The Gypsy Guerilla Band with their "Hit and Run" Music mainly played throughout the day at the Gypsy Bend in Holly Field on the south side of Scarborough.. Their last set of the day, however, was at the Hightower Square Gazebo (shown here, left, in photo) where they played almost until closing.
Sleepy kids! The Gypsy Guerilla Band offers a mix of traditional sounds, ranging from slow laments to fast-paced reels. Here, two very tired young fairegoers have drifted off to sleep while listening to the soft strains of the Gypsy violin.
But when they rocked, they REALLY Rocked! It may have been late in the day at Scarborough, but when the Gypsy Guerilla Band fired up their instruments, it was impossible to keep your feet still! Here, young and old alike joined in as the GGBand played a long set of fast reels.
Isis and the Stardancers always put on a great show at Scarborough! Here they warm up the audience at the Gypsy Stage in the Pecan Grove on the north side of the faire.
Let the show begin! After introducing the troupe, each bellydancer briefly demonstrated some of his or her best moves before swinging into the main show. There is always a large audience for a Stardancers performance!
Shake, shake, shake! Beautiful women dancing to the sounds of exotic drums and pipes -- now THAT is entertainment!!!
