Andrew sat on his bed in shock.  He held a yellow envelope in his hands.  He was afraid to open it.  It was from his ex-wife, Alannah.  Just when he thought that he had his life back in control, she had to come back into it.

Andrew was also known to millions as Test, the big bad guy from the WWF.  But that wasn't who he really was.  Not many knew that though.  Most people only saw him as the rough, sexist Test.  But not Jessi.  Jessi knew his soul.  She knew everything about his heart.

Andrew hadn't been sure that love actually existed until Jessi came into his life.  He had thought that what he and Alannah had had was love.  But she wasn't who he had fallen in love with.  She was a totally different person.  She was conniving, sneaky and greedy.  It had been barely a year from when they were married that they were divorced.

That's when Jessi had walked into his life.  Andrew had been sitting in a small diner, in the middle of nowhere, drinking a cup of coffee, hoping Alannah would forever disappear from his mind.  He was the only customer in the diner when he heard the door open.  Andrew glanced up and watched as a girl walked over to sit in a booth in front of him, so they were facing each other.

The girl stood about 5'5", so he was considerably taller than she, yet there was a look about her that said she could definately hold her own when push came to shove.  She couldn't have weighed more than 150 pounds and she looked like she had the ethnicity of a native american, maybe a cherokee.  She had shoulder length, straight, dark brown nearly black hair.

She gave him a sweet smile as her soft brown eyes looked over at him.  He had smiled back before deciding to make a bold move.  He picked up his coffee and went to join her.
***
That had been the beginning of Andrew and Jessi, people joked when they heard the story.  It sounded like something from some cheesy romance movie.  "And it's going to end like all those cheesy romances too...with us living happily ever after."  Andrew had often joked.  And everything had seemed to be leading up to that fairy tale ending.  Andrew had proposed to Jessi six months after they had met, and she hadn't even hesitated before saying yes.

And now Andrew sat in his hotel room, scared to open the envelope that had Alannah's familiar scrawl on it.  He had that feeling that whatever was in that envelope would destroy his current life.  He was geniunely scared.

Finally he said a quick prayer and slit the envelope open.  He shook the contents out onto the bed.  He stared at the folded letter and a cassette tape for a few moments before gathering the courage to read the letter.  Again, he immediently recognized Alannah's familiar scrawl.

Andrew,
Bet  you never expected to hear from me, now did ya?   But you know you should always expect the unexpected from me.  Bet your curious about the tape, aren't you?  You always were a curious one.  Well baby, this is going to put our marriage back together again, whether you like it or not.  Of course that means you'll have to break up with your dearest little Jessi, but I'm sure that once you hear the tape, you'll be able to do that with no problem.  But...if you just can't seem to do it, I'll be nice and send her a copy of the tape.  I have many copies of the tape.  Some say the exact same thing others are a bit different.  But they all get the point across.  So, listen to the tape, break your dear little bitch's heart and then come back to me.
Yours,
Ala

Andrew dropped the letter as if it was burning his skin.  This could not be happening.  His eyes glared at the tape, as if trying to make it disappear.  But he knew it wouldn't.

Finally, with a sigh he placed the tape in the tape deck of his CD player.  He closed his eyes as he hit play.  There were a few seconds of silence before he heard the taped phone conversation begin.

Ala: Hello?
Andrew: Hey baby.
Ala: Hey, what are you doing?
Andrew: Sitting here, thinking about you.
Ala: And what were you thinking?
Andrew: That we should be together again.
Ala: Like married?
Andrew: Yeah
Ala: What about your cunt, Jessi?
Andrew: What about her?
Ala: Well, you two are engaged.
Andrew: But I don't love her like I love you.  You are my baby.
Ala: *giggle* Oh, you are so sweet.  but, you're willing to break your engagement to Jessi to marry me?
Andrew: Yeah.  Jessi is a nice girl, but she was just a warm body to fill in for you.  We never should have gotten divorced.   You know I still love you.  More than I could ever love anyone else.  So, what do you say?
Ala: Oh, I say yes!  Break it off with her and I'll marry you.  But be gentle...you don't want to hurt the poor girl. *you can hear the sneer in her voice*

The tape suddenly cut off and Andrew had to fight the urge to thrown up.  He remembered parts of that conversation.  But that is not how it had went at all.  He had called to tell Ala that he was engaged to Jessi.  Alannah had thrown a fit.  Andrew had reminded her that they were over for good.

The tape had been doctored.  He knew it and Alannah knew it, but Alannah was clever.  She would have more of her 'proof' to back her story up if he dared to argue with her plan.  He sighed loudly.  He couldn't let Jessi ever hear this tape.  It would crush her.  He'd have to do what Alannah asked of him, even if it broke his heart.
