God's Beauty:
Phantom of Darkness

Dracula
And The Rest Of 'Em

I've been interested in vampires since 5th grade. I had looked at a few websites then and was surprised and how dark they could be. Now I love it! Of course, now I actually have an appreciation for dark things. *coughmecough* (Yeah, I'm an egomaniac. Ya wanna make somethin' of it?!) Sooo, I read Dracula and thought it was good. *coughHelsing suxcough* So here's just a bunch of unorganized vampire stuff. (It's unorganized because I just got out of final exams---I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE PURPOSEFUL NEATNESS!) Have fun! Oh, and don't drink the blood off the floor. It's a bit sticky, so unless you want your face trampled on I'd follow my advise.

My Opinion of Dracula

Some parts are so suspensefull you won't even care if your house is on fire, but then again some parts make you wish your house was on fire. The writing, of course, is wonderful, but Van Helsing's speeches are so long you start to wonder if he thinks he's immortal himself! Ah, but he is German. As long as he's German I love him. Speaking of German, Bram Stoker certainly gave his speech ability that of a German's (I take the language, so I should know).

All in all, I suggest everyone read it. After all, what good is a spoof if you don't know what happens in the original text?

Dracula Spoofs

Dracula: Dead And Loving It - Mel Brooks. Need I say more? Some of the characters are messed up though. Renfield is hilarious!

Night of Dracula - A book by Christopher Schildt, with and intro by Bela Lugosi Jr. Characters are slightly messed up here, too, with some character additions and plot additions. Renfield inside jokes from Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Hehehe!

The Silver Kiss - I'm too tired to write anything bold cuz I just finished a stupid essay for English. But I will say that I find this better than other books the author's written. I...am too lazy to look up her name. Well, this book has almost everything, and I mean it.

My Vampires (and others')

I suppose my vampires can be found on my Phantom page. There's only one or two vampires (some werecats, too), but they only appeared a couple months ago. They aren't really organized either, and haven't done much because most of the people in my head spend their time sleeping (gee, I wonder where they get that idea).

Some Quotes

I come by these really cool dark quotes in books or whatever and never write them down, so here I am! If you want quotes from the actual Dracula book, READ IT YOURSELF!!!

"Dracula is the poet of pain and suffering; not of life, but of death. In his existence there is only the movement of shadows---the faces and sins of his past, hurrying about him, whispering faintly in his ear, 'We are dead!' "
-From Night of Dracula by Christopher Schildt, chapter 15, page 98 from Pocket Books Publishing.-

"Was it, he asked himself, her beauty which made her dead? Or was it death which made her so beautiful?"
-From The Man Who Was Poe by Avi, chapter 7, page 67, from Avon Flare Books.

Quote Disclaimer: Copyright laws confuse me, so I'm putting this here just in case. Ok, these quotes are just for fun. Like giving my audience a "taste" of me (ha ha). To avoid any bad press (*sarcastic* IS there such a thing?) I put down the publishing company of the book I got the quote from. I don't know if that actually does anything, but it's good to be prepared. Anyhoo, I think it's better to just write the quote instead of telling people to read the whole book and still be clueless of what I'm talking about (because EVERYONE knows I have a weird mind). Who knows, they might see the quote and be inspired to read the book! Well, I know you can't judge a book by it's cover/quote, but the way I see it is: if we're not supposed to judge a book by its cover THEN WHY DO THEY PUT PICTURES ON BOOK COVERS IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!?!

Book Cover Disclaimer: I know, that what I just said goes against everything this site stands for, but...you see...I was talking about BOOKS. Humans are completely different. In fact, humans are COMPLETELY STUPID!
