May 17, 1998 - June 8, 1998
(May 17) Patience, Ellen! *LOL*
I'm back from an uneventful weekend. I got home in the afternoon on Friday and
fell asleep until 9pm. I went out with friends; we ate at Red Robin.
Nick &
I argued the whole time. What's his deal. He says some of the *stupidest*
things I've ever heard. From his mouth: I eat out of a trough. &
When they pierced my tongue, they should have put it through the roof of my
mouth so I couldn't speak. *WA eye roll* Hey, if I couldn't speak, why
then, who the hell would be aruging with him. No one! Ha! And the trough bit,
I don't know where that came from.
I spent my Saturday morning baking. Sorry, John, I didn't mail any to you.
They were to give to Anne Marie's parents because they teased me about borROWing
their baking sheet and not giving them any cookies....They didn't get any
cookies because Anne Marie, Allan, and everyone else ate them. So there.
Have you seen this?! I was home, so that meant I watched a lot of tv, namely
the Discovery Channel and various infomercials. *hehe* But! I saw a thing
on The Infinite Dress. Have you seen it?! It's a dress, but you can
alter it into 30 other dresses?! It's really weiiiiiiird. I watched the
infommerical four times over the weekend. *hehe* Just interesting, that's all.
That's it on my end. I'll be going home this holiday weekend as well, but I may
come up a day early, or something. Cheers! (;-þ)
Old entries have been moved once again. The latest addition to it was put on
May 15. So, Allan, you can stop complaining. Haw.
(May 20) Free Jeans
Cool...because there's a "jean" in my name...I can get a free pair of
Levis. WEeeeeeeeee! Free STuff!! *hehe*
Just wanted to share. This week has sucked because I didn't have to be in
English class on Monday & Wednesday...and it's a 2-hour class. Bah! I saw
my midterm score, NOT good...I'll be keeping my first midterm score. Haw.
(:-Þ) Hmmmm...astronomy is okay. I'll be going home for this holiday weekend,
but I'll probably come back up on Sunday. :-) And then it's a short week.
*hehe*
"Closing time...every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end..."
(May 25) To sleep, perchance to dream...of McDonald's
teenie beanie babies
My weekend began with the usual 12+ hour sleep on Friday. This always happens
to me: I get home, lay around the house (that's why I go home, so my parents
can just see me), and then I get tired and fall asleep and wake up very late
the following day. My sleep would have been perfect, though..but my bird kept
on getting on my nerves!! I was nice and comfy in the living room with a binkie
and my bird kept climbing up on the blanket and standing on my arm inches from
my face and just poking me!! *LOL* My mom was watching this whole thing and
was very amused. She told me the day after that the bird was actually standing
ON my glasses and nibbling on my hair and all sorts of stuff. Hey, I even
*kicked* it off my leg twice, but it kept coming back on. And a few times, it
would follow me directly from one end of the house to the other! Weird bird.
Anyhoo...I ran some errands on Saturday and bought two CDs. Wahee!!
I also started on my quest for those teenie beanie babies in the McDonalds
Happy Meals. Haw.
This quest will be futile because the dealers will have bought out all the toys.
