Episode Guide
Episode 1 - Nakimushi Usagi no karei naru henshin
The episode that started the whole story... Jadeite makes his first appearance when Queen Beryl says that
energy is needed to awake Metallia, and says that he'll get it from humans. He sends his first youma, Morga, to Tokyo,
where she poses as Oosaka Naru's mother, the jewelry shop owner, and uses beautiful accessoires to drain power from
young girls. Everything seems to be simply perfect until Sailormoon shows up for the very first time, gets help from the
mysterious masked baka Tuxedo Kamen and destroys Morga with her Moon Tiara. Jadeite growls and is understandably
pissed off.
Episode 2 - Oshiokiyo! Uranai house wa youma no yakata
Jadeite visits Earth for the first time, dressed MiB style (kawaii ^^), and finds out that a good way to steal energy is
to create a fortune-telling agency (hope that was a correct word choice :P). His beautiful youma Bayama controls Usagi's
classmates (all of them are boys who visited her fortune-telling house) and makes them behave not quite nicely to say
the least (Umino lifts Haruna-sensei's skirt and tries to kiss Usagi... not very much like him FYI). Later, when Usagi tries
to check things out, boys attack her along with Bayama but can you guess what happens next? I'm betting all of us can.
Three words, Moon Tiara Action.
Episode 3 - Nazono nemuribyou, mamore otomeno koisuru kokoro
Jadeite creates a midnight radio program during which young girls' love letters are read aloud (by him... he has a
gorgeous voice, so who else could do it? ^^). The author of the best letter receives an elegant flower-shaped brooch
which in fact is a clever little device that drains energy from the one who has the brooch pinned to his clothing or touches
it. Haruna-sensei and Oosaka Naru are among Jadeite's victims, and Usagi also has her power sucked away when she
tries to awake weakened Naru. However, Luna then wakes Usagi up and they go to the radio station (not before having
a not-so-nice chat with the security guard). Usagi also uses her Luna Pen to disguise herself for the first time. She meets
Jadeite face-to-face and gets a nosebleed because of the young man's irresistable cuteness... but he's a villain, plus there
is a youma around, so they have to fight. She finishes off Fro pretty soon, but battling Jadeite is harder... he stops her
Moon Tiara and prepares to beat the lights out of Odango Atama, but a very much Zorro-like guy shows up and Jadeite
decideds that he'll sort out things... later.
Episode 4 - Usagi ga oshiemasu! Slim ni naruhou
A new way of getting energy is setting up a beauty salon/training hall where young women do their best to become slim
and pretty. The shower cabins where they "have a rest" after a hard time of training steal their energy and they have no
idea of that... Usagi, who has some weird ideas about her body, wants to get slimmer (where was her logic?... her body
is nearly perfect) and, along with her friends, goes to Jadeite's salon. And nosebleeds AGAIN, since the handsome young
instructor *guess who* is absolutely godlike... plus Usagi doesn't recognize Jadeite since dear, he wears glasses! He's
COMPLETELY different from that baddie she fought before ^^;;;. Somehow she gets to know it IS that baddie, though.
Usagi fights men possessed by Jadeite, while the "baddie" himself returns to Dark Kingdom and hangs in fresh energy
to Queen Beryl. Hard to believe it, but the plan WAS successful this time. Yay.
Episode 5 - Youma no kaori! Shaneera wa aiwo nusumu
Jadeite fully proves his ability to create something really kawaii along with *being* really kawaii... Now he uses adorable
little bunny-like animals called Shaneera to get energy and it works fine since people go completely crazy about
those fluffy white creatures who smell wonderfully and eat nothing, so having them at home is a true pleasure, unless
you don't count the fact that your personality is slightly affected. No one gives a damn, though... until brave Sailormoon
decides that it's time to get rid of the Shaneera (not before being slightly hypnotized by one of them, though) and pays
a visit to the petshop and fights the youma and possessed children. Her brother is among them, BTW, so she uses a
harmless attack to fix their minds... the youma's less lucky than the kids, let's just put it flat out.
Episode 6 - Mamore koino melody! Usagi wa cupid
Jadeite introduces a simply gorgeous energy-draining melody that has to be recorded on cassetes and released so that
people would listen to it and lose power. He sends Kyuurene, the bat-like youma, to the recording studio, where the
energy-draining cassete and a normal one are accidentally mixed. An ordinary cassete belongs to a composer (who is
in love with a young lady from the studio), and more so, Usagi is involved into the story, so Jadeite's great plan is
wrecked once again, and the cassete with his beautiful music is broken... *a picture of Jadeite having a conniption*
Episode 7 - Usagi hansei! Star no michi wa kibishii
Cosidering that most girls want to become super stars, Jadeite sets up an idol audition in which Usagi's many classmates
(even Umino O_o) take parts. Usagi is willing to try herself also, but noooooo, aunty Luna is avidly against that. She was
right in a way, not that it was good for Jadeite though, since Usagi eventually finds out that this contest is a yet another
evil plan, so she starts a fight with the MotD again. Too bad she wins... again.
