Matt wakes up in the morning, his face aching where Jeff had hit him the night before. But not wanting to move anywhere, for the first time in a while he felt safe and he didn't know why. Last night Jeff had hit him, forced him here against his will and slammed his head onto the floor. Yet he felt safe. Biting his lip he tentatively begins to move, only to be stopped by an arm wrapped around his middle. Sighing softly he relaxes into Jeff's body, he'll stay here for a little while longer. Feel safe for just a little while longer. Closing his eyes again, he drifts off to sleep.

Jeff opens his eyes with a smile on his face. Finally he had found his Matt again. Everyone was going to be overjoyed, the whole of the wwf had been behind him all the way. Stephanie McMahon had secretly kept Jeff on paid leave for the whole four years, helping him out finanically.

He tightens his arm around Matt, not wanting him to go anywhere. Wanting to keep him safe from the world. He gently sits up and turns Matt over, resting his head on his chest. Softly caressing the bruise that was forming on his siblings cheek, feeling a pang of guilt. But that was the only way he could get him away. He brushes his fingers over Matt's full lips feeling them part under his touch. Before closing his eyes and reliving the day that Matt had disappeared four years ago on Christmas day.

"Jeff, it's over." Matt said calmly.

Jeff looks up from the couch he was lying on, "What?"

Matt looks down at him, his heart breaking inside. But he had to do this, for his brother's sake. "Us, it's over, Jeffrey."

Jeff's bottom lip starts to quiver, tears forming in his eyes. He bolts up and runs over to Matt, throwing his arms around him, not wanting to let go. Not wanting to believe him. "Don't do this Matty, we were made for each other." Jeff whispers, his voice trembling tears spilling down his cheeks. Desperately he grabs a handful of Matt's hair and presses a kiss onto his lips.

Matt closes his eyes, just one more kiss he tells himself. Just one more taste of heaven, one more taste of Jeff. After a few seconds he roughly pulls his face away and breaks his hold, stalking to the other side of the room. "No Jeff, I said it was over."

Jeff leans against the wall, his heart breaking. "You wanted that as much as I did." He whispers softly.

Matt bites his lip harshly, breaking the skin rewarding himself with the copper taste of his own blood. He had wanted that, he had wanted more. But he wasn't going to get it, it was time to leave. Turning round he grabs his bag and walks to the door, "Believe that if you want to Jeff, have a good life." He opens the door and with one last look at his baby brother sinking to floor, tears pouring down his face, Matt leaves. "I love you," He whispers as the door shuts.

Jeff hadn't understood why Matt had done that for another few weeks until his dad had a stoke. Jeff had gone to visit him only to have his father spit out that he was glad Matt had gone. How he could no longer corrupt Jeff with his evil ways and he hoped he would rot in hell. Jeff had left straight away not wanting to be near him anymore, he hadn't felt anything when his father had died the next day. He had killed everything that Jeff had lived for, but Jeff had been determined to find Matt again. Now he had, he just wondered what Matt had been through.

Opening his eyes again Jeff carefully got off the bed and went into the bathroom, starting the shower. He could already tell that something bad had happened, Matt had always been the top in their relationship, only letting Jeff top on a special occasion like his birthday. But Matt had been all submissive in bed last night, not how Jeff remembered him at all.

Matt wakes up feeling that the warmth had gone. Upon hearing the shower he slowly starts to get dressed, deep in thought. What was going to happen now? He couldn't stay here and he couldn't go back either. He slowly pulls Jeff's coat on deliberating his options, never hearing the shower stop. Reaching out to open the door a voice interupts his thoughts.

"Where do you think you're going?" Jeff asks, thankful that he hadn't got out a few seconds later. He had nearly lost Matt again, resolve entered his mind, that wasn't going to happen. Stalking over quickly he locks the door and turns to face Matt.

Matt hangs his head and steels himself for a beating, thats what usually follows them words. What has followed them for years now.

Jeff reaches a hand out and watches Matt flinch away, tears spilling from his eyes. This wasn't the older brother he knew, who had broken him like this? Jeff steps forward and pulls Matt into an embrace, burying his face in his raven-colored locks.

Matt feels Jeff's tears on his neck and instinctively wraps his arms around his baby brother, not wanting him to hurt anymore. He rests his head onto his shoulder and breathes in his scent mixed with orange of the shower gel. Tightening his grip he closes his eyes and relaxes into the embrace.
