warned of danger. Danger towards her loved ones and danger towards... herself. The images were more... desperate this time, like the power was late in arriving. Bringing more pain with it then ever. Finally gaining control over her body, Kaci opened her now closed eyes, jumping back slightly when she found Jeff looking at her.

"What happened? Why are you shaking so much? Why are you so pale? Kaci, what's wrong?" The questions came in a rush, concern written clearly on his face. Kaci leaned up and softly ran her fingers down his cheek bone, reassuring herself he was okay.  Finally, she answered.

"Nothing, I... I just had a bad dream is all." Her voice was so soft he barely heard her. Reaching down, he raised her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes, his sceptic eyes. Disbelief sparkled, and softly, he asked her, looking into her eyes for the honesty, deep in his heart, he knew wouldn't be there.

"Just a dream? A dream wouldn't make you this shaky, Kaci. Did you see something?" She lowered her eyes, and that's when he knew. She wasn't able to lie to him, her honesty always showed in her eyes.

"Yes." She whispered the word, her voice conveying the pain rushing through her veins. He held her tight, gently pushing for her to say more.

"What happened, baby? What's causing your pain?" She looked at him in shock. Surprised that the pain rushing her body was evident to him. Ever so softly, she whispered one word.

"You." His eyes widened in shock, his body reeling back slightly, like he had been slapped.

"I'm causing you pain?" She shook her head quickly. Wrapping her own arms around his waist in reassurance.

"Not you. I saw you. What I saw caused me pain." He looked into her eyes, what he saw sent pain to his core. Realisation sunk in and he stated quietly, a fact he knew to be true.

"I'm going to die." She closed her eyes, unable to contradict his words.
