Chapter 10

Jeff moved in his seat as Christian talked. At first it was about wrestling,
then it became a manly talk with them talking about weights and further
wrestling now it was about the main women in their lives, and neither were
completely happy.

"But you got Leah, right?" Christian asked and Jeff came back to reality.

"Kind of." He said. "This is a bit of a touchy subject."

"Why? You always talked about her."

"Last night she come up to me and tells me that we need to have a not so
good serious talk. That scared the crap out of me before she even said what
was wrong. My heart was racing so fast man. I swear god could hear it up
there!" Jeff said thumping his hand against his chest to show how fast his
heart was 'beating'.

"But you said kind of. Did she dump you or what?"

"Kind of. I don't know what she meant so I am just saying kind of. That way
I am not completely wrong."

"Or right."

"That too. But it is better than getting my arse kicked by her when I
shouldn't be." Jeff said laughing. "And the way I am going, at least three
girls want to kick my arse and that ain't good."

"It isn't good but it could be fun." Christian said slyly. "I mean, Amy,
Chloe and Leah aren't ugly at all and if they are chasing me, I mean you,
that could be fun."

"Yeah but if I slow down, I would be coming back with cuts, and not the good
cuts." Jeff said laughing harder.

"What are you guys talking about?" Saga asked sitting down.

"Girls." Jeff said smartly too her.

"That must be interesting. Now are we talking the this girl is hot and this
one's not or are we talking, I heard this girl got her period today."

Both guys looked at each other disgusted.

"That was feral!" Jeff said and Saga laughed.
"Jeff, Leah is trying to find you and Christian, so is Steph." Saga said
laughing even harder.

"Tell them to come out here."

"Ya see, I would, but that would mean I would have to get up and if I get
up, I will make you guys pay, and since I have my-."

"WE ARE GOING!" The guys said standing up and leaving.

---

Chloe lay there, her hand on her forehead, as she gazed at the ceiling. She
never before had been so bored. All those times in high school, waiting for
a teacher to notice her hand up before you underwent her work weren't even
this boring. What was happening to her? Had her life deteriorated to staring
at the roof of an arena's change room? All she could hear were kissing
noises coming from Amy and Matt, and the everlasting buzz from the fridge.
She couldn't sustain it. How had her life got like this over the period of
four hours?

Chloe sat up, hearing someone's footsteps from outside the room. He
anticipation grew at each footstep then took its final leap as she heard a
knock on the door. Matt went to answer the door since it was his room but
Chloe bet him. She opened the door then shut it straight away, not liking
who she saw.

"Matt, answer the door, you know you want too." She said slyly.

Matt huffed and headed over to the door. "Hi bro, come in." He said letting
Jeff into the room. "Don't worry Chloe, it's only Jeff."

"You didn't have to let him in Matt!" Chloe said annoyed.

"I'm right here." Jeff said pointing to himself. "I can hear it all."

"I know." Chloe said going back to her position on the floor.

"She is really bored isn't she?"

"More than even you can imagine." Amy said smiling as Matt headed over to
her again.

"I don't blame her if you two are making out, leaving her alone."

"She can go somewhere if she wants." Amy said kissing Matt again.

"Anyway, I came to see you Chloe." He said looking away from the two lovers.

"Back off." She said pushing him over but he held himself up by his hands
behind him as he crouched down beside her. "I don't need to see you or hear
you." She said annoyed.

"Come on. I thought we forgot that."

Chloe's eyes grew wide. "Forget what shit I have gotten in over you? Because
we talked? Get lost!" She said angrily.

"But it wasn't a bad talk. I thought we sort of understood each other."

"You will never understand me Jeff." She said harshly. She knew she couldn't
look at him. Even his new colour of hair was too much to handle for her.

"I need your help." He said truthfully.

"I gave you help before, that is the best I can do." She said turning over
on the hard floor and her hip bones hurt against the carpet. She wished
Molly didn't land her on her hips.

"Fine." Jeff said standing up, not bothering with her. "You can sit here
bored if you really want, listening to Matt and Amy making out and Amy's
little giggles as Matt kisses her neck, your choice. I just thought that
maybe you wanted to crush your boredom."

"Fine!" Chloe said sitting up, unable to resist his offer. "What do you want
help with?"

"I can't tell you here. Can we go for a walk?" He asked and Chloe nodded.

She took Jeff's hand as he offered it to help her up. As he headed over to
the door to let them both out, he still had a firm grasp on Chloe's hand but
neither of them really noticed. They had become closer since their little
talk and as much as Chloe wanted to fight it, she was glad.

Matt looked at Chloe and Jeff as they walked out of the room, holding hands
and Amy looked as shocked as Matt. "Did they just walk out of this room
holding hands? And since when does Chloe help Jeff? And since when does he
want help from her?" He asked worried then looked at the red head that he
still had his arms around.

"Matt, I think we have missed out on a lot."

"Wanna find out what is going on?"

Amy nodded quickly then took Matt's hand as they walked out of the room,
following Jeff and Chloe's direction but acting like they were going for a
walk as well. They found Jeff and Chloe walking around to the cafeteria but
before they reached it, they laughed and let go of each other's hands. They
both apologised then went on their way, talking non-stop.

"I feel really left out." Amy said sadly.

"Don't worry baby, you have me." He said giving Amy another quick kiss.
