On this page you will find the Online Intense Arena's "Midwest Top 50." Our panel of experts have seen and or worked with virtually every wrestler in nearly every promotion in the Midwest. Here's the criteria that goes into the making of the list:

No actual in ring workers are on the panel, to insure it's objectivity.

Any wrestler who has spent an extended period of time in one of the big three (WWF, WCW, or ECW) is not eligible. For example, this disqualifies workers such as Dan Severn, Greg Valentine, and Ian Rotten. However, wrestlers such as Shark Boy, Chris Harris, and Wolfie D (yes I know Wolfie has been in all of the big three, but never for an extended period of time as an active wrestler) are eligible.

The "Midwest" is a very subjective term, to some it only means a few states such as Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and so on. To others, it can stretch as far west as Nebraska or the Dakota's. For our purposes, we used the following states as "Midwest": Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, southern Michigan, Iowa, and Missouri. Eventually, this website will cover all of those states anyway, so look at the top 50 as "ahead of it's time" as far as site coverage goes.

Voting is based on overall in ring ability, not necessarily wins/losses or titles won. Therefore, just because someone is the champion of a promotion, does not mean they will automatically be ranked. Likewise, just because, for example, Mark Green pins Steve Austin on a QWF show in Chicago, doesn't mean he will get a high ranking, because, as we all know, he was just booked to win the match :).

If you have any questions, comments, or feedback on the Midwest Top 50, head on over to our Message Board and leave your opinions there. Keep in mind, this list is not being presented as the absolute unquestionable truth; it's just a consensus opinion of several individuals!

Enough with the hype, on to the list...
