Book Review

Ramona The Brave, by Beverly Cleary
Reviewed by Sally

The main characters in this story are Ramona and her family, a girl in Ramona's class named Susan, Ramona's teacher Mrs. Griffs, and Howie. Ramona likes to be called Ramona Q.

The book has lots of funny things to laugh at. I loved it when Ramona mashed up the bricks that Howie gave her and turned them into mush. It's funny to see all the ways that Ramona can get in trouble. Ramona gets in fights with her family as well as her classmates in every page in this book.

My favorite part was when Ramona went a different way to school and a dog stole one of her shoes. Ramona had to walk to school with one shoe.

I think you will like this book Ramona the Brave by Beverly Clearly. I would say that this book should be called Ramona the Naughty, but you should read it to find out how she is brave in the story. Ramona feels scared, but never lets it show, and never cries.
