The Mike Statement

Sunday, May 01, 2005

My only fear regarding Family Guy's return to television would be that it would become nothing more than a parody of itself - no new, fresh ideas, but rather a smattering of ideas and gags from the original run of the series.

In tonight's episode (which wasn't bad):

Tom Tucker's upside-down face son
Greased up deaf guy
Chris' weird pedophile guy from his paper route

  • I just see it as them using repetitive humor, which isn't a bad thing... It's great to see tried & true characters like that pop back in... Of course, anyone who hasn't been a previous fan of Family Guy would probably have no idea what was going on, but that's the case 50% of the time for most viewers, anyways.
