She had shrugged and said, "It's really no big deal, I can cope with what I have."
But they had insisted, and now she's walking down a crowded side walk, looking at the buildings and such. They'd finished shopping hours ago, and she's getting tiered of all the people. She'd been to big cities before, though, and she can deal with it.
Suddenly, she feels someone's eyes on her. She looks at Casey and April, but they're chatting away. She casually glances around and gets a glimpse of a huge guy watching her and putting a cell phone away.
Hmm, this guy looks familiar...he's the guy who attacked me at school!
Anger rises, but she keeps it down. She wants to break this guy into several different pieces, but, instead, she nudges Casey and says in a conversational tone, "Case, you know we're bein' watched?"
Casey replies, "Yeah? By who?"
"I think it's the guy who attacked me in school," she says.
Casey casually looks over his shoulder. "Yeah, now he's fallowing us."
April chimes in, "Should I call the guys?"
Casey shrugs, "Sure, but let's lead him on a merry little chase, shall we?"
April grins, and says to Diana, "Have you been to any of the parks yet?"
Di raises an eyebrow, "Uh, no..."
Casey winks at them both, "Then let's go! I'm sure the guys would love to join us."
Di grins and says, "Well, let the chase begin!"
George had been fallowing the vague directions that the little box was giving him for nearly two hours, and is getting extemely irritated when he sees her walking with a man and a woman.
Finally!!
He takes out his cell phone, and punches in the number of the fortress.
He tells the person on the other end of the phone, "I've found her! She's with two other people: a man and a woman. The woman doesn't look like she'll be much of a problem. But the man might be. Do you have a fix on me?"
The voice on the other end answers, "Yes, should I send the reinforcements yet?"
"No, not yet, I'll call when I need them."
"Right." They both disconnect.
Now George knows that he's being tracked, so he doesn't have to call every few minutes to give his location.
He follows them on the crowded sidewalk for an hour. They seem to just be wandering around and he's getting hungry; he wishes they'd stop for some food. He glances at his watch. 6:00, great, they should be heading home.
After another half an hour, they finally stop at a diner for dinner.
At last! I was beginning to wonder if they ate.
He keeps an eye on them as he orders and then while he's eating his food.
Towards the end o the meal, the woman takes her phone out and calls someone.
After sitting and talking for another half hour, they get up and pay the check. Then the woman hugs the man and the girl and walks away.
The man and the girl start walking.
After April says goodbye to them both and wishes them luck, Casey and Di start walking in the direction of a nearby park.
Casey grins at Di when they catch sight of the turtles, and says, "NOW the fun starts!"
"Heh, heh, heh, goodie goodie goodie," she replies with sadistic enthusiasm.
Yes! Time to kick some butt!!
Casey chuckles as they walk into the park and join their friends in the shadows.
George isn't in a good mood. He'd fallowed the girl around for hours, then after figuring out she was going to the park, he called for back up. The irritation of the day and the treatment he gets from the master is finally catching up with him.
Now he can't even see where she and her friend went. He's mad.
He gives up on self control and just stands and shouts, "COME OUT, YOU BITCH, AND STOP HIDING LIKE A COWARD!"
Diana hears the guy's shouting, her eyes turn dark and she looks at her friends.
Raph's eyes are also dark with anger, he really has a soft spot for Diana.
Leo nods and they all silently surround the man.
George sees her gliding out of the shadows.
How can someone like her look so sinister?
Her eyes are just pits of darkness, and there are shadows under her cheekbones. In fact, most of her face is obscured with shadows. She seems to float.
Then he notices the other five figures surrounding him. They're all male and extremely muscular.
This is not good...
Diana looks at the big guy from shadow shrouded eyes. She has no idea of how she looks, but the man goes really pale when he sees her and even paler somehow when he sees her friends.
She says in the scariest voice she can manage, "What do you want? And please don't call me a bitch."
He just stands there with an incredibly terrified look on his face, but then he grins.
She keeps a poker face and quickly glances around her, sensing others showing up.
With an evil grin, the guy says, "You'll find out."
She hears Mikey comment, "Uh...guys, I think we're surrounded."
Then Raph responds dryly, "Well, I was wondering where the party was."
The guy's evil grin only grows.
George grins.
The calvary has arrived.
Then he shouts out one word, "Attack!"
