NCO AIDE MEMOIRE PAGE 11 1101. RESPONSIBILITIES AS PER POSITION:
NCO IC of the unit. He/she is responsible for everything that happens in the squadron. He/she is responsible for all the NCOs Cadets and Recruits. He/she will ensure that all NCOs meet the appropriate standard for the unit, and that all NCOs fulfill all the duties assigned to them. The Squadron Commander is the liaison between the Cadets and the officers.
NCO 2IC of the unit. He/she is the NCO IC during any absence of the Squadron commander. He/she is responsible for all training and instructors. The Squadron Deputy Commander is directly responsible for all the NCOs. He/she takes the orders from the Squadron Commander, and turns them into action via the NCOs. He/she will ensure that all instructors are prepared for every class, and that the Cadets receive the correct training. He/she will also supervise the activities on the parade square.
All remaining Warrant Officers are responsible for the well being of all the Cadets and NCOs below them. The Warrant Officers will assist with any training or drill. The Warrant Officers will be expected to plan and run various squadron activities.
NCO 3IC of the unit. He/she is responsible for the parade square. He/she will ensure that all personnel are on the parade square at the appropriate time. He/she will also ensure that parade positions are on time, or make other arrangements. He/she is responsible for making sure that the parade runs on time.
Flight Commanders are directly responsible for the flight in which they command. The Flight Commanders are to ensure that all NCOs in their flight are fulfilling all their assigned duties. He/she is also responsible for the actions of all the Cadets under their command, and will report any and all discipline problems to a Warrant Officer immediately. It is the responsibility of the Flight Commander to ensure that all the Cadets in the flight are phoned each week and are aware of all upcoming events. The Flight Commander is also responsible for the standard of dress and deportment in his/her flight.
