Chapter 16
Leah
sat mindlessly looking at the burger she had bought about an hour before. She
didn’t want it she just wanted a place to sit and think. She had seen Matt and
Colleen come in but she hadn’t got the courage to call them over to her.
“Come
on!” She said to her self as she shakily dumped her food into the bin and
slowly mad her way to their table. She noticed Matt look up at her. Colleen then
turned around and got to her feet. She stood looking at her sister. Who she
could see was shaking. She slowly walked to Leah hugged her. Leah returned the
hug and began to cry into Colleen’s shoulder.
When
Leah had calmed down she sat down with Matt and Colleen. “I’m sorry I
ran.” She said as she held her sisters hand. “I was scared. I didn’t know
what else to do.”
“It’s
ok. We found you now. But I think we had better go meet up with Jeff.” Colleen
said as Matt dumped the rubbish. They all stood up and Leah walked in between
Matt and Colleen as she let them led her back to the airport.
Jeff
sat back on the bench where he was supposed to meet Matt. He had his head held
in his hands and tears stained his face. He loved Leah more than anything. He
knew she would keep the promises she would make at their wedding but now
everything was messed up. She was god knows where and he was sitting around
doing nothing to find her.
“Jeff.”
He heard in a soft familiar voice. His head shot up and looked at the person who
spoke. He got to his feet.
“Leah.”
He said softly as she walked to him. She threw her arms around his neck and he
wrapped his arms back around her. He held her so tight he was sure he wasn’t
letting her breath.
“I
love you so much Leah, never leave me again please, and promise me that.”
“That’s
one thing I can promise Jeff. I love you with all my heart.”
“Come on. Lets go to the hotel.” He said as he reluctantly let her go. He smiled at Matt and thanked him with a hug. Leah and Colleen walked with their arms linked as Matt and Jeff talked. When they got in the car Jeff got in the back with Leah and held her close as Matt drove and Colleen sat up front with him and they drove to the hotel for some much needed sleep.