And, this gets me. On the plastic bag holding the beanie is written not
for resale. And you *know* these dealers are just gonna sell these beanies
again for ridiculous prices. Hey, last year's beanies are worth $150, so if you
have some, well...there ya go. I was watching the news because I guess the
arrival of these beanies is big news and they were saying McDonalds is doing
better this year in accommodating the great demand. Well...yes, and no. It's
a larger shipment and they also give the dealers the option of just buying the
beanie and not the food. Last year had many people just buying the Happy Meals
and dumping the food. A waste!! Also
in the news feature was a dealer, who, with his seven children went to various
McDonalds in the Seattle area where each kid bought the maximum of ten beanies
each. It goes without saying they probably emptied out which ever McDonalds
they went to. Is that really fair? It's cheesy to say, but, "What about
the children?" These are Happy Meals, meant for children. Not grown adult
collectors. And it's just ridiculous that this tiny bean-filled thing
will fetch upwards of hundreds of dollars in the years to come. Whatever, I
want them because they're cute..nothing more. As soon as I get my hands on
the Happy Meal, out comes the beanie...outta the bag, outta the plastic. All
this after Nick says, "You know, it's worth more if it's in the bag." Haw. I
*know* okay? What's the fun in playing with a plastic bag!! *LOL*
I didn't do much on Sunday except go to my parents' friends' dinner party. It
was nice. Good food. And the kids I used to baby sit aren't as annoying as I
remembered. *hehe* And today I went back to school. I have a group presentation
tomorrow and, as far as I know, we have NOTHING...nada...zip!! Oh well. This
week will be a quick one..and then before I know it, I'll be out of school and
working and back into another school. Fu-un. (:-þ) Ooh..and I finally got my
hair cut. (Not too much, Larry. *bop*) It was like 3 inches, but since my hair's on
the long side, it doesn't show much. Now it's a few inches below my shoulders.
I didn't go shopping for Levis, like I had said, or shopping, period. Haw.
I dunno. I'll spend large amounts of money soon enough. ;-)
BTW, I did not meet up with that random guy I found off ICQ who lives in Olympia.
I didn't bring his numbers home with me, so I ended up going to Safeway. (He
works there) I mean, I went to buy groceries and stuffs, but I also looked around
for him, but he wasn't there. And, I won't be going home again until school is
out, which is three more weeks!!
(May 26) Geese aren't so bad after all
I had my group presentation on the stupid geese. (see: April 25) Our group was
the coolest one of all, considering we put it all together right before our
turn. *LOL* We're slackers!! And, they actually had some use for the notes I
gathered at 2 this morning. Cool. And these geese are okay. Methinks I spy
a good grade. *chuckles*
This, being Tuesday, I only had that one class and I spent much of today
revising an essay and working on my English homework. While chatting, of course.
*winks* But I am finished, and it looks good. :-D Weeeeeeee. *hehe* I
also re-did my
chat friends page too. *whew* Hard work. You oughta see just by
Cocoa's entry. *LOL*
Check out our two newest webring members:
Kris and
Lisa.
Thanx for joining, you two. :-D

(May 28) McDonald's Sucks!!
Supposedly McDonalds is doing better in accommodating the great demand for these
teenie beanies. They liiiiiiiiiiie!! It's like they all "run out" at the same
time. I went to three McDonalds this evening with my sister and they were all
out! Sucky suck!! I went to a McDonalds in the afternoon, and they had a sign
out saying, "We're out of beanies." I go in there, and I see beanies! See?
They are a buncha liiiiiiiars!!!! Whateva. I came out with two penguins. I
mailed one to Catherine. And my sister gave me Doby the Doberman. So I'm happy
for now.
Well, class was fine because it was Film Thursday. And the film was fu-unny!
*LOL* And then Allan, Michelle, and I went on my quest for teenie beanies.
Which lead us downtown and it was a beautiful day and we were outside for three
good hours. Weeeeeee.
We had a floor meeting about room check out. Check out. Wow, the whole
year is going by so fast. *LOL* At the meeting I saw people I didn't know
lived on this floor. D'oh my bad...*hehe* Well, whateva..I'll probably pack
up and move on the second Friday of June. (The date escapes me for the mo.)
That means no more ethernet. *begins mourning* *LOL*
A couch in the elevator: Okay, so after I got back from downtown and
walking all over "the Ave" I was muy tired and didn't want to walk anymore. So
I waited for the elevator. And it took forever! I could have made it up the
stairs faster! *LOL* Anyways, the door opened and I see about 10 people in
there, along with a couch from the lounge. Um..ooookay. So that's why the
elevator took so long. Haw. I didn't want to get on because I noticed the
elevator was going down to the basement. And I didn't know all these strange
people. But they were real friendly and said, "Come on in!" So I did. And
we went downstairs..and then to the first floor, to the second floor, the
third floor, and finally my floor. I left these goons in there. They
continued to ride the elevator. *LOL* How the heck was I supposed to do
laundry if they were there. They'd see my clothes!!! *LOL* Fine, I'll
do laundry this weekend since Michelle is going home. :-)
(May 30) Another Day, Another Rant on McDonalds...
