The inaugural Blockbuster post!

Alright, so tomorrow I'm having a tour from my District Leader at work. Now, normally a store tour is very much like a root canal. Unfortunately, this District Leader is brand spankin' new, and he doesn't think I know how to do my job, so this exam will pretty much be the equivalent of the rubber glove part of a physical exam.

He "dropped" by on Monday, and nitpicked his way through the store, but not before stopping at the other store in town and telling their manager that he intends to have her take over my store. NOTE: He has not informed either myself or my Assistant Manager that he intends to bring another manager in.

Now, not only am I mad about the fact that he's going behind mine and everyone else's backs, but it also bugs me that we've kinda been given this trial by fire (alright, back story - our new DL ran a store in Newmarket before his promotion. He left his store, our store manager went to manage Newmarket, therefore, no manager at our store), but we're not even getting the trial. For some reason, he's decided that we can't handle it, and that we need help. For the record, he's given us a grand total of two weeks so far to prove ourselves.

And the worst part is, we were very happy to hear that he was becoming our new DL, as he had actually worked in a store and would know what is was like when DL's gave us more work to do, but cut our hours, yet, somehow, he has already fallen into this magical land of delusion that head office people tend to live in.

So, yeah, I'll let everyone know if I still have a job tomorrow. I already went in on my day off (today) and am heading in for 8 for a 12-9 shift, so I certainly think that should be worth a little bit of something!
