Match Report
Celtic 5 - 0 Dundee

Celtic Head Coach Dr Josef Venglos has indicated that he may be leaving Parkhead at the end of this season. The 63 year old Slovakian hinted after Celtic's 5-0 demolition of Dundee that he may exersize an option to leave at the end of this season for health reasons. It is thought that Dr Jo has high blood pressure and sees the high pressure position at Celtic Park as being incompatible with such a medical condition. Celtic, however are hopeful that after the results of a medical checkout that Dr Jo may be persuaded to stay at least for next year in order to more effectively hand over the reigns. This would appear to exclude Wim Jansen from Celtic's shortlist as he would require little guidance in taking over a job he has already held. Martin O'Neil is beleived to be the primary target for Alan McDonald, Celtic's new Chief Executive.

Fergus McCann's reign at Celtic Park came to an end last week, as promised five years after his takeover. McCann had to leave the country before the end of the financial year to avoid being hit by a massive £15 million tax bill. McCann whatever his critic might say has undeniably left Celtic FC in a far better state than he found it and I hope I speak for all Celtic fans when I express my profound gratitude for all his endeavour.

Henrik Larsson has as yet still failed to sign the four year contract being offered by Celtic. It was suggested that Fergus McCann wanted the Larsson contract cleared up by the time he left the club. However as Fergus left Scotland on Sunday it appears this ambition was not realised.

Celtic have cut to six points Rangers lead at the top of the SPL. Celtic comfortably disposed of Dundee whilst Rangers slipt up for the second week running losing 3-1 to St Johnstone at McDiarmed Park. The pressure is definately on Rangers now, another slip before the Old Fim meeting on May 2nd would allow Celtic to overtake the Ibrox side were they to win the game.

Worrying news emerging from the Scotland national camp is that Craig Brown is going to insist all players be avialble for Scotland's friendly against Germany only three days before the Celtic - Rangers game. Rangers will be rubbing their hands with glee as only Neil McCann will be playing from their squad whereas Celtic can expect to lose Burley, Lambert, Gould, McNamara and Boyd. Not the best preperation for what appears likely to be a real title decider.