But first...I went canoeing today. Cool. Haw. I didn't think I'd like to go
canoeing because I hardly ever "dress down" for anything, not counting
dressing down for sleeping. Anyways, I went over to Haggett Hall, where Chunky
and Bennetts live, to see what they were doing. Chunky was mopping the floor
when I came in. *LOL* He suggested canoeing and so we did just that. We had
to walk back to my place so I could change. Bahaw. The walk to the place was
quite far.
I've never canoed before, so I didn't really know how to "do it." First faux
pas, I *jumped* into the canoe instead of slowing easing into it. *LOL* But
I didn't tip the thing over. (:-P) Anyways..there were a lot of duckies and
baby duckies and geesies and their baby geesies. I fed a goose some of my
grain-bar and it followed us for a while. *hehe* Allan plowed through some
ducks. We almost got stuck going down a trail. *LOL*
There was a turtle sunning itself on a log. We made for it. But the canoe
bumped into the stump and the turtle fall down. So we followed it. Allan had
his hand up, ready to grab it, when a bird landed on his hand. He *yelled*,
I *laughed*, and we lost the turtle. D'awwwww. But it was so funny. *LOL*
He yelled at me for not telling him about the bird. Haw.
It was time to go back and went to McDonalds. I was just there yesterday and
the girl said they would get a shipment in tomorrow, which would be today. Haw.
I asked and this new girl said they were totally out. Whatever. I am totally
disenchanted over here. Boo.
(May 31) An Awesome Site to Click on..Enjoy!

PS: I can't *believe* I'm watching Hercules and Xena. Phhhhbbbbbbbbt!!! (:-P)
(June 1) June
It's June. It's June, the month of my birthday. It's June, the end of the
school year. It's June, when the X-Files Movie and Mulan come
out; on the same day as my birthday, no less. It's June, the beginning of
summer. It's June, time for things to happen.
I finished a new page. See it
here.
New News for Today: (June 4) Zandunga! I love that blockbuster
commercial.
Been feelin' weird lately, people. I dunno what's going on. It's probably
because school is ending or something. Haw. Okay...well, I'll tell you about
today:
Today was a late day. I thought I was gonna get to watch DAYS, but I
remembered that I had to make up an astronomy lab I missed two Wednesdays ago.
*hmmmm* I thought I wrote about that Wednesday, but I don't think I did. I
was sick, so I missed school. And it was raining hard and I walked for a long
time outside. It was pretty bad. That's about it. Anyways, this lab...I had
to make it up today at the TA's office hours. His hours were from 11-12.
That's kinda weird because usually office hours are on the :30. *shrugs* So,
that meant that I had to miss DAYS to do this stupid lab. D'awwwwwww. I
went to the Physics Astronomy Building to find his office. But I couldn't find
it?! I wonder if there was an even and odd number room side. Because all I
saw were even numbers, and I needed odd! Anyhoo...I walked around for a few
minutes and then left. As I was leaving...(I was on one side of the building).
..I saw my TA on the other side! ARGH! So I probably was on the wrong part of
the building. I missed my lab. I have no points. :-(
It's film Thursday and today was the creme de la creme of films. A film on the
sex lives of plants. *LOL* "Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind." It was
so funny! The narrator was so serious the whole time, and the things he was
saying was ridiculous!! *LOL* It was a good film, showed many interesting
orchids. I like orchids. :-) Allan then came over and we looked at an
apartment. It's not too far from where I am now, actually. It was really nice,
too. But I thought it was expensive. (No, Larry..I'm not being cheap this
time. *bop*!) It was nearly $800 for a two bedroom/one bath, about the same
as a three bedroom/two bath!! He went to play a gig and I tried to study, but
I got sidetracked...again. *LOL*!
My sister came by to give me my teenie beanies she's been collecting for me.
