"Hey kids!" they finally heard the tall Hispanic man call. "You're up." They hadn't even noticed they were next in line for the ride. Michaela nervously followed Zac up the precarious steps with Kelsey bouncing behind her. She handed the impatient man her tickets and walked into the dark ride.
"Kelsey, where are you?" Michaela whispered frantically after stepping into the dim circular room.
"I'm right here," Kelsey whispered back, grabbing the back of Michaela's shirt. Michaela smiled. It was just like in Tulsa, Tokyo, and the Middle of Nowhere when Zac grabbed the back of Isaac's shirt to help him get through the crowd of screaming girls. The girls both wanted to quote the movie, but they stopped when they remembered Hanson could hear them.
"Where did Hanson go?" Kelsey asked.
"I don't know. They probably when off and forgot all about us." Michaela and Kelsey quickly found two empty seats next to each other and sat down.
Before they could start squealing about Hanson being on the same ride as them (which is sad but you know they would have done it) a voice next to Kelsey said, "Hey, long time no see. They recognized the voice as Taylor's and saw Zac and Taylor sitting right next to them. They secretly thanked themselves for not squealing.
"Where's Ike?" Kelsey wondered. She purposely didn't mention Gabriella.
Zac explained, "We couldn't find four empty seats next to each other, so we had to separate."
"Oh," Kelsey said back. While Kelsey, Taylor, and Zac continued talking, Michaela sat back in her seat. She couldn't believe she was skipping the opportunity to talk to her favorite band, but she could barely hear them anyway. Instead she prepared herself for the ride. She didn't mind fast rides that much, but she had already been on a number of others and didn't know if she could handle another one.
Taylor noticed Michaela's quietness but didn't say anything about it. He figured she was just shy. He smiled at the thought of it. He didn't meet many fans that didn't want to date him.
"How old are you two?" Taylor half-yelled to them.
Kelsey informed him, "We're both fifteen."
Zac's eyebrows slightly raised, "You're both the same age?"
"Yup."
"Oh, I thought you were sisters."
Kelsey slapped her forehead. Michaela heard Zac's comment and shrieked, "Don't say that! Everybody says that!"
"Yeah," Kelsey added. "I personally don't see it."
"Well, I see it," Zac called back. "You have the same hair color, you look the same, you…"
"I think they get it, Zac," Taylor laughed.
Before they could say another word, the ride jolted to a start and began slowly spinning. "Finally!" Zac exclaimed at the same time Michaela thought, "Here we go." She clenched the chair with her hands and shut her eyes.
They kept on gaining speed spinning faster and faster until even someone watching from outside could get dizzy. As if that wasn't enough, the chairs moved up the side of the wall. Nobody could touch the ground. "This is so cool!" Zac yelled to anyone that was listening.
The ride didn't end as soon as Michaela hoped it would, but she was beyond relief when it did. She stood up and immediately felt the blood rushing from her head. She scolded herself and promised never to do something dangerous for anyone, not even Hanson.
Isaac noticed Michaela's weak face, so he held his arm out to giver her support down the steps. Michaela smiled, thanking him. "Why don't we go on the a slower ride now?" Isaac suggested. Everyone knew Michaela loved the idea and agreed to go along with it.
"Is there a ferris wheel somewhere?" Gabriella wondered.
The six kids turned in circles looking at every ride on the place for a ferris wheel. They spotted a ride a lot like a ferris wheel, but the whole thing was on its side, spinning on a diagonal. "That's close enough!" Zac pointed and ran towards it. The others followed behind.
Kelsey wanted to ride with one of the Hanson brothers but didn't know how to ask them. Michaela was feeling the same way. Kelsey knew Michaela wouldn't speak up, so she randomly picked Zac and asked, "Hey, Zac, would you like to ride on the ferris wheel with me?"
Zac glanced at Taylor and then Michaela. "Sure!" he said. He knew Taylor and Michaela would have no problem sitting with each other on the ride. He even thought they looked almost cute together, even though Michaela was just short than himself. He knew it would be the smartest idea not to mention his opinion to anyone.
"I guess that means we're stuck with each other," Taylor said to Michaela.
Michaela laughed, "Yeah." She didn't mind it at all. She wouldn't have minded getting "stuck" with any of them, even Gabriella. She was curious about Gabriella and wanted to ask her a few things.
