Chapter 6

Standing back stage before her match Chloe lent against a wall and tried to stop thinking about Matt and Jeff, it was all he fault, Amy had told her they had never fallen out over a girl before so she said they must be serious about her. She had talked to Amy for an hour and she told her to follow her heart, but after Jeff pushed her against the wall and she hit her head, she didn’t know how she felt.

Suddenly Chloe felt somebody shaking her, waking her from her daydream. It was Amy, “Are you ready?” she agreed as Nora’s music blared over the speakers. She saw Matt arrive. She looked at him and smiled. Jeff turned up as Jackie stepped out on to the stage. “Matt’s, coming with me to ring side and Jeff’s coming with you coz they have done you some music.” Amy’s music blared out and the crowed went wild. Matt looked at Jeff as he stood behind Chloe, he made it pretty clear that he was marking his territory, Matt then followed Amy out.

“Are you ok?” Jeff said as he stood in front of Chloe?

“Yeah” she didn’t have a chance to say anything else because Jeff planted his lips on hers, she was reluctant to kiss him back but just like all the other times she couldn’t stop herself. He pulled away when Chloe’s music filled the arena. She and Jeff then took to the stage preparing for the match of her life. As she step out to the stage the crowd went wild. She and Jeff made their way down to the ring. Matt and Jeff stood on different sides of the ring. Amy and Chloe watched them to make sure they didn’t decide to have another go at each other.

Jacqueline suplexed Amy, they where both exhausted, they tried to tag in their partners, Amy got to her corner and tagged in Chloe and Nora got the tag. Chloe soon had control of Nora, but Erin (Crash) grabbed her foot and made her trip up, Nora then went up to the top rope but Chloe got to her feet and she lifted her over her head, and just happened to drop her. The crowd were shouting her name, she covered Nora. 1.. 2.. 3.. The crowd went wild. Amy got into the ring after fighting with Jacqueline on the outside of the ring, Matt and Jeff both got in the ring and raised Amy and Chloe’s arms. They walked up the ramp. Team xtreme gave the crowd the guns and went back stage.

“That was great, you did so well” said Jeff as he pulled Chloe into a hug, she didn’t hug him back, and as she saw Matt over his shoulder, she pulled free.

“I’ll see you later.” She said as she gave Matt a hug not forgetting Amy.    

 “Hey, don’t forget we’ve got to do something tonight as it’s your last night.” Amy said as Chloe walked away.

“Ok, I’ll catch up with you in a while” she walked towards her dressing room. She was in the mood to go out. She sat on the chair as she got changed and put her stuff into her bag. She looked up as Amy walked into the room.

“Hey, are you ok?” Amy asked as she sat on the chair opposite Chloe.

“I think so”

“You don’t look it, this whole Matt and Jeff thing is really getting to you isn’t it?”

“Yeah, it’s all my fault, I just want to get out of here and not come back. I can’t help the way I feel about them.”

“How do you feel?”

“I don’t really know, I had it straight in my head, I had sorted things out with Matt and I was coming back here to talk to Jeff but that’s when he went for Matt. I couldn’t believe he did that, I wanted to hurt him for what he was doing to Matt, and me, I guess”

“So, do you have any idea why Jeff went for Matt?”

“I think so, me and Matt had gone back to the hotel to get changed, I told Matt how I felt about him, and he said he felt the same but we didn’t know if our feelings were real or just because of some of the things we have told each other, so he said there was one quick way to find out, so, we kissed, it was full of feelings to start with but we soon realised that we didn’t have true feelings for each other so we were then leaving to come back to the arena. As we left I found this big bunch of flowers outside my room on the fire escape, I read the card and they were from Jeff, I guess he saw us kissing and got the wrong idea. We came back to the arena and that’s when Jeff went for Matt.”

“So, you were going to choose Jeff, isn’t that what you want to do now?”