I get beeeeeeanies!! Catherine found the elephant and she's gonna mail it to
me, too. Weehaw! So I have a whopping teenie beanies.
Pretty good for someone who hates McDonalds, eh? *nudge* I called Ellen tonight
because I haven't talked to her in a long time. I did most of the talking
though..*hehe*..She's coo cuz she listened to me just yammer on for about 30
minutes straight. *LOL* Ellen, you are awesome! *hehe* And all this with
my voice! *LOL* (:-Þ)
That's all that happened today. I have my first final nearing on Monday!
*eek* It's Astronomy and I must do good on it. I need to do good
on it. It's crucial that I do!! I have my psych final on Thursday, so
as soon as the astronomy final is outta the way, I can spend a few good days
studying for it. That's about it here. Just feeling weird and I don't feel
like talking about it here and letting everyone see. Haw.
Even though I am happy with my teenie beanies. I have one question: Where
are they?! Like, they are nowhere! I bet all the stupid, greedy
beanie dealers bought all of them and are holding them until their value
rises. Isn't that just sucky? McDonald's still sucks because they aren't
keeping with the consumer demand. I like how they set it so you didn't have to
get the food. But they said you could get up to ten beanies at once. That's
why they're all gone. Plus, the organization for this is all f*cked up. There
is miscommunication everywhere. No one knows anything. And that's just stupid.
They might as well just dump all these beanies outta a window and watch
people below them fight over the beanies. It'd look exactly how things are
right now. Haw.
I was talking to my friend who works in a toy shop. I bought Michelle a beanie
there for $5. I saw the same beanie at a shopping centre up here for $20. Is
that mad or what?! She told me that these obsessed people are so nuts that she
has to go and open the store early tomorrow. And, if you didn't know by now,
them bears are a big collector's item. They are only getting five, each
one different. And since people are just mad over these bears, there has to be
a drawing for them. Haw. I don't mind that so much. They are fair. And the
price for a sack of beans with eyes sewn in is still reasonable.
I'm nearing an aniversary over here. A year of chatting. Wow. I know the
exact day I started, kinda...I need to look at a 1997 calendar because I
chatted the Sunday following my birthday...I'll know once I look at that
calendar. And I'll definitely know when I go through my discs and discs of
journals I have. It's in there somewhere. I have records of everything!!
*LOL* And so, I'm gonna mention a few peeps I've known for a year:
Tink!!, Ellen, Erin, Jason aka kant
...and others that I've known for almost that long: CheMic@l BoY,
Angie, *d*....There are others I'm sure I'm forgetting...and others
who I don't know how to account for because I don't see them around any more.
Plans for going home? Well, first off, I know I gotta meet the guy I found off
icq who lives like minutes from me. *hehe* It'll be cool, I hope. ;-)
My dad has already told me of a job interview the first Monday I have off.
D'awwwwww. I'm concerned about my tongue. I've been watching myself talk, and
I can see it a lot now! D'oh! I'm gonna go back up to the U the
day after for an appointment. And then my birthday is that Friday! Cool, eh?
I have tentative plans to go and see the X-Files movie with two of my
friends. I dunno who's gonna go with me when I see Mulan, though.
*shrugs*
zandunga no se a tembrata...zandunga a mi corazon...ba bye!
*LOL@ellen*
I know this is a really long update, but I can't sleep and I guess I have a lot
of things to talk about. *sheepish grin* Maybe this will tide chunky over
for a while...he's been bugging me about updating. *LOL!*
(June 7) Ellen should sleep & People are Rude
*LOL* So it's finals time over here. I have an astronomy final on Monday and
a psychology one on Thursday. I move home on Friday. I have a job interview
on Monday. I have an appointment on Tuesday. Those are my plans for the next
few days.
Well, how did I spend my weekend? Not sleeping, that's what. There was just
something that made me stay up for all hours of the day...well, almost. Okay,
so on Friday night I was just up because and the fire alarm went off. So
everyone shuffled outside and we stayed out there 45 minutes. Do you know why?
