March 14, 2000So it's one more final for tomorrow. I'm not really studying for it. I'm not sure if it's because I know the material or if I just don't feel like it. I've been paying attention much better during the last few weeks, so the answer really is up in the air.Anyways, things here have been much better since I wrote. I spent the whole Sunday over at Wilson's. And it was fun! Nevermind that we had to work on that damned salmon project, which kicks ass!. I managed to drag myself over there before noon, after going to bed at like, 4am. :P I've been on the hunt for some chat friends. The ones I have, we never seem to be on at the same time, you know? When you got a taste for some chat and there's no one around, it's frustrating, you know? But I've been going into Yahoo more often with the help of cheeta...it's much faster to load and it's just fast all around. Plus, you can mess with fonts and have avatars. Sometimes I don't even know why I bother. For one, if I decide to go into a Seattle room, everyone is looking for a hook up. Late Saturday night I had two invitations 1) to go to the Denny's on the Ave and 2) to go over to his place. Oh whatever! It's definitely hard to find someone to just have some really good conversation with. I had been talking with this one guy for a few weeks, for a few minutes each time, but at least the conversation didn't stall. So I saw him again that night and he just kind of left me. The following morning I asked what happened...and you know what he said? He said he put me on ignore because I wasn't single. Okay, there are many different ways of approaching this. But I will just say that he didn't have to be a pissant about it! No matter though, he was a big dork. :P Going back to Sunday: It was a good day. Wilson and I worked on our project until NBA on NBC came on @ 3pm. So then I went over to Jim's so that we could work on his page a little. I couldn't do more than just grammatical errors, but don't discount that! :) I couldn't help more especially since I haven't worked with university accounts. We were all getting hungry, so dinner was coming! Of course Wilson and his friend Adam were STILL watching the game, so they were out. It was me, Jim, Mike, and Jim's roommate Dan. We decided on Red Robin and WALKED there. Man, that is a far walk. I actually enjoyed it going there but afterwards, I really didn't want to walk. Oh well! I try not to think about it. ;) When I returned to Wilson's room he had his part of the paper done. Wee! We changed our essay into a newsletter and it's coo. So then I sat and proofread everything and made sure it was perfect when we printed, even though a small error still snuck in. But by that time, even I stopped caring about it. Then we watched television until 10pm when he took me home. It was a good day, though I hardly studied for my cognitive final for Monday! When I got home, I finished reading my notes and I gave up and went to bed @ 1am. Monday: I woke up nice and early and showed up to the room even earlier. I was getting some last-minute reading done, but then that girl who I've been talking to? (Hey I know her name, I saw it off one of her papers, but Eh. Does it matter now?) So she showed up, sat next to me, and started talking to me. ARGH! I was trying to use the last few minutes I had to read, but she was just yapping away. Every time she'd stop I'd start reading, but then she started again. Geez. At least she didn't bring up the Classics book, right? ;) The exam was much easier than the previous midterms. I finished it in an hour and the girl waited for me outside! There, she asked for my email and I spelled it out to her, I don't think she'll remember though. But I do think she'll use that as a way of communication and getting me to lend her my book! So then I went to sell my book back and I got $20 for it. I think I paid over $50. No matta. :P I decided to treat myself and I bought a journal by 2 Grrrls. It's cutesy, but it makes me laugh. It has a mirror in the front and the cover reads: Hello Gorgeous! Then the inside: You look Marvelous! Definitely worth the ten bucks. However I can't begin writing in it until I finish my old one. I'm so behind on that one; it should have been long finished months ago! I just stopped writing because...well, I'm not sure why...I just kind of stopped. But now I want to start again. It certainly helped me these past few weeks when I was under a LOT of stress. Then I went home and I think I was online messing around or something. I called Annie who wasn't there but returned my call when she got home. She had two back-to-back finals! Ouch! But then Wilson called me, so then I had him 3-way everyone and we talked a little. He and I made plans on Sunday to go to McDonald's for those 89-cents chicken mcnuggets! We've been slacking on that, I