Chapter 2
“Hey, wait up!” Amy called after Carly who had just walked past her not noticing her.
“Amy, sorry, I’m in a hurry, I’m kinda late”
“I know I’ve been waiting here 20 minutes. I’m late too. I need to talk to you, but shall we get ready for our match first?”
“Sure. Listen if you want to talk about Jeff I don’t want to hear it right now.” They walked up to the women’s changing room where they met Jackie and Nora. “Hey guys” Carly walked over to her spot and started to get changed. She pulled her blue tank top over her electric blue hair, she pulled on a pair of combat trousers with her name, Bluefire, down the side. She did a few stretches and left the locker room with her partner and opposition.
Nora and Jackie had already gone down to the ring and Amy was on her way out. Standing there on her own, Jeff walked up to her, he tried to pull her close to him but she wouldn’t let him. “We need to talk, it’s really important that you hear what I’ve got to say and…” she turned away from him as her music filled the arena. She headed down to the ring determined to win the match. Vince hadn’t said who would win but the winner got to face Adam and Jay for the Tag Team titles.
Amy and Nora started the match, Jay and Adam then came down to ringside. Carly heard J.R say “What the hell are those two baboons doing down here?” his co-commentator, Vikki, simply told him that they wanted to see who they would be facing on Smackdown. She offered them a seat and flirted with them. Carly lost all concentration on what was actually happening in the match, she realised Amy was waiting for the tag, she tagged in and started on Jackie, Carly let all her anger out on her, Jackie hit like a bloke so she was getting as good as she was giving. She went to the top rope and hit her finishing summersault from the top rope, a move she had learned from Jeff, she covered Jackie but Nora broke up the three count.
Erin (crash) came through the crowed and tried to help Nora as he pulled Amy of her. The crowd went wild, Carly didn’t know why, she was lying on the mat holding her head after a DDT from Jackie. She rolled over to see Matt helping Amy up and she felt a hand on her stomach, she lifted her head and saw Jeff, he then put his arm around her and tried to get her up, he couldn’t, so he pulled her out of the ring as the ref. gained control of the match. Carly got back in her corner with Matt and Jeff cheering Amy on. Amy suplexed Nora and covered her but Jackie got in the ring and stopped the count. Carly waited for the tag. As she did she was trying to understand why Matt, Jeff and Erin had come to ring side, they weren’t supposed to. But as she looked down at Jeff, Amy tagged her in. She took control of Jackie, Amy was taking care of Nora on the outside, Carly bulldogged Jackie and climbed to the top rope again, she could hear Jeff loudly cheering her on, she hit the summersault again and pinned her.
The crowd went wild as Matt and Jeff got into the ring to celebrate with them. Adam and Jay snuck under the ropes and tried to attack Amy and Carly from behind but when Matt and Jeff stood in front of them they scrambled out of the ring.
“Why did you guys come out there? You weren’t supposed to.” Amy said as she walked with Matt and Jeff out to the parking lot where they were going to head of to a nightclub.
“Well, Erin went out coz Vince told him he could so we spoke to him as well and he let us come help you.” Matt said as he opened the driver door of his car. “Jeff, JEFF! Are you coming?”
“I’m not in the mood, I’m gunna sort this out with Carly, if she won’t listen to me, I’ll make her.” He turned around and headed back up to the changing rooms.
