Chapter 37
Jeff was happy, no, more then that, he was estatic. He was going to be a father and he was with the woman that he loved with all of his heart.
Leah was right though, they had to get up and go shopping, it was just that he wanted to stay the way he was for as long as possible. He was awakened from his thoughts when suddenly a pillow came flying at his head.
"Time to get out of dreamland there prettyboy, we have to get going if we want to buy this present for my sister." Leah said with a smirk on her face from Jeff rubbing his head from the impact of the pillow.
"I know, I know, but did you really have to hit me with that pillow?" Jeff asked looking at Leah with puppy dog eyes.
"You know I hate it when you give me those eyes, and yes, it was the only way I could think of to get you out of where ever you were." Leah said going over to Jeff and giving him a really big hug.
Leah and Jeff finished getting dressed and talking about the baby. Leah was happy that she finally told Jeff about the baby, now she didn't have to keep it a secret. He was happy. She was happy. That's all that mattered.
===========================================
To no surprise Matt and Colleen were still asleep. It had been a long night and they were really tired.
Finally around 10am Colleen woke up and smelt coffee brewing. She figured that someone was up and thought that she should let Matt sleep.
Colleen slowly made her way out of the bedroom and was careful not to wake Matt up. It looked like an angel when he slept, she didn't want to disturb that.
As she made her way to the kitchen and heard voices, it was Jeff and Leah.
Colleen entered the kitchen, got a cup of coffee and sat down with Leah and Jeff without saying a word.
"Are you ok Colleen?" Leah asked looking at her sister and then at Jeff, giving him the signal to leave them alone.
Colleen noticed that Jeff was getting up to leave. She knew exactly what her sister was doing. "Jeff, you don't have to go, and Leah I am fine. I guess I just need my morning caffine."
"Ok, Can I talk to you alone for a minute?......In the next room?" Leah asked getting up from the table.
"Sure Leah, I'll be right in." Colleen replied as she washed her cup out in the sink.
In the livingroom...........................
"Colleen, I have to tell you something, and don't worry it is a good thing, so don't get all worried on me." Leah said holding Colleen's hands.
"Ok Leah, out with it." Colleen said looking at her sister.
"I told Jeff about the baby. He is so happy, he didn't care that I didn't tell him over a romantic dinner. He is just really happy to be a dad." Leah said with a huge smile on her face.
"O Leah! I am so happy for you and Jeff! Have you set a date for the wedding? Are you going to get married before or after the baby is born?" Colleen asked looking down at Leah's ring.
"The answer to all of your questions is an "I dunno yet". We haven't really had time to arrenge it yet." Leah answered hugging her sister.
"Why don't we go back in to the kitchen and see if Matt is up yet?" Colleen said taking Leah's hand and leading her into the kitchen.
In the kitchen.........................
Sure enough Matt was up. His hair was all over the place but that's what Colleen loved about him. He was just so darned cute first thing in the morning.
"So, is everyone ready to move into the new house?" Jeff asked looking around the room at everyone.
"Yep." Leah said pulling Jeff closer to her.
"Well, in that case I guess, that we should start putting everything into boxes so that we can put it all into the moving van." Jeff said as he headed to the closet to get a few boxes.
All four of them were in their rooms and packing.
In Jeff and Leah's room...................................
"I really hope that Colleen likes her present from us." Jeff said as he put things in boxes.
"Me to Jeff, me too." Leah said looking around the room.
