This panel is part of what is left of 90531, which was registered as N2276V and stored for many years at Tucson IAP, AZ. The plane was cut up in Feb 2001, and its remnants consist of the upper forward fuselage (crew relief area and cockpit), in two pieces. Courtesy G. W. Newman, Jr., 2000.
My references include U.S. Military Aircraft Designations and Serials since 1909, compiled by John M. Andrade (ISBN 0904597) and History of the Warner Robins Air Material Area, 1 July 1971 - 30 June 1972. Part I: Weapon Systems, C-133 Cargomaster, 1953-1971. Original list derived from one maintained by Carl Pettypiece and Steven Tobey. Further amplification (shown in italics) comes from Weenie Wagon at Work, by Peter J. Bish, in Propliner, July-Sep 1982. Also, for these and any other military serial numbers, an absolute MUST is Joe Baugher's site. Most recently, Nick Modders copied aircraft data cards at the Air Force Historical Research Agency, and found good dates for Air Force delivery and for retirement. Retirement date is taken as the first date shown for being at Davis-Monthan AFB.
