Chapter 1

"Hey, Michaela, guess what?"

"What?" Michaela answered her friend, Kelsey.

Kelsey subtly pointed to a group of three guys in ling for a ride. "Those guys over there look a lot like Hanson," she said.

Michaela followed the direction of Kelsey's finger. She saw three longhaired blond boys standing by a ride at the carnival they were spending the day at. It was peculiar seeing young guys with long hair in Southeastern Wisconsin (unless they were druggies), so Michaela found it weird considering these boys looked like they'd never seen anything bad in their lives.

She shrugged it off with a, "kind of" and went back to eating her popcorn. The kernels were heavily salted and semi-stale, but she ate on. With the price they paid for it, Michaela hoped Kelsey would start eating and was surprised she wasn't. That was not money to waste. It seemed no money could be wasted in the 90s.

Michaela glanced at Kelsey and noticed she was still staring at the boys. "Don't stare at them! They'll think you're obsessed or something. And besides, don't you think they'd be surrounded by security if it really was them?"

"Maybe not," Kelsey always seemed to think she was right. "And Hanson is having a concert here in three days, so it makes sense that they would be here." Michaela and Kelsey never wanted to admit being wrong which made it hard to end a disagreement. They defended themselves until something or someone stopped them.

"Well," Michaela answered. "If you want to know so bad, why don't you ask them?"

"Yeah right," Kelsey laughed. Both of the girls were shy and rarely walked up to strangers. That wasn't the girls' only similar quality. In fact, they were a lot alike. They usually were interested in the same things, including the band Hanson, and their personalities were almost identical. Their shyness could quickly leave at any moment and they would be very outgoing, especially when around friends.

They did have some difference, though, especially in height. Kelsey was 5'11" with stick-straight brown hair that fell just past her shoulders. When she was hyper, people thought she was insane. She explained it as being "misunderstood."

Michaela, on the other hand, was 5'2". Because of their height difference, people often thought they were sisters though Michaela was only four months younger. She was artistic and loved drawing and designing webpages. She hoped that would be her profession.

Kelsey's obsession with the guys made Michaela curious. She studied them more closely. There were two tall boys about Kelsey's height, and one closer to Michaela's. They were the same height as Hanson and also wearing a similar style of clothing. Even though it was a hot day in July, they were all wearing pants, which was definitely something Hanson would do.

One of the guys must have noticed Michaela staring and looked right at her. She quickly averted her eyes but then focused on them again. The guy that turned to her looked a lot like Taylor. "Maybe they do look like Hanson," Michaela admitted.

"See! I told you!" Kelsey gripped the corners of the wooden table and jumped in excitement. She was glad Michaela was finally admitting she was right.

"Let's go!" Michaela exclaimed, leaping from the table. She suddenly had a burst of outgoingness. The two girls tried to calmly join the guys in line, leaving the popcorn behind.

Now that Kelsey was closer to them, she was sure they were Hanson. She became nervous and felt butterflies in her stomach. What if it was Hanson? What would she do? A million questions filled her head, and she didn't know how to deal with them. She glanced at Michaela. Michaela nodded, showing she felt the same way.

While they were trying to find the right words to ask the three boys, the shortest one that looked like an exact replica of Zac turned to them and said, "You're going on this ride, too? You must be as crazy as we are!"

"What?" Michaela was confused. She looked up at the ride and her stomach flipped. She had a weak stomach when it came to spinning rides, and that one was going at least sixty miles-per-hour.

"All right!" Kelsey shouted. She loved almost any ride, and that one looked fun and adventurous.

"Taylor" laughed at the girls' opposite reactions. "Maybe you should look at the ride before you get in line for it," he said to Michaela. He held out his hand for the girls to shake. "Hi, I'm Taylor."

Michaela's eyes shone as she took his hand. "I'm Michaela and this is Kelsey," she said pointer to her friend. "You're Taylor Hanson?"

"Yep," he answered with another award-winning smile.

"So this is Ike and Zac?" Kelsey questioned as she also shook Taylor's hand.

"And Gabriella," Isaac added, speaking for the first time.

Zac saw the girls' confused faces and whispered, "Gabriella is Isaac's girlfriend."

The girls were astonished. A girlfriend? They eyed the girl. She looked about Ike's age with long blond hair. Her facial features were small. She had crystal blue eyes and a round nose. There was a slight smirk on her face, and it looked as if she was saying, "Haha, I'm going out with a Hanson and you're not." She was tall and pretty. Kelsey already hated her.

Isaac looked disappointed with Kelsey's reaction. He was hoping fans wouldn't mind him having a girlfriend. He remembered the reaction and decided he might not tell any more fans about Gabriella. He would have to talk to her about that later.

Kelsey noticed his change in expression and quickly said, "I didn't know you had a girlfriend. That's cool." She didn't want to show her disappointment because she always thought she would be happy for Ike if he went out with someone. She convinced herself that she was.