remember when it first started, we went two or three Mondays in a row. *G* Jim also came along and we just ate and talked. I already had lunch though, so I wasn't very hungry. Afterwards, they dropped me off since I had to do some more reading. But we did talk about Annie and me going over there later that night. I didn't call her until the evening since I wasn't sure when she was done with her nap. So we talked for a while and tried to contact Wilson but he wasn't home! I didn't really understand why he wasn't since we talked about it already and stuff. But you know why? He was on duty! He neglected to tell me that when we had lunch earlier! Silly boy! So that meant he wasn't gonna be in for the evening. Annie and I weren't sure of what to do, so I just went over there. Domingo had a craving for deviled eggs so he was making some. Annie and I watched television and when he was done we ate WAY too many eggs! I don't even know why I did that to myself. :P We watched "Pretty Woman" and it was alright. It was made a long time ago though! I remember watching at a slumber birthday party in GRADE school. Anyways, so we were laying around looking for something to watch but there wasn't anything, so she took me home around midnight. As she drove off, her car hit something or something made a weird noise, so I walked towards the street. I couldn't see anything so I turned around and Darryl and Number 3 were outside talking! At this hour?! They also heard the noise and said she prolly ran over a treebranch or something. But it was kind of weird that they were out so late and I didn't notice they were there earlier and stuff. I finished up my reading for 209, I was behind though. I wanted to make my notes that day too, but I was just tired. So I went to bed. Today is Tuesday. I suppose I should be more anxious about my exam, but I'm not. I'm feeling the same way I did with 355. Who carez! I started my notes and I need to fatten them up more by going through my lecture notes and then book. I should be done by evening. Then the rest of the time can be spent reviewing! I'm sure Buffy is a rerun tonight but that doesn't stop me from watching. I wish we had cable again! I've been looking around online for more journals (or whatever you prefer to call them) to read. The ones I have bookmarked, about a dozen of them, they were doing well with updating frequently but lately I haven't read anything! So I've been going into archives and whotnot and now I'm doing a search for some entirely new ones! It's really hard to find something that I like. It needs to be easy to read, none too deep or depressing, good page format (but not difficult for my puter to load), and I'd like to "know" something about the writer. Some people try too hard to stay anonymous and that gets really annoying. :P Lar's gone to study with some guy for linear algebra, so I'm home alone. It's good though since he distracts me too much. :) My final is @ 9.30am tomorrow morning. It is weighted the same as my midterms so I'm not too worried, however, I cannot miss more than 8! Even less, because I don't know how my paper turned out. Ayeee. I'll be going home this weekend at night with my sister. We'll stay the whole weekend and then I'm on break. I made a deal with this guy for his Classics books so I need to go and get them. Fifty bucks! But if I bought them thru the school, it would have been $75. So I'm happy. I think he got the better end of the deal though, since I wanted to do an average of used prices with buy-back value. I'm sure a few of those story books would fetch a dollar or two. But eh! Lar mentioned that we could go "wherever I want" for spring break. He's so nice to me, but I have no idea where I would want to go. Speaking of travel, his car's mileage is: 123456.7!!! How cool is that, we took pictures. *LOL* Have no idea of where to go. I do want to get away from this shitty weather. I'm helping my sister move the weekend before school starts. I'm getting her coffeetable and futon pad! And also, it's time for the BED! Lar did talk to someone about a used metal queen bed, but right now I'm just like: To hell with it, let's go to IKEA! Who knows. It's time for spring cleaning too. Lord knows this place needs it, it looks like a paper tornado went through here. PS: I do have a free ticket to see "Erin Brockovich" tonight but only one. Lar doesn't have the time to go even if I had two. So do I go by myself? I suppose I should just stay inside because it's really wet and cold out there and I'd be by myself and stuff. Who likes going to movies alone? March 19, 2000Well, first off I must open this entry but telling everyone that I got a 4.0 in Communications 343! Isn't that wonderful?! I actually tried, and earned this baby. I'm so freaking happy that I can hardly sit still to write but I wanted