The Manga

Chapter 1

Jadeite's part in chapter 1 was very small: all he had to do was to appear on a single picture and say: "Sailormoon... She may be a nuisance, but I'll get the ginzuishou anyway" as a reaction on Usagi's first entrance. The scheme of energy draining he used was the same one he used in the episode 1 of the anime.

Chapter 2

In the chapter 2, we learned Jadeite's name and position in the Dark Kingdom. The way he drained energy was similar to the one in episode 8 of the anime, where Ami appeared - he used young geniuses as power sources.

Chapter 3

Jadeite kidnapped girls who rode the bus on their way home from the Hikawa shrine, where Rei lived; later, he drained their energy. Rei, who hadn't turned into a Sailor Senshi yet, but suspected something anyway, ended up in this bus (the number was 666, if anyone cares ^^) also, and was almost choked to death by Jadeite... As she fell down unconscious, Jadeite examined her closer and muttered that she was beautiful (well, this can't be debated) and that he kind of liked her. Soon Usagi and Ami showed up and tried to attack Jadeite, but he grabbed Rei and they couldn't do anything. However, later they did manage to immobolize Jadeite with Usagi's tiara, and while he was only able to attack the girls with energy he emited from his eyes, Rei transformed and killed the general... *insert Lord Nadeshiko's screams, tears and curses here*

Nephrite and Zoisite, who saw everything through a crystal ball, were mad and upset to say the least, unlike the anime, where no one gave a damn to what happened to Jadeite...

Cameos

When the silver crystal appeared later in the story, all the generals that were killed at that time (Jadeite, Nephrite & Zoisite) were resurrected; after that, they became Mamoru's guardian spirits and their souls were sealed into stones they represented. Kunzite's spirit was added to them later. They made occasional cameos in the later arcs. Jadeite also appeared in a vision created by an evil woman (Zoisite in disguise?) who fought against Rei in "Casablanca Memory".