Episode 8 - Tensai shoujo wa youma nano? Kyoufuno sennoujuku
Ami/Sailormercury makes her first entrance, being among the victims of a youma who, posing as a cram school worker,
gets the energy from young geniuses. Jadeite, in his turn, describes Japanese school system very well... "Mothers do all
they can to put their children into prestigious kindergartens, then to prestigious elementary schools, prestigious
middle schools, high schools and then, into prestigious universities."
Episode 9 - Usagi no sainan! Awate dokeini goyoujin
Jadeite plays with time, making people think they're being late all the time and lose strength,
while in fact they wake up, go to work, etc., much earlier than need. What makes
people hurry like that are the watches & clocks sold by surprisingly low prices in a shop set up by we all know
whom. And of course, Usagi and Ami need to sort out things because they don't want to go to school two hours earlier
than usual... Now let's guess who was growling at the end of the story?
Episode 10 - Norowareta Bus! Honoo no senshi Mars toujou
Jadeite supports Shinto religion? Lots of young girls now visit the Hikawa shrine to buy talismans (and apparently to
see a handsome young man who now lives there ^^) and then go home on a bus drived by a youma... Usagi goes
to Hikawa shrine to investigate it, meets Rei for the first time, meets Jadeite face to face AGAIN and doesn't recognize
him AGAIN... then Rei the spiritual one finds out that Jadeite is guilty for girls who rode the bus disappearing... and after
telling him that, she ends up in the parallel dimension where the buses with girls are and where Usagi soon arrives...
on a bus as well... Now there's the third Senshi, Sailormars, who also fights against Jadeite.
Episode 11 - Usagi to Rei taiketsu? Yume Land no Akumu
Jadeite uses an amusement park as a method of getting energy from people,
kids in particular. Lots of them disappear in this park every day, but the handsome guardian of the "Yume Land"
manages to persuade journalists (well, almost manages ^^) that children must be disappearing on their way home, not
in the park. But Usagi-tachi are not easy to fool... at least Ami and Rei, who consider themselves too adult for going to
the park just for fun. We all know parks are for battles, ne? :P
Episode 12 - Watashi datte karega hoshii! Goukasen no wana
Youma Tetis suffers from an unrequited love to Jadeite and tries her best to help him with another plan. The two baddies
organize a romantic tour on a cruise ship where all the three Sailor Senshi somehow appear :P. Usagi... well, what do
you think Usagi does when she stumbles into a handsome captain ^^? Now TWO women are nosebleeding over Jadeite
at the same time, and what is interesting, neither one turns him on... Tetis fails everything and is killed; Queen Beryl is
absolutely mad (at Jadeite, not at the Senshi for some really weird reason) and scolds her faithful general for
losing her most loved youma... it seems that Jadeite is in a pinch now!
Onnanoko wa danketsuyo! Jadeite no saigo
Queen Beryl is very upset because of Jadeite's constant failures; even though he managed to collect a great quantity
of energy on the Earth, he never succeded in fighting the Sailor Senshi. She says that he has only one chance now - if
he kills the Senshi this time, everything will be all right, but in case of a yet another failure he's going to be put into
Eternal Sleep. Jadeite is terrified, since Eternal Sleep is considered to be one of the worst punishments imaginable!
Jadeite challenges the Senshi by making an illusionary image of himself appear in the sky above Tokyo; he says that
if they don't come to Haneda airport the next night, he'll burn the city to ashes. The girls have no choice and they arrive
at the airport, where they're attacked by the policemen (who are actually animated clay figures created by Jadeite; the
real policemen who are supposed to guard the airport are sleeping, also because of Jadeite's magic). Rei quickly
realizes that these are fake policemen, transforms and destroys them. Usagi and Ami transform as well... and this is when
they get scared, since Jadeite shows up and says that he saw them transforming and now knows their identities! After
that, he makes the airplanes move and chase the girls. The Sailor Senshi are about to be killed by the planes, but... a red
rose sticks into the ground flying right before Jadeite's face. The general is disturbed and loses control over the planes,
which stop for a while; now Jadeite has to fight Tuxedo Kamen, who came to the rescue as usual. Very soon Jadeite
succeeds in throwing Tuxedo Kamen into water and it looks like the masked hero is dead now... The Senshi start to
weep; Jadeite laughs at them, saying that girls are helpless without men. Usagi-tachi are mad and they make an angry
feminist speech that declares that Jadeite is just a little selfish chauvinist. He smirks and makes the airplanes move
again, but now Sailormercury releases the fog so that Jadeite can't see; he tries to attack Sailormoon, and while he
does that, Sailormars sticks her ofuda to his back and the planes now move after him...
Jadeite is almost ran over by his own planes, the Senshi call him a fool and attack him again... He disappears and makes
a teleportation to the Dark Kingdom where angry Queen Beryl is waiting with a punishment... Jadeite tries to talk things
out, saying that he discovered the identities of the Senshi, but the queen doesn't want to listen and Jadeite is frozen
forever...
And yeah, Tuxedo Kamen crawled out of the water eventually, safe and alive.
Cameos
Jadeite appeared in a flashback in episode 44 (the memories of the Silver Millenium); a scene with him from episode 1
was shown in the special episode between R and S seasons.