to, since it was a pretty good weekend.But I should go over what happened at the end of last week: Wednesday: The day of my final final! I told myself that I would wake up with Larry and study that extra hour (since he was getting up for an 8.30 final), but that didn't happen. So then I told myself to get up when he leaves for his final..I managed to do that. It would really suck if I slept thru a final! I got there early and stuff and read my notes. I like doing that because an exam question always pops up on something I had just read! I'm not sure how I feel about the exam, because by then I had stopped caring. :P Lar and I talked about meeting at the flagpole after our exams, but I was so sure he forgot about me. So I sat there and waited and froze my ass. After a while I decided to get up and stand outside his building for a bit and there he was! He was talking with another guy about their final...can I say math dorks! *LOL* But it was funny though: "Man, they made us find the inverse of a 4 x 4 matrix...Sure, it was just 1 and -1 but I still got it wrong." *heh* He and I went on the Ave to sell back some books and look around. We bought some cheap soap at Bartell's, but I forgot to look at the popcorn (*winks @ erin*). Afterwards, I wanted to eat at China First, but they weren't opened? I think they were just too slow on the draw, so we went to Little Thai instead. It was GOO. At night I got SO BORED though. Is this how my break is gonna be? just boredom? I went online @ 9pm and talked to some friends so that was nice. :) Thursday: I tried to call Jim before he went home for break but I missed him. But tonight was when we were all gonna have dinner at Spaghetti Factory. I was soooo excited especially after Wednesday's boringness. Dinner was good. It was me, Annie, Wilson, and Nelson. The service wasn't all that great though. And every time I was bad-mouthing our waiter he showed up behind me. D'oh well! *shrug* *L* It was fun. Afterwards, Annie and Nelson rented "Eyes Wide Shut" but since Weese and I saw it we just went home. S'coo. Friday: Lar and I went to the museum! But the suck thing about it was that it wasn't that great. I'm just glad that we didn't pay. They didn't have enough BONES der! It was raining like HELL though, so it was good "shelter from the storm." Before that though, Larry got his haircut! *ROWR* We just hung out until my sister came for me around 6pm. I made arrangements with that book guy to meet him at 6.30pm. We got there early so we were in the library, but then I saw someone waiting at the spot. So we're walking there. From the way he was standing (leaning agaist the wall with one foot propped and bent at the knee) I thought he was a freak! Then my sister added that she could tell he had a ponytail from here, so then he was a bigger freak! And when I met him, he was a freak. But whatever. I'm just glad I thought about bringing a bag with me because he just had his backpack and there was no deal about a backpack. :P So I got his books and he got my $50, it still was a good deal. Then we went home. I drove and it was pure joy. There was only one hold-up at Lakewood but that lasted only a few minutes. Got home by 8pm and just hung out with the rents. I considered calling Larry but I figured he would be online and I couldn't get through. We were watching Leno who had Enrique Elasias on as musical guest. While he was singing, some woman just went up there and tackled him around the middle. He still tried to sing until security pulled her off. A few seconds later and second woman came up there and he let her stay up there with him, while she was freaking out. I thought it was hilarious! Some people..can you imagine? They were just sitting there and just couldn't contain themselves so they threw themselves up there. *L* Crazy. Saturday: My sister and I caught a matinee of Final Destination. After reading this review I didn't think it was that bad! *LOL* It was fun though. I thought it was amusing how Kerr Smith..Andie's gay brother on Dawson's was acting an exact opposite character in the movie. Okay so maybe only *I* think it's interesting. We went downtown and I bought one of those wooden, jointed cats...that just sit on the end of things? He was a steal for a dollar, just because his limbs weren't attached! Even if I didn't want him I had to save him and put him back together, you know? I worked on him with my dad and we put him together. I call him "Roger." And he's happily sitting on top of our VCR now. :) Then I went over to Annie's, where Brian and Allan were. Jennifer and Josh showed up a bit later. We all went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner. It wasn't all that great, but it was nice to be sitting there. And I'm surprised that Brian stayed through everything! Afterwards, J&J went home and the rest