“I don’t know because when he did that to Matt I saw a side of him I hadn’t seen before and it scared me, then when he pushed me against the wall, it changed the way I felt about him, I then felt completely responsible about what happened to Matt, so after I finished talking to you, I went to see Matt and got him to come here. I kissed him and one thing led to another. Then before I went out for the match Jeff kissed me and I couldn’t help kissing him back.”

“Oh, I think you should get them both to sit in a room together and you three need to sort this out coz you leave tomorrow and I don’t want them to carry on like this.”

Back at the hotel Chloe had got Matt and Jeff to go to her room, she thanked Jeff for the flowers.

“We need to sort this out and I think this is the only way to do it”

“Look, I don’t need to sit around listening to you two telling me how in love you are!!!” Jeff got up and stormed out of the door. Chloe looked at Matt and he nodded at her, she ran out the door after him.

“Jeff!” she yelled down the corridor trying to get him to stop running. “Jeff!” she tried again and again, he wasn’t listening to her, she ran as fast as she could down the corridor, she started to catch him. He turned a corner, as she got near that corner, she got the fright of her life, Jeff jumped out in front of her. “Don’t fuckin’ do that!!!!” She yelled at him, as she tried to catch her breath. She looked into his eyes, she pushed him against the wall. As she put her hands around his face he ran his hands up her back, she kissed him, for the first time when they had kissed Jeff pulled away from her.

“What about Matt? I saw you kissing him earlier.”

“I know you did but, it wasn’t what you’re thinking. I had, well, still do have feelings for him, and I can’t just stop that, we kissed because we wanted to see if our feelings were real or not.”

“Whatever.”

“It’s the truth, they weren’t, that’s when we came back to the arena, you then went for Matt and pushed me against the wall, that scared me Jeff, I couldn’t believe you were beating up your brother, that changed the way I felt about you.” He then pushed her against the opposite wall, pressing himself against her.

“I didn’t want to hurt you, or scare you, I just got so mad I couldn’t control myself, I wanted to stop but I couldn’t, then when you pulled away from me in Vince’s room, I thought I had lost you and I wasn’t going to just let Matt have you, if he wants you as much as I do he’s going to have to fight for you”

“Jeff, I don’t want you two fighting over me.”

“I know but how else do you choose?”

“I’ll choose the right guy”. He lent forward and kissed her. After feeling herself melt in his arms, she finished the kiss and left him standing in the corridor. She headed back to her room as quick as she could. She looked at Matt sitting on her bed. She walked up to him. He put his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him. “We need to talk”

“I know but, just one thing.” He whispered something in her ear and she looked at him, she couldn’t believe what he had just asked her.

“If, that’s what you want.”

“It is, you and Jeff will have the rest of your lives together, so just give me one night, please, that’s….” Chloe stopped him from finishing his sentence as she kissed him, the kiss grew intense, they fell back on to the bed, they laughed but then they became serious. He undid her top and her trousers she laid on the bed naked as he walked away from her, he shut all the blinds, as he came back she pulled his top of and he undid his trousers. He laid on top of her, she wrapped her arms around his neck. He let her have it, she let out a load groan, his pace was slower than before, but filled with passion. Passion she had never experienced before. She let Matt take complete control, she just wanted to enjoy it, and she did.

As Chloe woke up in the middle of the night she felt Matt lying behind her, he had his arms around her. She turned over trying not to wake him. She thought how peaceful he looked. She buried her head into his chest. She felt him move, his hand moved up her bareback. He opened his eyes and looked at her. “Thank-you” he whispered to her softly as she lifted her head.

“Is it over?” she asked him looking into his eyes.

“Yeah, but I want you to know that I love you.”

“I know you do, I love you too.” She kissed his lips. “What happens between us now?”

“Friends”

“No”

“Why not?”

“Not just friends, The very best friends.” They smiled at each other as he pulled her close to him for the last time. “What are you going to do about Jeff?”

“I’ll think of something.” They both closed their eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
