December 29, 1999okay well, i've been back for a few days now i just didn't want to face the big task of having to do an update about my days spent at home, xmas, etc. :P but here i am..i'm doing it now.well, so thursday morning i took lar and jim to the airport. we had breakfast at burger king. and i guess we didn't have nearly as much time as i thought because next thing we're doing is running from D7 to B7. lar's flight was leaving @ 8.40 and it was 8.35 by the time we got to the gate. eek! he was definitely the last one on the plane and that obviously didn't leave us any time for goodbyes. so that was a bit strange. i awkwardly stood there until i couldn't see him any longer and then i decided to go rather than stick around to wait for the plane to move. *shrug* i got home pretty early, by 9, i think. and i looked like hell! my hair was all fly-aways. geez, i wish someone would have told me. ;P i watched talk shows all morning and finally fell asleep during my soaps! later that day i met up with annie and nelson..we were going to meet jen and josh at tops and there we were gonna go to this guy's going-away party. but the party was weird for me since i felt so "seattle" or something and that i didn't work at tops.. so annie, nelson and i left there early. we went to sharis for a late snack. i had water spilled on me by the waiter. i just watched it trickle down in my lap...while nelson sat there next to me "not caring." it finally hit me so i hit him and we both got up out of the booth. for my pains i got a free meal on waiter. i wasn't sure if i heard him correctly the first time..so i thought it would be wiser to stick with what i originally planned. annie had to work early, so we just went home. but we had plans with wilson the next day to meet up with him at IKEA. then on friday i just waited for until we could leave. *L* it was just annie and me since jen had other things to do. IKEA is *FAR* i've never been to one and it was just like i thought it would be. pretty coo. i didn't start missing weese yet cuz i had just seen him the morning before. *L* i ended up getting a blue waste basket, utensil thingie...a cutting board and some picture frames. we were then hungry..but it took us like four different places to get food! first we went to black angus, which was too expensive. and then we went to this asian market, that had a few restaurants inside...and we didn't like any of them. so then we went to grumpy's (which annie and i had wanted to go to in the beginning) but IT was closed. then we went to roundtable pizza and didn't like anything there either......so then we just walked to qizno's for some pretty good sandwiches! after food it was time to say good bye to weese. annie and i weren't quite done yet cuz we went to the super mall..which isn't so super. *haw haw* we just looked around half-heartedly..we were both pretty tired. got home by 8? and then just stayed in. saturday wasn't much. i went shopping with mom and picked up two things, only because she put them in front of me. :P but then sunday was TUBA CHRISTMAS! i went to tuba christmas two years ago when i had michelle with me. so it was cool to go again this year. and it was just okay... i mean it was hard to listen to because the sound waves kept bouncing back and forth. also, whenever the guy would talk no one could hear him. *shrug* but it was still nice to get out for a little. afterwards we went to goodwill, where i found nelson his suit. he wanted to get a suit for all the smokey bars he plays in. and i found it! ha! then annie and i went to mervyn's to look around but i couldn't find anything i wanted to buy..and i had dinner with her and her family since my parents were at seattle for the day. it was funny though..they left for seattle with me playing on the floor and when they came back i was in that same position! they really thought i had been laying there ALL DAY. but no, i did a lot in that time. :) monday i just spent at home. that's when i got SICK too. i was sick for about 4 days. it really sucked because my mom was sick also and so she stayed home for the rest of the week! i wasn't alone for the longest time. argh..and she kept harassing me about my email and i was like: leave me alone! *d'aww* on tuesday, i had made plans to go shopping with these three sisters. i was too sick for it but i kept my promise. but foist.. i had to take my mom to do her errands...which was ANNOYING as hell since i was on my way OUT to go shopping with the girz when she called me back IN. *haw!* when i finally got to shopping with them, i was dead on my feet. luckily i didn't have to drive..but i prolly should have because she didn't take the freeway so it took about 20mins to get to the mall. *geez!* we were only there about an hour..and that was long enough! i only bought some beanies at hallmark since they were on sale. i got home and took some medicine and fell asleep. annie called me during my slumber to say 'everyone' was going to see deuce bigalow: male gigalow. and even though i shouldn't have gone..i did, because i wanted to see 'everyone.' everyone turned out to be just her and allan. the others dropped out for various reasons. that kind of sucked. had i known it was gonna be those two, i would have just stayed home...got better..and they could have been on a 'date' or something. *shrug* the movie was fine. better than i thought it would be and afterwards we were still awake so we went to sharis. and i didn't get spilled on, though it was the SAME waiter. haw! i took them home and then stayed up for a while since i was still awake. pretty boring. sleeping that night was the worst though. it was definitely the worst night. my feet and hands wouldn't get warm at all, and i'm sure i didn't sleep a wink! i was awake the whole night in misery. it really sucked! i ended up calling larry at 6am here and we talked until i fell asleep again. that was a nice change. i was able to sleep for a