Random Musings of a Strange Strange Girl in a Strange Strange World

Fine, fine, I guess I can't hide behind a penname and a face forever... or maybe I can... but here's who I am...

I'm twenty-one years old.

I was the Millenium class of Wayzata High School. I graduated in the top 10% of my class of 600 or so with better than a 3.8 GPA. I participated in the National Honor Society, DARE Role Model program, National Conference for Community and Justice, Plymouth Youth Advisory Counsel, school choir, church choir, volunteered at the public library and all sorts of good stuff.

Now I'm a junior at the University of MN at Duluth and my facade of normalcy has weakened.

I'm majoring in Communications and minoring in Marketing (or at least that's what I'm goin' with for today). I'm also an apartment Resident Advisor and a University Relations intern.

I'm the secretary and activities director of the UMD Literary Guild.

I've got more fun info like that on my resume.

Oh, but you want deeper questions, huh?

I have had some mixed feelings aboutlove in the past, but right now I think it's nothing short of amazing. I am completely in love with one of my best friends and I don't think I've been this happy since elementary school. It's wonderful. I can only hope I'm lucky enough to hang on to this for a while.

For all the English majors I hang out with, I'm pretty under-read, especially in the classics. My favorite author recently has been Faith Sullivan, but I've already read everything she's written, so let me know if you've got reading suggestions. :-)

The scariest/weirdest/most memorable dream I've ever had was about being dead. They say that if you die in a dream, you'll die in real life, but what if you're dead from the very beginning of the dream?

Two of the movies I love are Office Space and American Beauty (quite the juxtaposition, I know). Office Space just rules, 'nuf said. American Beauty is like a funhouse mirror... twisted and distorted and intoxicating but just true enough that when you look closely, you see yourself staring back...

Don't like the questions I answered? What would YOU like to know? Email me and ask away...

Scared? Go back, back I say!