of us rented "Runaway Bride." It was cute, but running a little long for me...only because it was nearing 2am. Sunday: I woke up early at 9am. My sister and I watched movies on TBS and both fell asleep during "Grease." Don't worry, of course we've seen it many times before. We set off around 3pm. Called various stupid drivers "bitches" and laughed. *LOL* Picked her friend up at the airport, she's very nice. And then took me home. Larry was hanging all over me when I got back because he's a monkey. But he looks so good with that short hair. *ROWR ROWR* That was my weekend for ya. My sister and I talked about going to San Diego to visit her friend Todd there. I think it would be fun if I went along. We may go to Seaworld! I got my hair trimmed a few inches this morning too. Larry thinks it's too short, but it's still somewhere in the middle of my back. It makes my hair curl very nicely though, so I'm happy. :) I smell like barbeque! Talk to you guys later! :DDDDDDD March 24, 2000So once again, I forgot to mention something in my last update!When my sister and I went to see "Final Destination," we were carded...twice! First as we were getting the tickets. The girl kind of acted shocked at our movie selection and asked how old we were. Afterwards, she was satisfied with our answers and we went on. Then when we were attempting to enter the movie room, we were carded..and I had to take out my ID to show her. But I was holding a big drink in one hand, so I just slammed my wallet on the counter and undid the button so we should see. Geesh! Anyways, so I figured I better update since school is around the corner! First I must plug Gator! I d'loaded to earn some points on Memolink, but lately I've found it to be useful! It remembers all your info, addresses, credit card numbers, and logins! A reminder pops up when you first go to a login site and it just remembers it from then on. Pretty cool, so now I won't have to dig the passwords out of my desk when I go into an account that I've long forgotten. Since I'm typing this offline and can't remember how far my last update went to, I'm just gonna start with a few days ago. Well, after receiving all my grades...I think I'm on Dean's List. Woo hoo! Lar and I just hung around the beginning of the week. I had to go home and see Annie, so I went home Wednesday night. The drive home was something I needed to do because I honestly felt really stressed and I couldn't break anything. I got home and just watched television until I got bored. I went online til I was bored..and then I just went to sleep around 2am. The next morning (Thursday) I woke up at 11am, only because I made myself. I had a lot to do today and I couldn't just sleep the day away. I called my mom to see if she wanted me to do anything for her. Luckily she didn't. So I was watching some morning talk shows before I started my errands. Have you seen the Ainsley Harriet show? That's one crazy show. I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was just amusing. But I thought it was interesting how they were making tofu and I had some for dinner the night before. I called Annie, who sounded good, and we talked for a while. When it was about 1pm, I left the house. I really only had two major stops today. I had to go to Mervyn's to buy some shirts. Just basic ones, they had square or v neck, short-sleeved shirts. They were only $7! I've been wearing my other shirts a lot lately, so I figured I had better get more. They had mostly 'spring' colors, and I had to keep myself from purchasing all black! I got dark blue and a lighter one. They're okay. Then I went across the parking lot to Riteaid. I bought some Liquid Plumber and some bug spray. I was looking around for this lip gloss but couldn't find it. I was interested in some nail polish but they had better prices at Kmart, which I didn't go to. Then I went to see Annie. We saw the end of Passions and then watched some random tv until her dad wanted to see his cartoons @ 4pm! I thought it was hilarious because it was Beast Transformers, or something like that, and he really wanted to watch it! *heh* So we went into her former room and watched some other stuff and I left around 5pm. I went to Ross because I needed more clothes and since my mom wanted me to use this voucher she had. I looked around and found a few things, but upon trying them out, I left with two things: a pretty red shirt with black pattern and a black cardigan. I was still happy anyways. As I was leaving, I almost backed into a car behind me. The woman in passenger gave me a dirty look. Hey, I did stop, beeeyatch! *L* Got home, had dinner, and then I left for Seattle. I was driving along good but then I decided to stop off at Planet Burrito. I haven't been there in ages. And I swear the person who made my burritos was 14! He was tiny! He was