1. Ask your teacher for a Hospital Chart worksheet. If your teacher doesn't have a worksheet, ask him or her to click on the HOSPITAL CHART and print one out for you.
2. Pick your penguin patient. Will you help Annie the Adelie Penguin, Eddie the Emperor Penguin, Kevin the King Penguin, or Mary the Macaroni Penguin? Write both your name and your penguin's name on the right spot on the Hospital Chart worksheet.
3. Look below for your patient's name and penguin problem. Write your penguin's name and problem down on the hospital chart.
4. Click on the 2 links to web sites which give you information on your type of penguin. Use that information to decide what is causing your penguin's problem. Think up a way to solve the problem and make your penguin feel better. Write your answers down on the correct spaces on the Hospital Chart.
5. Get together with the other doctors in your group make sure that the other doctors have each one of the other penguin patients. Share what you have found. See if the other doctors agree with you. Do they have other ideas? Could they be right?
6. Present what you have found out about your penguin and his or her problem to the rest of the class. Use your Hospital Chart to help you.
