Livebearers

As the name suggests, the livebearing aquarium fish don't lay eggs like most other fishes, but instead they give birth to live offspring. There are many colorful wild forms of livebearers as well as many varieties that are cultivated. Through selective breeding in the cultivated varieties their colors and fin shapes have been altered to create some special effects.