very impressed that I was going for the "hottest sauce." He made them kind of small but that's okay they tasted good. Okay I'm back online and I didn't tell you the rest of my grades! Psych209 3.1 / Psych355 3.4 / CMU 4.0, which you knew about. So my quarterly average is a 3.53. I think that's enough for Dean's List. Me happy. This quarter raised my cumulative GPA to 3.08, pretty good considering how many credits I have. :D Lar and I hung out and later went to Dick's for food, where these two very interesting men talked to us. It was really strange, I wasn't even sure I was there. *L* They gave us these coasters for some reason. *LOL* We watched "Billy Madison" and then feel asleep. Today we did a lot of stuff. I slept until about noon and then by 2.30 we left for the International District. We went to Uwijimaya and it wasn't AS coo as I remembered (Don't you hate it when that happens?) but we bought lots of candy and other snacks. The total was about $16! Whatever, it's good stuff. We looked around for somewhere to have lunch and ended up back at Top Gun, where I ate several Fridays ago with Weese, Jim, and Mike. There wasn't anyone else there but our service was shitty. We ordered wanton soup and lemon chicken with sauce on the SIDE. Everything was so good and I ate a LOT of that hot paste. *G* Then we walked to the store where I bought those rolling paper stars, but they didn't have the same package I got last time. I just bought a few cheap-o packs...I mean, they're only strips of paper, I can make my own, you know? Rode the bus home and went to Off-campus so I could buy my book. I guess they got their act together by this quarter cuz last quarter when Lar bought his books they 1) gave him a 10% discount for his student ID. 2) the books that didn't have a price, they just guestimate the value. I picked a nice copy that didn't have the price on it, but of horse he found it. And when he rung me up, I asked about the student discount and he said it was 5% for books and 10% for supplies. Grrrrrr! But he was nice and everything. So it was okay. :) We went to the "junky store" to get some chairs but we didn't like them, so we went home. We were talking about going to Goodwill and such, but that didn't happen. So we laid and looked thru the things we bought. Tried to call the bed lady but she wasn't around. So we're getting a bed! And Lar went to look at it yesterday, said it was alright. She even found a friend to deliver it to us. And with the money we're saving, we can definitely get a new puter in the next months or so. I'm excited. *!!* Anyhow, so then Lar brought up going to see this girl he knows..cuz they kind of made plans for tonight but he had to see what was going on and stuff. That was fine since I had dinner (I hadn't eaten my burrito yet), and he needed food..so then they would go and have a late dinner or something. Besides, he told her she could borrow one of his books for school. So he went off to do that, I just sat online messing around. He returned and we went out to do stuff. Tried to rent a movie but we couldn't decide on anything. Then we bought more juice from Safeway, but I had to wait like 30mins for him to read this magazine! But we did buy daffodils and a shamrock plant. *G* And once again I'm here online, looking for someone to talk to. And why do I torture myself by going into Yahoo to talk to freaks? I just don't know. I never learn, I guess. Lar and I are supposed to DO something this weekend. Like, go somewhere that's a fair distance away, but we have no idea. And if we can't think of anything, then he's going to play poker with his friends. So now there's all this pressure. :P~ I hope we do do something because we don't have anymore spring break after this weekend! But foist I need to help my sister move ONCE AGAIN. Hopefully she will stay here for a longer period of time. I'll be up at 10am tomorrow! And by the time I get back Lar will still be sleeping. But maybe by then I'll have some ideas about what we should do. So I'm looking forward to it. I'm getting her coffeetable and her futon pad...things are falling into place! I must mention that I'm a freak when it comes to music. I can listen to Creed's "Higher" forever and ever. And it's really scaring me how much I actually LIKE N*sync's "Bye bye bye." Someone just shoot me since hell has obviously frozen! *G* Dunno what I think about going back to school. I suppose it's about time, but there are still a lot of things I want to do! I need to finish up my school apps and then I'll be sitting pretty. :) PS: What do you think of this color scheme? I'm thinking of keeping this background constant, unless I find a background I MUST use, then I will. But otherwise, I won't rip my hair out looking for new stuffs to put here and I'll just keep this kay? Thankaaa. <<<< ^ >>>> |
