Chapter Eighteen

When the door falls open, what Raph sees chills his bones and boils his blood, as it did to his brother's.

The Dark Master is in the process of trying to beat Diana into submission using a iron club, obviously made for just that sort of purpose. When she'd start to slip into unconsciousness, he would grab her cruelly, leaving more bruises to wake her up again. She's crying and screaming when she's conscious, unable to hold the pain back.

"BASTARD!!!" Raph screams, unsheathing Diana's sword, barely even thinking about it and slashing at the Dark Master's back.

The Dark Master laughs at Diana's suffering, when he hears the shouting behind him.

Before he can turn he feels a searing pain across his back. He screams and disappears.

Raph blinks, freezing and spreading his senses, trying to detect the Dark One, as does Leo.

There's nothing but silence, except for Diana's sobs of pain and humiliation.

Raph rushes over to Diana, cringing at the site of her wounds. She turns her head to the side, ashamed to have them see her like this.

"Diana...don't worry, hon...we'll get ya outa here...stay still while Leo takes care of those chains," he whispers to her, gently stroking her sweat soaked hair.

Diana nods, not even able to think, spread-eagled across the bed, staying still as Leo chops the chains off of her wrists and ankles. She automatically rubs her wrists as soon as they're free and sits up.

"C'mon...let's get her outa here," Raph says softly, picking Diana up in his arms and wrapping her body in a blanket.

"Uh...guys..." Diana says softly.

"Yes, Diana?" Leo answers, Raph looking down at her.

"I...think you can put me down...please give me my sword?" she says softly.

Raph gently sets Diana down on the bed and hands her her sword, sharing a look with Leo, wondering what she has in mind.

Diana takes her sword, gently bowing to Raph and Leo, before shoving herself to her feet, the blankets draped around her battered body. She holds the sword before her, as if she was going to take up a defensive stance.

Before anyone can say anything or even think, Diana starts to glow with some supernatural glow, spreading through her hands and arms from the sword.

"Diana, what the hell is happening to you?" Raph asks in a hushed, awed voice.

She doesn't hear him, being deafened by the sudden wind that whips through the room, twirling furiously around her, lifting her glowing form into the air, her hair fanned around her head like a fiery aura.

With a sudden flash of light, she's gently lowered to the floor, landing gracefully on her feet, seemingly uninjured.

When the blanket flutters to the ground, Leo and Raph see that she's no longer nude, but is instead wearing what appears to be silver armor.

She looks like somthin' outa some fantasy movie, Raph thinks to himself, as the glow slowly fades.

"...Diana? Is that you?" Leo asks after a few moments of silence.

"It would appear so," she responds softly.

"Yeah, who were ya expectin''? The Lady O' Th' Lake?" Raph asks with a smirk.

"King Arthur, Raph?" Leo asks, arching an eye ridge.

"I ain't totally uncultured, y'know, Leo."

"Yeah, just mostly," Leo smirks.

"Ok, guys," comes Don's harried voice from the radios Leo and Raph have clipped to their belts, "they're on to us...move your BUTTS!"

"Sounds like our cue to beat it," Leo comments.

"Small problem."

"What is it, Diana?"

"That," Diana answers Raph's question, pointing to the guards starting to pore in.

"I see your point," Leo says, unsheathing his swords as Raph does his sai and Diana does with her sword.

"We give you a choice! Give in to the mighty Dark Master's wants or perish at the elite guards' blades," the head guard says, obviously meaning to say more about how scary he and the rest of his group was, but getting interrupted with a shirukin to his throat.

"That answer yer question?" Raph asks as the man grasps at his throat and falls to the ground.

"Guess so," Diana comments as guards begin attacking the group.

Leo moves with practiced, disciplined skill, smoothly moving from block to strike as water flows through a river, steadily beating his opponents back.

Raph also moves with the same discipline and skill, though, while smooth, his movements are more wild. As his now bloodied sai are moved through the air, the light glints off of them, making him seem even more fire-like.

Diana, in contrast to the two ninja, moves more like a ballet dancer, spinning and sliding out of the opponents' strikes and slicing them with her sword, or striking pressure points to take them out without killing or hurting them to badly.

Soon the pathway to the door is clear, and the two turtles and the young woman all head out.

"Yo, Donnie," Raph's voice comes from the radio.

"Mike here, Red and Blue leaders, Don's busy at the moment," Mike answers.

"Mikey, where's Don?" Leo asks via radio.

"He's playing with the computers, messing with these clowns' heads while I keep watch. I musta taken out at least 30 of these goons already!"

"Ok, we have Diana here with us, we gotta get outa this dump. Think you two can meet us on the roof?"

"Roger wilcox, Blue Leader."

"You've been spending to much time in the arcade, bro."

"One can NEVER spend to much time in an arcade."

"Um, right, whatever, Mike. See you in an hour."

"Roger bro, over and out."
