Raw was about half way through and Kane sat silently watching the monitor in his
locker room. The Kat and Terri had just begun another one of their catfights and
he found he couldn’t take his eyes off the screen. He was probably the only
male in the arena who wasn’t watching the match because the two women’s
clothes were flying everywhere, he was watching because he knew his brother, the
Undertaker, was lurking. Kane had found a close friend in the Kat during the
last few weeks and he knew ‘Taker would take any opportunity to hurt him. But
would he go as far as attacking a woman? And not just any woman, perhaps the
only woman who had ever cared for him.
Kane's mind drifted away when he thought of Kat. She was kind, funny and
beautiful, he had no idea why she was so friendly towards him. When Kane looked
in the mirror he saw an ugly, burnt monster and when he looked at Kat he saw the
most beautiful woman in the world. Perhaps she felt sorry for him and was really
laughing at him behind his back? Kane mentally shook himself, he knew she
wasn’t that kind of person!
“Oh my god! What’s that he doing here?”
“Hey, hey, hey maybe he just wants a close up view of the puppies! You can’t
blame a guy for that!”
Kane’s attention was brought back to what was happening in the ring with a
jerk. He knew it was Taker before he looked and was soon out of his seat, racing
to the ring.
A high pitched scream rang out from a monitor in a nearby locker room which
forced Kane to increase his speed. He barely recognised the small figure of his
tag team partner X-Pac until they reached the ramp and he realised he was too
late. The Undertaker had Kat held high above his head. The look in Taker’s
eyes as he slammed the tiny frame of the Kat into the mat was enough to make
Kane scream in rage and race to the ring. As the tag team champions slid into
the ring Taker quickly departed with a laugh which JR called the most sadistic
thing he had ever heard.
