Pontiac 428
this is it, im taking out the low output 400, and replacing it with this high out put 428. ill start off by metioning some history behind this motor. the 428 was introduced in 1967, there were two versions of the 428 this year, both were put in fullsized cars. in 1968 there were also 2 versions of the 428, both with differant horsepower ratings like in 67. 68 was the second and last year of the 428, making it a very rare motor.
here is my list of parts i have for the motor
edlebrock performer rpm Manifold
#670 Heads, Rebuilt and ported
comp cam 490 lift, 270 Duration
Hooker Headers
Roller Rockers
Edlebrock 800cfm Thunder series carburator
Below are the speculated Dyno sheets for the 428. The 3 sheets are as follows. the 428 as it is now, and one showing how much hp it will have with a edlebrock torquer manifold, rollercam, and nos 100 shot fogger system.
