Hi...well, well, well you want to know about the second time hunh??
Well it was April 17th 1997, at the Sun Prarie Athletic Club. It was the LYO (Lutheran Youth Org) Middle School Lock-In! We had a huge group go and it was cool!! Kirsten and I went cause the flyer said that Echelon would be there. We went "that name looks firmilliar"!! When we got there, we saw John. We said HI and asked if he remembered us. He kinda did!! We asked him where the other guys were, cause there were two other guys playing, NOT Todd or Lowell. He said that Lloyd was around, and that those other two were filling in for Todd and Lowell. When Lloyd came in, it was time for the concert to start. We yelled his name, and he smilled, and seemed to remember us!!! We got called up to do clapping for a song.. I don't recall what song. Well then they let the kids loose. I remember talking with Echelon as they took stuff down. It was COOL!!! I then went and bought a T-Shirt (which I still wear), and their CD!! I signed up for the mailing list..again!!
Then I found out that Echelon was leaving sooner than they'd planned. I sat by the stairs and watched them load up the van. I remember that as Lloyd was going out for the last time I said "Take Care!" Lloyd turnned around and gave me a HUGE, unexpected, HUG!! He said that it was great to see me again, and said that he hoped to see me soon. He also said to write/e-mail him, and asked if I had the address. I said yes, and that I'd write him. I was thrilled that he asked, and that he concidered me a friend. Then the rest of Echelon was there, and I hugged them all. I was VERY sad when they left, and kinda moped around the rest of the time. I talked with Dan Fiester, LYO person, and he said that Echelon would be at the LYO High school retreat in November.. I asked him to send info as soon as it came out..
I went and played volleyball for 3 hours from 1-4 AM. I remember that I prayed to God that Echelon have a safe trip, since the weather was till VERY CRAPPY!!
Over the spring and summer, I e-mailed Lloyd. I learned that he has a very slow response time!! Like 2-3 months!! I remember getting my first e-mail back from him...I had put in "Some Assembly" and was listening to it. Then I went downstairs to go online. When I checked e-mail there was a message from Lloyd!! I thought that the irony of the whole thing was really cool!! =-)
Also over the summer I got the info for the November LYO Retreat. Echelon WAS going to be there!! I was SOOOOO Happy!!! I recall that over the summer Lloyd and I kept in touch via E-mail. He even gave me a lesson in why he's a Bears fan!! I'll post that up later!!
Then as November came around.....