There was no fire, of course..but some goons pulled the alarm, and some
people didn't leave their rooms. Stupid, eh? So they kept us out there longer
to "punish" us. Haw. I stayed up until 8am, or so and woke up at 4pm. I
studied until 10pm. I did good, Mom! *LOL* So then I was wide awake again.
It's now 6:43am on Sunday. I'm gonna hang on here for a bit longer and then
I'm going to campus to buy some things for the finals and then I'm gonna
study. So I am not coming online tonight. I say that and I honestly
hope I stick with it! So don't tempt me people!! *LOL*
Ellen should sleep because when I went to sleep on Saturday, she stayed up!
That girl must be insane! *LOL* Q: What are offspring of humans and
angels called? *LOL!!* Oh my gosh. Too funny! Anyhoo...also wanted to
apologize to the people I haven't emailed, they know who they are, I've just
been studying and going to classes and stuff, you know? But I'll have a break
this week in which I can reply to everyone's email. :-D
Anyhoo, that is all from here...things are coming to a close, can you believe
it? Wow!! I'll tell ya one thing, I'm gonna miss my ethernet! *cries* I've
also been working on another home page, this one for my "other" self...*hehe*
By the way, on my floor, quiet hours begin at 7pm, but it's 24-hour courtesy.
I was on the phone last night, the door was open because it was so fookin hot,
and there were people just talking so loudly outside in the hallway.
Since I couldn't very well leave the person I was talking to, and
because I didn't have a cordless...what did I do? Why, I slammed mah door as
hard as I could! *LOL* I scared the crap outta Michelle. But you know what?
It worked. Hell, I think the whole floor shaddup! *LMAO* I got
da power!! I didn't have to go to the source and ask politely for them to
quiet down. Because you know that after you leave, they'll be like,
"B*tch." And I didn't have to go and tell the RA, so then the people wouldn't
think that she was the b*tch. I did it my own way, not the best way, but
it worked. So I was happy...and I continued with my telelphone conversation. :-)
(June 8) D'oh
Okay, so my mom knows about my tongue. It was just a matter of time. I mean,
I knew it was coming, but I just wanted it to come later..*hehe* So she knows.
She called to ask me if I called the work people about my interview on
Monday, to which I said, "No, why?" And then she goes, "Take that thing out of
your mouth." "No." "Why?" "Because if I take it out, I can't put it back in."
"So what, it's better being out anyways." "Uh, NO." Etc....So you see how
the conversation went. And I know that if I don't get this job, she'll
blame it on my tongue. I am aware of the consequences of having this, but I
think I'll be just fine. I just don't need her to be harping in my ear about
this, you know? So, I'm hardly looking forward to going home even though I've
been dying to go home for the past few weeks!! Argh!
I had my astronomy final today. It was...erm...interesting..*LOL* I studied
for this all weekend (ie: one big day, see entries below). But I dunno....I
hope I get a 3.0 in that class, that's my goal for this quarter. Pleeeeeease.
*LOL* Oh well, nothing but studying to do until Thursday, which is my
psychology final. I'm reading along quite well, so I should have two good
days of studying. Wehaw!
Okay, so I'm whiny now. Great. This interview. Dare I remove
my barbell? At the max, I estimate it being out for 45 minutes. And if I have
problems putting it back in..oh, don't get me into the complications of
that..I can go downtown to "the metro" and have someone put it back in for
me. But then, okay, I take it out...I get the job, I put it back in..what
difference does it make? *grrrrrr* Bah. This is poopy! I mean, I always knew
what I had to do and put up with when I got this, but now that it's here,
I feel myself backing down almost. Gee, fun..I have this for three months and
then it goes bah-bye. Great. Haw. And it's summer now, I get to see
peoples and then they get to see me. D'awwwww, man! If I take it out,
it's like I'm backing down to my mom, and myself...I don't want that to
happen. *urrrrrrr* What should I do, peoples! *whines* Help meeeeee.
PS: I gots me some mail!! weeeeeeeeeee! :-D
