chapter 22

Shannon had stayed with Leah until he was sure she was fast a sleep again. He closed the door and headed back into the living room where he looked around, all was silent. He felt a shiver go up his spine. He knew that his mom and gran didn’t want him home for Christmas. They had disowned when he had told them he was going to wrestle. He wanted to be in the WWF like Jeff, Matt and now Shane. But he had been left behind. He was still in HWA and he knew that he would never make it. His mom had forced that it to him.

Shannon always felt his heart rip in two, as he would watch the three of them and Amy drive of to go on the road doing what they loved. He never told anyone how he felt. How could he? They where living their dream, how could he spoil that? He couldn’t.

Shannon wanted to ask Jeff and Gil if he could stay with them for Christmas, as he didn’t want to spend it alone in his big lonely house. Shane was going to be with his family. Matt would be with Amy at Matt’s house. Jeff, Leah and Gil would be spending Christmas together and he would be alone. All alone.

He looked around and sighed. What should he do? Spend a lonely Christmas by himself or ask his best friend a huge favour. He pondered on it a second and decided on the later.

Leah slowly opened her eyes and looked around her. The light from the window was beginning to dim and she decided she had better get up. Slowly she moved her legs from the bed so he feet where now on the floor. She painfully reached down and picked up her trouser. She slid them on and stood up and fastened them. Slowly she moved towards the door and opened it. She stepped out onto the soft carpet of the hall and slowly made her way to the living room where Gil, Matt, Amy, Shannon, Shane and Jeff sat. When Jeff saw her he got up and went to her, Leah had to smile at how sweet he was. He helped her walk to one sofa and sit down.

“Are you feeling any better dear?” Gil asked as he moved to sit on the free side of her, as Jeff occupied the other spot.

“I think so. I’m not tired anymore.  But everything still hurts.” Gil didn’t reply he just gave the young red head a lose hug, making sure she didn’t hurt her. Jeff smiled as he watched his dad and Leah.

“Do you what anything to eat or drink>” Matt asked her. She looked over at him and smiled.

“Could I have some coffee?”

“Sure no problem. White? Sugar?”

“Black no sugar.” She said with a smile.

“I like people who are easy to make a drink for. You should see how Jeff had his!” he said as he got up and ruffled Jeff’s hair. After Jeff had readjusted his bandana he lent over to Leah and rested his head on her shoulder. Leah wrapped an arm around his shoulder and placed a soft kiss on his hair. Jeff slowly closed his eyes and breathed in Leah’s soft scent. He loved the soft smell of roses on her skin. He placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and snuggled closer to her. Leah turned in her seat so Jeff’s head was now lying on her chest. He tightened his hold on her, never wanting to lose the feelings that went through his body when he touched her. Leah held him to her leaned back so her side was resting on the back of the sofa. Suddenly she didn’t feel shy around these people. She felt as if she belonged there. Belonged with people who actually cared about her and would never hurt her. She felt she belong with Jeff. Actually she knew she belonged with Jeff.