while longer and then went out to the living room to lay in my spot and sleep more. *heh* the 'cool' thing about the sick thing was that my parents didn't get on my case about sleeping all the time. in those sick days, i probably slept 4 times each day. and when i wasn't sleeping i was eating or else watching tv...not very good behaviour you know what i mean? but it was cool to not get harassed, especially since i WAS sick. i had my sister check grades for me. i got: cmu 3.1 / math 3.5 / music 4.0...pretty good stuffs. but since the 4.0 was for a two credit class, it obviously didn't have as much weight as the five credit courses. but at least it finally pushed me over a 3.0 gpa! i now have a 3.02...that isn't very high but you know something..i worked hard for it. and for a LONG time. so i'm glad to have it! on thursday my sister came home. and brought all her new toys... i had talked with jen about doing something with her today but she didn't seem up to it and when i called to say i was going over to annie's she wasn't home. *shrug* we didn't do much..it was me, her and allan..and we went to mervyn's to look for gifts. but i wasn't in the mood to buy anything. we then ate at jack and the box and then went back to her house where nelson and nick were waiting for us. those boys were hungry so we went back out to get food for them and then nick went home..and we went over to allan's to use his computer to check grades and email. i went home before midnight... it was a pretty slow night. on christmas eve, my mom had her mind set that we were going on a family outing to tacoma mall. (as a kid i thought tacoma mall was the best! but now that i'm older i realize it's pretty ghetto. ;P) my sister had gone out earlier to have a gift exchange with her friends at the olive garden. tacoma mall was pretty boring. just as i thought. we basically walked around and then left. i guess no one felt like shopping/looking. it was definitely weird. hard to explain. then we were back at home. my sister fell asleep behind me so by 10pm..i was feeling a bit weird so i said i was going to bed. i went online to check email and stuff..but there wasn't anything there so i went back out to check on her and she was up! so we watched some discovery channel specials and then "four weddings and a funeral." so the night turned out pretty well. christmas! we opened gifts around 11am..cuz we were waiting for betty to wake up. :P the rents got two boxed video sets, beanies, and playing cards (with fighter planes on em) from my sister and me. i got from her old navy fleece pants, socks, and a stuffed dog. i got her..a stuffed owl, i couldn't think of anything else to give her. d'aww! and here's the kicker...our parents gave us the same thing... which was twenty dollars and...BEEF JERKY. *LKMSD:FLKMWERLIWR* don't ask me where they got that idea from!! that was...definitely out of the blue. *L* i went over to annie's around 5...we made plans to go see 'man on the moon' at 7.40pm...so then we went to nelson's to talk with him since he wasn't going..then i drove us to lakewood to this nice theatre. i guess it was worth the drive up there. *shrug* then i took jen and josh to her car (left at nelson's) and i went inside annie's for a bit. she ended up giving me a floor-length mirror (something i've been wanting) and some pokemon stickers...i got her this trendy REI water bottle, with M&M's inside....and i also gave her some of my jerky..*L*..and some egg rolls. so christmas day was pretty cool..and laid back. the next morning we woke up early to go shopping. but there didn't seem to be very many sales! i was pretty disappointed at least mom got something though. but that day was my last in olympia... we did laundry and gathered my things and i was back up here by 4. it was weird but nice to be back..to be used to having small quarters again. lar called me and we talked a little bit...he would be returning the next morning. as the day turned dark... it got a little weirdER to be back..but eh..it was nothing. i was waiting for lar's call at the airport... it was a late call at 2am..i was TIRED! i woke up a few hours later to drive to the airport..the flight ended up being half an hour late..so i wasn't crazy! :P he came..we saw..and we left together. it was pretty cool how we were parked for one hour and fifty-nine minutes...almost two hours..we saved two dollars by being there at that right time, you know? then we just slept cuz we were both pretty tired. tuesday i didn't do a damn thing! i woke up at 1...and watched tv until lar came home. today was a different matter though, i woke up by 11am..and went out to buy my psych209 book..then i watched tv until lar came home. *LOL* i can't wait for school to start. i hope it doesn't suck..since i'm stuck taking cognitive psych. i also need to remember to fill out my cmu major application by the first friday of the new quarter!! and also to pay off my credit card bills..not too bad......and wait for my direct deposit!!! i'm having a bit of trouble with my pages though..since angelfire just gave us the use of directories..i seem to have messed up my URLs. bah! such hassle! if they'da done this in the beginning! :P guess that's good enough for now. i wanted to update before the new year...plans are still a-go with mike and meesh...though i haven't gotten email from that girl in about a week. lar and i need to buy a cake and ice cream for the night..and also i need to find her gift! i can't believe she's leaving so soon...awwwww...... and also it seems that all the pages i go to on a daily/weekly basis...they don't update over the holidays either! that kinna sucks..almost makes me wanna go look for other sites. but naw, i like the ones i have. :) can't wait to see their updates. ps: wanna hear my grades? i thought so. pps: thanks to all those who wished me holiday cheer..you know who you are. :DDDDDDDDD last old entry was December 15, 1999. <<<< ^ >>>> |
