I want to tell you about my best friend so you can get to know him and he can be your best friend, too.
My best friend is very special. I've known him ever since I can remember, but he's known me longer. He loves me more than anyone else does. He died for me because I had done bad things. I couldn't go to heaven because of those bad things. Heaven is the beautiful home God made up in the sky. Now I can go to heaven, because my friend took the punishment for what I did. He didn't stay dead, though. He came alive again, because he is God and he can do anything. Now I can get to know him better every day.
My best friend's name is Jesus. He loves you as much as he loves me, even if you don't know him. He died for the bad things you've done, too. If you want him to become your best friend and forgive your sins so you can live in heaven, say this to him now:
"Jesus, will you please come and be my best friend? Please forgive me for the bad things I've done. Thank you for taking my punishment. I am trusting you to take me to heaven. Please help me to be good like you. Amen."If you just meant what you said to Jesus, he is your best friend, too! Now you need to talk to him and read about him in the Bible every day. You need to tell others how they can have Jesus for their best friend, too. Also email me and tell me Jesus is your new best friend. I'll tell you what else to do to get to know Jesus better!
